DESA, Ivor - It is with great sadness, and heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Ivor Desa as he was completing his 60th year. He passed away in his home in Erin, ON, on Saturday, February 2nd, 2019.
Ivor will be truly missed by his loving daughters Danielle and Suzanne, and their mother Shalini. He was a cherished son to Raul and Violet and a dear brother to Keith, Jennifer, and Christina.
He was a devoted millwright for the Region of Halton for over 20 years. In his spare time, Ivor enjoyed exploring and caring for his Rockwood property, canoeing, sailing, and spending time with his beloved dogs.
He will be fondly remembered for his great sense of humour and his kind and giving nature. If anyone ever needed a helping hand, Ivor was the first to offer his help.
Ivor Desa’s celebration of life will take place on Saturday, February 9th at McKersie-Kocher Funeral Home, 114 Main Street E., Milton. The drop in celebration will begin at 2 p.m. and go until 6 p.m. There will be parking available at the funeral home as well as the public lot across the street.
Danielle and Suzanne will be speaking at 3 p.m. If you would like to speak and share your memories of Ivor at the celebration, we encourage to do so. Please send us any photos or videos before Thursday to include in a presentation. Coffee, tea, and light refreshments will be served.
To honour Ivor in lieu of flowers, we would like to encourage everyone to donate to the Upper Credit Humane Society (http://uppercredit.com/donate/make-a-donation/) or Canadian Mental Health Waterloo Wellington (http://cmhaww.ca/get-involved/donate/).
Thank you for all of your love, support and prayers over the last couple of days..
