Born on March 22, 1923, Anne lived to be 95 and fought a courageous 5 year battle with Alzheimer's disease.

She was a loving grandmother, great-grandmother and mother. She is survived by her two children, Gabriele and Manfred and was predeceased by her loving husband Gerhard.

She was predeceased by her loving husband Shirl James White (1993) and her infant daughter.

Also predeceased by parents Frank and Lily Wood, and by her sister Mary Carne.

Scherer PaulSCHERER, Paul - God opened the gates of Heaven on Easter Sunday, April 1, 2018 to welcome Paul Scherer. He died suddenly after a 10-year battle with cancer in the third overtime.

In true form, there was never a day that he gave up and although we are heartbroken, it is no coincidence that God chose this day to take his hand and invite him to the festivities and celebration in heaven on Easter Sunday.

Devoted husband and soul mate to Linda Scherer married for over 40 years. Loving father to Amy Scherer (Dave Chui) and Christopher Scherer (Diana). Cherished grandpa to Dilynn and Evelynn Chui and James, Luke and Christopher Scherer.

She is leaving behind her loving children Andrew (Shawna), Sheldon (Jennifer) and Cassandra (Steven) and her cherished grandchildren Ella and Keaton.

Dale is predeceased by his parents Gideon and Stella, and his brother Wayne.

Leaving to mourn is his loving wife Edwina of 52 years, as well as his two sons Trevor (Lisa), Sean (Shari), his 5 grandsons Kyle, Ryan, Stephen, Bruce, Colin.

Brother to Margaret Anderson of Mississauga and Nora Ann Cooke of Vancouver, B.C. A lifelong resident of Burlington, he was predeceased by his brother Theo and sisters Jean and Joyce.

Eric was a Staff Sergeant with Halton Police force for which he received the Police Exemplary Service Medal in recognition of thirty years of loyal and meritorious service to law enforcement in Canada.

It is with sad hearts we announce the passing of Karl Heinz Moeschter, loving husband of Anne, proud father, grandfather and friend to all who knew him.

Karl was born in Germany, and became a citizen of Canada after arriving in the port of Halifax in 1952.

Karl’s passion for discovering the world led him to many destinations, where he developed his skills in photography and languages. His love for horticulture and all things green lured him across Canada to Victoria’s Butchart Gardens and eventually back to Ontario, where he settled in the town of Georgetown. Here he raised a family while contributing his expertise to the beautiful gardens of the Dominion Seed House.

Jeffries MargaretJEFFRIES, Margaret (nee Fox) - This beautiful lady, Margaret Fox Jeffries, Burlington’s finest "Avon lady" and avid Blue Jays fan, passed away at Grey Bruce Health Services in Southampton on March 28, 2018, at the age of 96.

Beloved wife of the late Jack (1997). Loving mother to Gary (Gillian Carmichael) and Nancy Jeffries Dwyer (Terry Dwyer).

Maguire RosalindMAGUIRE, Rosalind Adele (Gilmartin) - (September 30, 1931- March 28, 2018) - Rosalind Adele Maguire (Gilmartin) passed away peacefully at the age of 86 with family by her side.

Rosalind was born on the family farm in Drew, Ontario. She was the second youngest of 8. She shared great memories of growing up with music, and a strong Catholic faith. She was known as the girl who was always laughing. Rosalind did well in school, never missed a day, and enjoyed playing baseball.

During WWII, she joined the Farmerettes and worked in the Niagara Region to produce food for the war effort. Rosalind went on to become a Registered Nurse and trained in Guelph. She loved nursing and was a natural caregiver. She worked at various hospitals in Toronto, and at St. Joe’s in Hamilton. She and her husband Connor eventually settled in Niagara Falls to raise their 4 daughters.

MANNING, Emma Elizabeth (nee Peggy Rust) - Born November 20, 1939, Doncaster, Yorkshire, emigrated to Canada 1962; died March 28, 2018, Oakville, Ontario.

Survived by her husband of 51 years, James, her son David (Linnea) and grandsons William and Spencer.

Also survived by her sister Helen Mettham, London and brother Robert Rust, Doncaster, Yorkshire.

Barth GunterBARTH, Gunter - My Dad was born in Berlin March 19, 1923 and died March 28, 2018 in his 96th year.

Dad grew up in a happy family with two brothers and particularly enjoyed hikes in the woods and days on the beach.  WW II saw him serving on a minesweeper in the North Sea.He much preferred the rum salvaged from a wreck to the regimented life of the military. When his ship was sunk in harbour with all hands aboard, while Dad was picking up orders at the telegraph office ashore, he took that as a sign that maybe he ought to move on.
