(April 2, 1925 - May 13, 2013) -Peacefully passed away at the Joseph Brant Hospital in Burlington.

Beloved wife of Harry for 62 years. Cherished mother of Donna (Randy) Schinkel of Pickering and Carol Lemon (John Stewart) of England. Predeceased by her sister, Barbara. Loving grand-mother to Paul (Sarah) Schinkel, Matthew (Olanie) Schinkel and Scott Schinkel (Michelle Linn). Proud great-grandmother to Brandon, Ryan, Jonathon, Jadon and Candace Marie.

Caring sister-in-law of Betty and Keith Lush. Life-long friend of Ken (the late Virginia) Dechert of Ancaster, and Ed (Joyce) Jones of Toronto. Marie will be sadly missed by extended family and friends.

Born in Niagara Falls, Ontario, to Herb and Frieda Haynes and graduated from Hamilton General Hospital School of Nursing, class of 1946B. As a registered nurse, she worked in Niagara Falls General Hospital and after married, worked for the Victorian Order of Nursing in St. Catharines.

She was a past president of the Hamilton Health Sciences Volunteer Association. She was an active member of East Plains United Church, serving on many committees. Marie was a longtime member of Probus Club of Burlington, and an avid bridge player.

A Funeral Service will be held at East Plains United Church (375 Plains Road East, Burlington) on Friday at 1:30 p.m. Interment to follow.

If desired, as an expression of sympathy, donations made to the East Plains United Church Memorial Fund would be greatly appreciated by the family.

Nelson (Nels to his friends) was the beloved husband of Gwendolyn (Gwen) for 69 years. He was a devoted father to daughter Connie Chamberlain (Edward) and son Dennis Walkinshaw (Patricia).

He was the cherished Pappy to grandsons Sean, Paul, Dion, Rob and granddaughters Kelly and Betty-Anne. He was the much loved GP (great-grandfather) to Kayla, Tyler, Gabriella, Samantha, Kyle, Hailey, Adam, Kaitlyn and Noah.

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, May 17th in Burlington. Private interment.

Rick was an avid cribbage player and dog lover. He spent many years as a Construction Superintendent overseeing many projects while maintaining his membership in Local 18 for over 50 years.

A celebration of Rick’s life will take place on Wednesday, May 15, 2013 in Burlington. Interment.

John was predeceased by his parents Howard and Mary Bradley, brothers Norman (infant), Bill, Roy and sister Edna Fortner.

The funeral service will be held at St. Stephen’s Anglican Church 14946 Steeles Ave. (at 9th Line) in Hornby on Saturday, May 18, 2013 at 11:00 am.

John has been a lifetime member of St. Stephen’s Anglican church and the family requests, in lieu of flowers, charitable donations be made to St. Stephen’s Anglican Church or a Milton charity of your choice.

Earle was the loving devoted husband to Alice(nee Brown) for over 61 years, and dedicated Dad of Michele(Kevin), the late Stephen(2012), Vanessa(Dan), Brenda and Eric. Proud Poppa of nine grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

He will be missed by his brother and three sisters in New Brunswick.

Friends will remember Earle as a quiet but vibrant man who was there for anyone who needed him. A longtime resident of Oakville and an employee of Oakville Dairy for 18 yrs and Oakville Hydro for 21 yrs.

A Celebration of Earle's life will be held in Oakville on Thursday, May 16th.

Cherished grandmother of Maria Wilding (Nelson), Rosanna Coburn (John), Rita Cunningham (Lloyd), Rino Distefano (Rosa), Josie Tuck (Stephen) and Mimma Venema (Ed). Giuseppa will be deeply missed by her 16 great-grandchildren, her sister and brother, nieces and nephews, extended family in Italy, and brothers-in-law.

Predeceased by many siblings and extended family.

Family wishes to thank the doctors, nurses and staff of the Joseph Brant Hospital for their excellent care and support. The family also wishes to thank the PSW’s from the Red Cross Society, Alice and the many others who made a difference in our life.

(1919 - 2013) - Passed peacefully, surrounded by family at the Joseph Brant Hospital in Burlington on Saturday, May 11, 2013.

Survived by his loving wife, Agnes (nee Kelly). Loving father to Debra and Dennis Heming of Burlington. Cherished and proud grandfather to Julia, who was the great love and joy in his life.

Julian is a graduate of the University of Toronto Engineering, and received his MBA at McGill University in Montreal. Spending his career with the Westinghouse in Montreal, then moving to Hamilton to continue his career. Life member, plaque receiver and board member of the IEEE for both local and international chapters. One of the original founders of Probus Club of Burlington.

Julian enjoyed working with undergrads and Scholarship committees, always giving his time and generosity to family, friends, and organizations. Julian enjoyed golfing for the past 50 years and was a proud member of the Hamilton Golf and Country Club. He had a wonderful life and a full career.

warm and special thanks to Dr. Adam Grzeslo who went above and beyond the call of duty to be an advocate for Julian and the entire family. Thank you to the PSW’s, palliative care nurses and staff of the Joseph Brant Hospital for the incredible care given.

With heavy hearts, the family of Mary Gilbert announces her passing on Saturday, May 11, 2013 in Georgetown, in her 99th year. A very special mum, grandmother and great-grandmother passed peacefully away.

Mary Elizabeth Reeve was born in 1915 in Glen Williams, the third of six children born to Arthur and Annie Reeve. She grew up in Georgetown and in 1939 she married Charles "Chuck" William Gilbert of Milton and they spent 60 years together prior to his passing in 1999. They lived in Toronto where they raised their two children, Neil and Margot.

Chuck was a police officer and Mary worked at Grand and Toy, in the Cloverdale Mall. A few years after retirement, they moved to Georgetown.

Loving mother of Neil (Barbara) and Margot (Ken) Kaminski. Proud Nana Mary of Keith, Laurie and Erin (Andrew) Lanouette. Great-grandmother of Katie Gilbert, Christopher, Jordan and Emily-Anne Lanouette. Lovingly remembered by Katie's mother Rhonda Workman.

Predeceased by her brothers Sidney, William, Robert and Albert and her sister Frances (in childhood) and Chuck's brothers George and Ernest and his sisters Lily and Mary and their spouses. Mary is survived by several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Thank you to all of those who helped to care for Mary both at Mountainview Residence and Extendicare and to the wonderful family, friends and volunteers who visited her.

Funeral service in Georgetown on Saturday, May 18th. Interment.

Abbie loved sports and played lacrosse, hockey, and baseball. He also coached and refereed baseball and hockey. He was first employed by Nicholson Lumber and then moved on to Shell Canada.

 Jean was predeceased by her brothers Kenneth and Leighton. She will be sadly missed by her grandchildren Jamie (Andrea Martin) and their daughter Olivia, Mark (Genevieve Simard), Kate (Sebastian Escagues), Andrew, Christopher and Larissa.

Jean was born at the Ralston family farm on the 6th Line in Lefroy, Ontario where she and her brothers were raised by their parents, the late Myrtle (Todd) and Harvey Ralston. Once Jean completed her formal education, she embarked on her journey to Toronto where her working career began and she met and married Ed.

Jean and Ed moved to Burlington where they raised their family. She provided constant support to her family by maintaining a foundation of unwavering stability. Throughout her life, Jean maintained strong connections to family and friends, and was an active member of her church. She belonged to Churchill United Church at Lefroy and East Plains United Church in Burlington.

A special thank you to the wonderful care teams at Comfort Keepers, Acclaim Health, Hamilton Niagara Haldimand Brant CCAC, Park Avenue Manor and Joseph Brant Hospital for all of their care and support. Special thanks to Louise Griffin, Anoja Gray, and Jenn Perry for the special caring and companionship they provided to Jean.

The celebration of her life Service will be held on Saturday May 18th in Burlington.

Born in Toronto on October 6, 1945 and passed away in Burlington on May 10, 2013 at the age of 67.

Son of the late James and Norma Elizabeth Wallace. Beloved husband and soul mate to his wife Delores Christine (nee Sarty), whom he married on June 12, 1971. Cherished father of Robert James. Lovingly remembered by his cousin Bruce Wallace and family, Marie Wilson and the late Robert (Bob) Eric Wilson, Lawrence and Mary Sarty, Paul and Kathleen Sarty and their families.

Reg worked in the carwash business for 33 years with Esso and Shell in Mississauga, S.M.S. Petroleum Ltd. (Suncor Sunoco Group) in Burlington and Oakville, and Wash Works in Hamilton. He was well known for his strong dedication to his family and friends, his love of people, and his involvement in the community. While at Sunoco he participated with B.O.M.B.A. (baseball), B.M.L.H.A. (hockey), the United Way of Oakville, Masonic Lodge Burlington, I.O.F., and Burlington Chamber of Commerce. Reg received much special recognition being named Consumer Choice winner and received many awards for overall best site in Sunoco’s “Drive for Excellence”.

Cremation has taken place. Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday May 16, 2013 in Burlington.

Heartfelt thanks to the staff at Joseph Brant Hospital for their care and support.

Passed away at Joseph Brant Hospital, Burlington on Thursday May 9, 2013 at the age of 40.

Cherished father of Jordan and Liam. Dear husband of Kristina (nee Maddren).

Beloved son of Harry and the late Madeline, and brother of Stuart. Paul will be sadly missed by his Uncle Derek (Anne), and Aunt Joan (Lewis), and his many cousins. He will be fondly remembered by the Maddren family, and his nieces.

Cremation has taken place. Service of Remembrance will be held on Wednesday, May 15th in Burlington.

Dear husband of Connie Balson for 50 years.  Loving father of Kim Litwiller (Scott), Stacey Donaldson (Kirk) and Joey.

Proud Papa of Stephen, Shayne, Sheldon, Sydney, Gesse, Jake and Rebecca.

Joe was born in Weston, Ontario, and moved to Georgetown in 1965 and owned and operated the “GULF” service station for 30 plus years, with his brother-in-law the late Ray Roberts.

Dear brother of Betty and Ruby and predeceased by brother Alfred and sisters Eva and Jean.

Funeral Liturgy will be held in Georgetown on Tuesday, May 14th.  Cremation has taken place.

Pierre DiBie, beloved husband of Fran. Dear father of Melanie (Tony Krizmancic). Pierre will be missed by his step children Christine (Steve) and Jessica (Jeff). Sadly missed by his brothers and sisters Anne Marie, Isabelle, Bruno and Jean Francois. Predeceased by his first wife Angela and his parents Andre and Jeanne.

Pierre spent his working life in sales, he enjoyed playing softball and was a Life member of the Milton and District Kinsmen Club.

Thank you to the staff at Allendale, Dr. K. L. Chung, Dr. Hunter, the staff at Milton District Hospital and the Oakville Rehab Clinic.

The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 14, 2013 in Milton.
