Allingham_HarrietPassed away peacefully at Nithview Community, New Hamburg, on Sunday, September 14th, 2014, in her 91st year.

Beloved wife of Robert George Allingham. Loving mother of Joseph Allingham of Mulmur, Jane Sosu of Mississauga, Robert Allingham of Toronto, and Judith Allingham of Windsor. Cherished mother-in-law of Elizabeth of Mulmur, and Heather of Toronto. Dear grandmother of Bonnie Allingham of Toronto, Tiernan Flynn of Mississauga, Rory Flynn of Toronto, and Caleb Allingham of Mulmur.

She will be sadly missed by her brothers Richard Norman (Joy), Joseph Norman, her sisters Violet Stroh (Albert), and Mary Salzman (Kenneth).

Harriet was predeceased by her parents Charles Norman and Harriet Norman (nee Erb), her brothers Wilfred “Smoky” Norman, Reuben Norman, Harold Norman, Leonard “Red” Norman, Fraser “George” Norman, Ralph Norman, her sisters Evelyn Bassam, and Miriam Zettel, her brother in-law John Allingham, and her sisters in-law Rose Allingham and Emma Allingham.

Harriet was born on July 12th, 1924, attended the Nithburg School, and graduated from London Bible Institute in 1950 (now Tyndale University College & Seminary). She served as a missionary in Beirut, Lebanon, with Child Evangelism Fellowship until 1953.

Harriet was married to Robert George Allingham on October 11th, 1957, at Runnymede Baptist Church in Toronto, Ontario. For many years she attended and served at Park Royal Bible Church and worked at World Vision Canada until her retirement.

Many thanks to the staff at Nithview for all of their loving care!

The funeral will be held in Oakville on Saturday, September 20th. Burial to follow and a private reception.

Peacefully, on Sunday, September 14, 2014 David Allan Jones passed away at Mississauga Trillium Hospital.

David is remembered, loved and missed by his loving wife Dina Jones (nee Marino), and his children Christine Nolan (nee Jones), Tracy Brennan (ne: Jones) and Paul Jones.

David will also missed by his loving grandchildren Megan Nolan, Jason Nolan and Lacey Brennan.

David's memory will also continue on with his many family and friends; including sisters in law Angie D'ambrosio, and Charlotte Marino, David's niece Nicole Burns (nee D'ambrosio) and nephews Gregory Marino, Christopher Marino and Sam D'ambrosio.

Arrangements out of Oakville. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Francis of Assisi Parish, 2473 Thorn Lodge Drive, Mississauga on Friday, September 19th at 11:30 a.m. Burial to follow in Oakville, followed by a wake at Le Dome Banquet Hall, Oakville at 12:30 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial donation may be made to the Arthritis Society.

Sylvia will be greatly missed by the loves of her life Gus and daughters Amber-Lee (Mitchell), Victoria (Troy) and Rusty.

Sylvia is survived by her mother Josephine and stepfather Harry, and Gus's loving siblings, Dianna (late Peter) Conrad (Larysa) Pauline (Martin) Claudette (Conny) Laura (Delos) and Gisele.

She will also be greatly missed by many nieces, nephews, friends and all she touched.

A celebration of Sylvia's life will be held in Burlington on Sunday, September 21st.

Passed away suddenly at Creekway Village, Burlington on Saturday, September 13, 2014 at the age of 91.

Joyce is gone to be with her beloved husband Wilfred (1988), her son Robert (2005), and her sister Betty (2011).

She will be sadly missed by her daughters Linda Hebel of London, Janet Whitehouse and her husband George of Burlington, and daughter in law Tonya Axford of Toronto. Much loved Nana/Grams to Barrett, Britt, Lindsey, Matthew, Brooke, Russell, and Kevin. Special GG of Amelia, Molly, Lincoln, Cooper, and Leo.

Joyce was a longtime volunteer at Joseph Brant Hospital and always enjoyed her time spent with the Girls Club in Hamilton.

The family would like to thank the nurses and PSW’s at Creekway Village for all of their wonderful care and support.

Cremation has taken place. Private family service. Arrangements out of Burlington.

If desired, as expressions of sympathy donations to the Parkinson’s Society or The Willow Foundation would be sincerely appreciated by the family.

Caterina is predeceased by her loving husband Anselmo, whom she will meet again soon.

The family would like to express our most sincere thanks and gratitude to OTMH who exemplified the utmost compassion and professionalism in both our parents' final days. Sincere thanks to Dr. Skupsky who tended to Caterina for almost 40 years. Most sincere thanks to Lucy and Joe for the beautiful and loving care that they took of our parents on an almost daily basis.

Ron was a past recipient of the Rose Award for his gardening, and was an avid reader of fiction novels.

The greatest Papa to Bryden, Kayla, Lita and Noah. Survived by sibling Dolores (Brian). John will never be forgotten by his many nieces, nephews, other family and friends. John was predeceased by his parents Nicholas and Myrtle Curran.

John's family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff at Kingston General Hospital for the compassionate care that he received. 

The Funeral Mass to be held at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 139 Martin St., Milton, on Wednesday, September 17, 2014 at 12 p.m.

Foster_Annie(June 4, 1964 - September 12, 2014) - It is with profound sadness that we announce the death of the bravest woman we will ever know. Annie’s struggle is over and she is now at peace.

Annie was a graduate of Notre Dame Academy, and the Sheridan College Institute of Technology and Advanced Learning. From there she began her career working for Paul Revere Insurance. Raised at St. Elizabeth’s Anglican Church, Annie kept the faith – never giving up, never giving in, and always giving from the heart.

She will be dearly missed by her parents Fred and Eva Edgeworth (ON), her sister Rev. Vickie Edgeworth-Pitcher (Rob Pitcher), her nieces Rebecca Pitcher (Jeff Hoyles), Rachel Pitcher (RJ Palmer), her great nieces Isabella and Brooklyn as well as her pet children Shadow and Sammie.

Many thanks to her best friend Susan Cooper (Nesta), and her special friend Chris Kershaw as well as the many PSW’s, CCAC, and Juravinski staffs, VON’s, Palliative doctors and nurses, all those who held her in prayer, as well as the compassionate staff of Emmanuel House Hospice who enabled Annie to die without pain or fear.

A heartfelt thank you to all of Annie’s faithful friends whose constant visits, phone calls, and cards brought so much joy.

Visitation will be held at St. Matthew on the Plains Anglican Church, 126 Plains Road East, Burlington, Ontario, on Friday, September 19th from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., where a Celebration of Annie’s life will be held on Saturday September 20th at 11 a.m.

In honour of a life well lived we suggest donations be made to: The Cancer Assistance Program, Emmanuel House Hospice (Hamilton), St. Elizabeth’s and St. Matthew on the Plains Church’s in Burlington, St. Thomas the Apostle Anglican Church, Cambridge, or the SPCA.

Survived by Genevieve (nee Granger), his extraordinary, loving wife of nearly 60 years.

Predeceased by his dear, beloved daughter Colleen and deeply missed by daughters Lynda and Alison. Loving “Grandpa” to Justin (Alisha), Lindsay (Kevin), Katie, Rebecca and Megan. Respected father-in-law to Ron Murray and Brian Ellison.

Fondly remembered by sister Eleanor Cox of Goderich, Ontario and her husband Michael. Brother-in-law to Anna and Lyle Lemon of Straffordville, Ontario, Helen and Ray Kennedy of Aylmer, Ontario and Evelyn and Loyall Granger of Port Burwell, Ontario. Predeceased by Bill and Gloria Granger and by Charles Granger. Remembered as kindly “Uncle George” by his many nieces and nephews.

George was born and raised in Port Dalhousie, Ontario and moved to Oakville in the late 1950’s. He was an active member of St. Hilda’s Anglican Church and later joined the Church of the Epiphany where he sang in the choir well past his 85th birthday.

For years he was a senior salesman for Stanley Tools and he capped his career by becoming Canadian Sales Manager for the Kirsch Company. To all he was simply “George”, a genuine, fun-loving individual.

The family extends its sincere gratitude to the wonderful staff at Ian Anderson House, Dr. Helen Pyle for her care of George during his final months, and also to the Acclaim Health Home Care staff. Thanks also to the Reverend Suzanne Craven of the Church of the Epiphany.

George’s funeral will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, September 19th at the Church of the Epiphany (141 Bronte Road in Oakville).

She was the beloved wife of the late Patrick Hunt (1987). Loving mother of Douglas and his wife Vicki Fowles, Karen and her husband David Tyers, and Rhonda and her husband David Prince.

Dear grandma to 11 grandchildren; Jennifer Alexander and her husband Michael, Jonathon Tyers and his wife Sara, Ryanne MacKenzie and her husband Boyd Heslop, Braden Hunt and his wife Jessie, Aidan MacKenzie, Rachel Deeks and her husband Colin, Patrick Hunt, Tara Hunt, Cristin Hunt, Tyler Fick and Nigel Fick.

Proud great-grandma to eight great-grandchildren; Olivia, William and Bennett Alexander, Katelyn and Amelia Tyers, Nathan and Tyler Heslop and Felicity Hunt.

Mary will be missed by her brother Robert Hanna and his sons Jack, Rick and their families.

Mary cherished her Irish heritage and visited Ireland many times. Her mother and dad emigrated from Ireland to Burlington in 1920. She has many relatives in Ireland, the United States and Canada.

A Funeral Service will be held at St. Luke’s Anglican Church, 1382 Ontario St, Burlington, on Monday, September 15 at 1:30 pm. Reception to follow at the Burlington Golf and Country Club, 422 North Shore Blvd. E., Burlington.

Moore_Marie_MabelWas born to Leah and Leo W. Aube in Bathurst, New Brunswick on September 28th, 1931. She entered into heaven peacefully, and with dignity on September 12th, 2014.

A loving mother and homemaker, words that best describe Mabel or "Lil Nan" are amazing, kind, gentle, practical, witty and straight shooter. In her youth, she was an avid golfer, curler and sports enthusiast. She loved reading her paper from tip to tail, watching "her shows", and would regularly beat most contestants on Jeopardy.

Most important to her were her buddies, Bear, her treats (Lunchables & candies) and the odd glass of wine. From those cheeks, you never knew what Mabel was going to say but you were always glad she said it.

Mabel had an unwavering faith in God and a special devotion to Mary, our Mother. She was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church and only until recently was always in attendance with her family for Eucharist.

Mabel was predeceased by her husband of 50 years, Laurance B. Moore. She was also predeceased by her brother, Donald Aube. Mabel is survived by her son Kenneth Moore and his wife Wendy of Riverview NB, her son Shawn of Moncton NB, her son Peter and his wife Jennifer of Windsor NS, her son David and his wife Tammy of Riverview NB, and her daughter Lori (Gallant) and her husband Jeff of Georgetown ON. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, and one great grandchild.

A funeral mass celebrating her life and reception will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday, September 16th at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 14400 Argyll Road, Georgetown, Ontario, L7G 5S6. Interment will be in Riverview NB at a later date.

Jim was a longtime resident of Oakville and former accountant with Ford Motor Company.

He was a Veteran of WWII, serving as a Lieutenant with the Royal Canadian Navy and a graduate of McGill University in Commerce.

Predeceased by his wife Vivian. Loving father of Peggy Romanek (Bart), Dave Fitzpatrick (Chris) and Kathryn Wachmann. Grandfather to Kim, Michael, John, Scott, James, David and Michael. Great- grandfather of Meghan, Hanna, Kyle, Ryan and Nathan.

Service to be held at St. John's United Church, 262 Randall Street, Oakville, 11:00 a.m., on Friday, September 26th.

Dear sister to Barbara Braithwaite (Ken), Walter Peters (Kathy) and Jean Basterache (Jamie). She has left to be with her eldest brother Joe Peters who has left behind with us his loving wife Sheila.

She will be fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews whom were all very special to her. Faye was a vivacious woman who gave her all at everything she took on.

A celebration of her life was held in Milton on Monday, September 15th.
