Wife of Keith Twiss and beloved mother of Phyllis (Ben Dalimonte), Kathy (Bob Hunter), Evelyn (Jon Anderson) and Bob Twiss.

Grandmother to James Dalimonte, Brigette (Bord Garrote), Tammy (Geoffrey Burton), Christina (TJ McCauley), Crystal Anderson and Lorrie Anderson (Marc) as well as 8 great grandchildren.

She will also be remembered by Beverly Hunter and by her sister, Gertie Pries.

A funeral service will take place in Milton on Tuesday, April 15th. Interment to follow.

Peacefully on Monday, April 7, 2014 at Martindale Gardens Retirement Residence in Milton, Tony Bradshaw passed away in his 88th year.

Predeceased by Sheelagh, his beloved wife of 62 years.

Tony will be greatly missed by his sons Martin (Aki) and Graham (Sharon), by his sister-in-law, Marjorie Hurrell in England and by his friends and neighbours.

Tony, born in Birmingham, England, was predeceased by his parents, Margaret and Stanley Bradshaw and by his sister Barbara and brother Ronald, all of England.

Jerry passed away on April 7, 2014 at the Juravinski Hospital after a short illness at the age of 80 years.

Jerry leaves his siblings, Sheila of Hagersville, Erle (Helen) of Hagersville, Brian (Susan) of St. Williams and Claire of Hamilton.

Jerry had a varied life serving in the Royal Canadian Air force for 10 years, serving with the Brothers of the Good Shepherd for 11 years in Albuquerque, New Mexico, Columbus, Ohio and Toronto shelters. For 17 years, he was a court clerk at Old City Hall, Toronto involved in some well-known cases.

Jerry resided at Dundurn Place for the last several years.

Arrangements out of Burlington. Cremation has taken place with private interment.

Leonard Folkens was the beloved husband of Ilse Folkens, and dear father of Thomas (Christina), Norbert (Janette) and Doris.

His grandchildren are Claudia, Gabriel and Liv-Starla.

Leonard immigrated to Canada from Germany as a young man. He worked for 25 years for Hercules Canada in Burlington. He also began his own chemical trading company. Up to recently, he managed Folkens-Naegeler Investments Inc.

A Service of Remembrance will be held in Burlington on Tuesday, April 15th. Interment in Hamburg, Germany.

Born in Longueuil, Quebec on August 31st, 1922. Norma passed away peacefully with family at her side at the Ridgeview Long Term Care Facility on Monday, April 7, 2014.

It has been a long wait for her husband and beloved partner in life, Kenneth Jones, who passed away in 2001, but they will now be together again.

Loving mother of Judi (Donley), Karen, and Cathy. Cherished grandmother of Kimberley, Tammy, Jennifer and Lori Anne. Great grandmother to Amber, Swayde, Fayth, Hailey, MacKenzie, Ricky and Alex. Surrogate great grandmother to Jody. Longtime friend of Doreen.

Predeceased by her lifelong friend and sister Florence, brothers Dewey and Harry, and sister Lena. Survived by brother Norman.

Norma was a devoted and caring wife, mother and grandmother with special homemaker and great cooking skills that always brought the family together. Her life was filled with compassion, love and caring and was a joyous gift to her family and friends.

Mom was a secretary for her entire working career. She talked with pride of her typing and shorthand skills, tools of the trade of her era, and so suited to a woman who found pleasure in being organized and meticulous. Mom had four great passions in her life, notwithstanding her family: travel, cats, clothes, and chocolate. They remained a part of her life well into her 80’s.

Vic was a Broker owner and member of the real estate community for over 47 years, in both North Bay and Oakville, Ontario. He served as President of the North Bay Real Estate Board, was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Probus Club and Rotary Club for over 40 years.

Lambert_Tyler(March 21, 1977 – April 3, 2014) - Our beautiful and so loved son Tyler passed away peacefully at Juravinski Hospital in Hamilton with his parents and special friends Ryan and Jane by his side.

Tyler was born in Montreal and at the age of 6 moved with his parents to Burlington.  He attended Aldershot High School and received his graphic design diploma from George Brown.  At 3 months, Ty was diagnosed with hemophilia.  Treatments of blood products lead to him becoming A VICTIM OF THE TAINTED BLOOD SCANDAL OF THE 1980'S.

A more determined, brave and stronger son we couldn't have wished for.  He lived as normal a life as possible and with all his daily difficulties and challenges he never questioned or complained.

He leaves behind his parents Steve and Saxon who adored him.  He will be deeply missed by his Eastern Lambert family; uncle Brad (Cathy), Aunt Marg, cousins Natalie (Adam), Matt (Jenna), and Chris, and their children; Everett, Dallas and Billy Rose.

Forever remembered by his Western Chadwick family; Aunt Pam, Aunt Gail (Don), Uncle Pete (Diane), Aunt Kerry (Fred), cousins Launie, Jessica (Byron), Kristie (Scott), Matt (Candace), Julie (Chris), Jamie (Curtis), Tanya, Shyla (Jamie), and Brittany (Jeff), and their children; Doryin, Henrick, Maddie, Isibeal, Rowyn, Amelia, Meredith, Riley, and Abigail.

Predeceased by his maternal grandparents Dr. Rod and Pat Chadwick, paternal grandparents Murray and Geta Lambert and very special uncle, Gil Lambert.

Of Burlington, died at Burloak Long Term Care on Wednesday, April 2nd, 2014 at the age of 82 after a long and courageous struggle with Alzheimer’s disease.

Loving husband of the late Barbara Janet Buzza (nee Lush), proud father of Andrea and Aiden and grandfather of Kayla and Sa’ar.

Uncle to the Lush family: Curt (deceased), Laura, Barbara, Valerie (Bill) and John (Mani), and great-uncle to Maris, Eliot, Evelyn and Jack. Uncle to the Buzza family: Dawn, Brad, Jane, Nancy (2005), Sue and great-uncle to Jason, Erin, Elizabeth and Perry. Fondly remembered by other family and close friends.

Farm boy turned Burlington Real Estate Broker and Racquetball Club owner. Murray savoured adventure and was always eager to act on a sailing crew for fun. He loved hiking, and successfully trekked to the top of Mt. Kilimanjaro in Tanzania, Kalapathar in Nepal and Mt. Rundle in Banff.

A celebration of life service will be held in Burlington on Sunday, April 6th.

Predeceased by his wife, Cecilia  and eldest son, Ian. 

Loving father of Keith (Barbara nee Carson), Chris (Claire nee Eakins), Susan Harris (David) and Michael.

Patrick is survived by brother Leo and sister Patricia Gallagher and grandchildren Louise, Emma, Daniel and Anna, Chelsea, Kevin, Kyle and Sarah, Rob and Andrew. Great grandchildren Harrison and Chloe.  

Funeral service will be held on Saturday April 5, 2014 in Oakville.  Interment. 

Donations to the Alzheimer’s Society of Canada or a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.

Passed peacefully after a 5 year battle with dementia at the Brantford General Hospital on Tuesday April 1, 2014, Helen Hudzik age 76 years.

Beloved mother of Susan Ford, Brenda Flear, Lorna “Lee” Noseworthy, Sherry Robson (Dave) and Lorne Ford (Jennifer).

Cherished grandmother of many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Dear sister of Sheila Irwin (Ron) and Tom Black (Gisele).

Visitation to be held on Saturday April 5th in Burlington. Private cremation to follow.

Peacefully on Tuesday, April 1, 2014 at Northridge Long Term Care, Oakville. Herb, born April 16, 1918 in Tantallon, Saskatchewan.

Beloved husband for 70 years of Mildred (Lindsay). Loving father of Eric (Jayne Harley) of Port Colborne.

Predeceased by siblings Val, Esther, Christine, Ray, Harald and Randy.

Lovingly remembered by nieces, nephews and many friends.

Herb enjoyed golf, reading, walking and travel.

KYLE, Elizabeth Carol 'Liz' -

Kyle_Liz(1964 - 2014) - Liz died April 1st, 2014 peacefully with parents Jenny & Fergus Kyle beside her, after a 10-year battle with MS.

She will be sadly missed by brothers Peter (Renée), James (Julie), nieces Gillian, Catherine & Vivienne and nephews Philip & Simon.

Born May 8th, 1964 in Montreal's Queen Elizabeth hospital (thus her name), Liz first attended École Alpha then McCaig Elementary in Rosemere, Quebec then Stover School in England and Aldershot High School in Burlington.

She studied political sciences at Queen's University in Kingston and Edinburgh University in Scotland.

Among her many accomplishments were: Liz and her Mum started soccer for girls in her town, being awarded Stover School's "Top Sports Girl" for cross-country running and field lacrosse and the Top Cadet Naval Reserve Award at Hamilton's HMCS Star. After university, Liz worked in London for the British House of Commons and an investment firm.

Liz made a life for herself and dogs Katie & Mac at her home in Musquodoboit Harbour, Nova Scotia by working in the insurance, banking and investment industries. She served the Naval Reserve in Halifax for some years. The most notable of Liz's working adventures was aboard an Arctic supply ship.

Following the 12pm visitation, we will celebrate Liz's life at 1pm on Saturday, April 12th at St. Luke's Church, 1371 Elgin Street, Burlington, Ontario. Interment follows immediately, with a light lunch in the Church Hall.

LUMB, Marion Florence (nee Livesley) -

Died April 1, 2014 in Burlington, Ontario.

Survived by her husband of 69 years, James (Jim); daughter Judith Skelton-Green (Ron), son Barry (Terry); grandsons Chad (Janice) and Kevin (Gunther); granddaughters Caroline and Tricia Lumb; great-grandchildren Eric and Toby Skelton-Duddy and brother-in-law Tom Lumb (Shirley).

Marion lived a long and full life as a devoted mother and wife.

She loved to curl at the Burlington Curling Club and to golf, where she was a Captain of Ladies Golf, at the Burlington Golf and Country Club. She also enjoyed playing bridge, especially with her ladies’ bridge group.

Private Cremation has taken place.

A Service of Remembrance to celebrate her life will be held on Thursday, April 10, 2014 in Burlington.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Joseph Brant Hospital Foundation or a charity of your choice would be sincerely appreciated by the family.

Mike passed away suddenly on Tuesday, April 1st, 2014 after a lengthy illness.

He was the devoted and loving husband of Sandy (a marriage made in Heaven) and the loving father of: Kelly Wilson (James) and Scott.

Mike was a doting grandfather to Rylea, Olivia and Makaylah.
