Vragovic_JoeIt is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Joe, in his 75th year, on Thursday, September 3, 2015, at St. Peter's Hospital.

Beloved husband of Ruzica (Rose) for 49 years. Cherished father of Andrea and Goran and wife Janet and proud grandfather of Alexandra, Matthew, Joseph, Marco and Viktor who brought him so much joy.

Joe was a dear friend and neighbour to so many and will be fondly remembered by all who knew him.

Joe was born in Zagreb, Croatia and came to Canada in 1968 with his family. He launched a successful business, which he oversaw until recently. He was happiest, though, when spending time with his family and entertaining friends. Joe's legacy of laughter and zest for life will live on through all who knew him.

Visitation will be held at Markey-Dermody Funeral Home, 1774 King Street East, Hamilton, Ontario on Monday, September 7th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. with Vigil prayers at 7:15 p.m.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Cross Croatian Church, 1883 King Street East, Hamilton on Tuesday, September 8th at 9:30 a.m. with interment to follow.

Dear Nonno of Lucilla (Robert) D'Alesio, Nick (Jessica) DeStefano, Marisa and Tony Lesina.

Dear brother and brother-in-law of Luca and the late Lucia Fiorillo, the late Filippo and Ilda Fiorillo, Antonio and Sestina Fiorillo, Carmine and Giovanna Fiorillo, and Domenica Fiorillo. Dear brother-in-law of the late Maria and the late Angelo DiMunno, Francesco and Giovannina Apicella. Survived by many nieces and nephews in Canada, Italy, France, Germany and England.

Special thank you to the staff of Arbour Creek Nursing Home, the ICU at St. Joseph's Hospital and Father Charlie Galea for their excellent care and compassion.

She was predeceased by her husband Robert Ernest (1977). She will be dearly missed by her children, Robert, Katherine (Aidan), John (Susan), Frank (Susan), Chris (Chantal) and most beloved daughter, caregiver and companion Mary Ellen, and special friend Irene.

Frances was the proud Grandmother of Theresa, Ginny, Rob, Andrea, Barry, Jennifer, Sylvia, Lisa, Cheryl, James, Jeffery, Jason and Matthew as well as fourteen great-grandchildren. Frances was a tiny lady, with a love so great to be shared by all who knew her.

She was the Granddaughter of a U.S. Civil War Veteran.

The family wishes to thank the Staff of Joseph Brant Hospital and Dr. Armstrong.

As per Mom's wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held at a later date.

Dear sister-in-law of Ruth, Ralph, George (Eleanor) and their families. Predeceased by her brothers Ted and Dutton Copp and sister-in-law of predeceased Helen Alkerton, Dora (George) Kerr, Frank Perkins, Earl Alkerton (Dorothy), Jessie Alkerton and their families.

Beverley was a long time member of Ryerson United Church, Ancaster. Her Ryerson family provided great joy and support throughout the years. For years she was a member of the Engineers Wives Club, Thesarus Club, Probus Club and Neighbourhood Bridge Club. She was the proud recipient of the Rotary Paul Harris Award, supporter of World Vision and proud mother to two foster children. She was a member of the Ancaster Senior Achievement Centre, a volunteer with the Highgate Senior Centre and Local Cribbage Master.

Special thanks to Dr. Benger, Wendy and the Juravinski staff.

Raised in Woodstock, Ontario, Leone is the last surviving sibling of seven children of the Carter family.

She is lovingly remembered by her daughter Sylvia Nagle, four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her daughter Jo Ann Hertog, her son Graham Whyley and her loving husbands, Ozzie Borkwood and William Whyley.

Leone was a dedicated employee, for many years a Brown's Department Store in Brantford. She lived a full and vibrant life enjoying her love of bridge, travel, dancing and her beautiful garden.

The family will receive friends at the "THORPE BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL" 96 West Street , Brantford, Ontario on Saturday September 5th from 9:30 am to 10:00 am. A Celebration of her life will be held in the chapel Saturday at 10:00 am. Interment.

Beloved wife of the late Frank Kozlar (1989), and dear mother of Marianne and her husband Milan Sobocan and Francine and her husband Trent Calver. Loving grandmother (Grams) to granddaughters Mikki and her husband Dan Rocha and Justine Sobocan. Proud Great Grandmother (GiGi) to Luca Rocha.

Adored by her brothers John Antolin and the late Emil Antolin (1999). She will be sadly missed by many of her cousins and friends, especially her dear friend Sheri.

Annie was an employee of the Hamilton Public Library for over 30 years until her retirement. During her retirement years, she was an avid gardener who truly loved her roses and was especially proud of her vegetable and rock gardens.

The family would like to thank Dr. Wasi and nurse Shannon, at the Juravinski Cancer Centre, for their wonderful care and support over the last year and a half. Thank you also to all the nurses and doctors at the Juravinski Hospital, on C4, for their exceptional care and support.

Visitation will be at Dodsworth & Brown Funeral Home, 378 Wilson Street East, Ancaster, Ontario on Monday, September 7 from 1-4 pm and 7-9 pm. Prayers at 8pm.

Funeral Mass at St Ann’s Church, 11 Wilson Street West, Ancaster on Tuesday, September 8 at 11am with interment to follow.

Also survived by her brother Grant (Doreen) Rush.

Brother-in-law of Glen Giavedoni. Ivan is predeceased by his parents Agostino and Ernestina Bortolussi and in-laws Angelo and Palmira Giavedoni.

Ivan will also be dearly missed and fondly remembered by all of those who knew and loved him. He owned and operated F. Bortolussi Electric Ltd. for over 30 years where he forged many wonderful friendships and memories.

Forever in the hearts of Aarron (Tanya) Gilchrist their children, Brooklyn and Hayden as she will always be their Nanny.

Donna will be fondly remembered by her nieces, nephews and other family members who like others will miss the mitts, slippers and other hand-made crafts.

A heartfelt thank you, to a very special Sister-in-law, supportive friend, and loving fellow volunteer at St. Joseph's Lifecare, Karan (David) Stemmler. Thank you for being there for our Mom, Karan words can never express our appreciation for your love and support.

The family would like to express their appreciation to the staff for the care given to Donna during here time at St. Joseph's Lifecare Centre, Dr. Hadley and the staff of "Bluebird", and a special thank you to Dr. Gregoire and Dr. Trevor and the staff of the Palliative Care Unit at the BGH for their compassionate care shown during this difficult time.

Cremation has taken place.

In lieu of flowers donations to the Alzheimer Society of Brantford or ARTC Brantford (Adult Recreation Therapy Centre) is appreciated.

The family will receive friends at the "Thorpe Brothers Funeral Home and Chapel, 96 West Street, Brantford, ON on Saturday September 26th from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. A Celebration of her Life will be held in the Chapel at 1:00 pm. A Private family interment will take place in Waterford.
