Beloved son of the late Arthur William Nablow and Flora Evelyn Nablow.

Dear brother of Dr. Ralph Arthur Nablow of Hamilton.

Judge Nablow was a graduate of the University of Toronto Faculty of Law, and a judge with the International Association of Refugee Law Judges in the Netherlands. He was widely admired for his knowledge of international affairs. His proficiency in foreign languages was exceptional.

A private funeral has taken place. Judge Nablow is interred in the Woodland Cemetery in Hamilton.

Catherine passed away peacefully after a brief struggle with Cancer with her beloved Peter by her side.

Catherine was born August 31, 1951, the daughter of the late Howard and Ursula Bryce and is predeceased by her sister Sharon Lackey and brother Paul Bryce.

Catherine was everything to her husband Peter. Always proud and loving mother of Michelle Marks (Richard), and Danielle (Hentie Pretorius). Joyous Grandmother of Marle, Eduan, Kaya Jade, Teagan and Malia.

True friend to, and of so many.

Catherine fought to give us more time, each hour a gift to all she loves and those who love her.

Sincerest gratitude to the many who have given of themselves in the compassionate care and thoughts of Catherine and her family. Your individual and coordinated efforts will never be forgotten.

Cherished brother of Elizabeth "Betty" McLeod. Will be missed by many extended family members and friends.

Alex was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying gardening, golfing and fishing. He loved bowling and was a member of the Canadian Tenpin Federation.

Alex was an accomplished artist, he made a career as a commercial designer, he designed and painted signs over the years and was a prolific landscape painter.

In recent years, Al faced many challenges accepting each with dignity, grace and his indomitable sense of humour.

Along the way, many doctors and their staff helped in ways too numerous to mention. A special thank you to all.

Nonno will be missed by his grandchildren Natasha and Marco, sister Adua Uppiani, and sisters-in-law Dea Bunkiewie, Vanda (Mario) Palombella, Ida (Mondo) Faccenda, brother-in-law Malio (Violet) Pizzagalli as well as many nieces and nephews.

Silverio retired at the age of 65 after 25 years of driving truck for Barclay Construction.

He chose to do things he loved, spend time with his wife, and teach the art of gardening to his grandkids. On rainy days he would watch his favourite soccer team Roma. You will be sadly missed by everyone you touched.

A Funeral Mass will take place at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church (20 Idlewood Ave.) on July 31, 2014 at 1:30 p.m. Interment will follow.

Victor was a retired and proud employee of Dofasco for over 34 years sharing stories with his grandchildren often.

He spent many years enjoying travelling and his homes in Florida and Hamilton. An avid sportsman, having grown up in Northern Ontario, he enjoyed playing hockey, curling, golf and billiards.

Predeceased by grand parents George Tremmel, John Hall and Velma Hall .

He will be sadly missed by his aunts, uncles and cousins and fondly remembered by his friends. 

Phil was an avid hunter and fisherman and he loved his two dogs, Bandit and Casha

Service will be held in Caledonia on Thursday, July 31, 2014.  Cremation to take place. 

In lieu of flowers donations to the Canadian Mental Heath Association of Haldimand - Norfolk ( 322 Broad W, Dunnville, ON N1A 1T1) would be appreciated.

VELLENGA, Ann (nee Elgersma) -

On Sunday morning, July 27, 2014, at Shalom Manor, in her 83rd year, the LORD in His infinite mercy and wisdom took Ann unto Himself.

Ann had a spark for life in spite of her ups and downs and she shared her generosity and sense of humour with all.

She is predeceased by John Vellenga, her husband of 51 years.

Loving mother of Peter and Judith, Margaret and Leo DeVries, Patricia and Tim McGee, Joanne and Jetze Wiersma, Sonya and Bob Harbic, Gordon and Teresa, Andrew and Deana, David and Marlene. Dear grandma to 31 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Beloved sister of Andries and Akke Elgersma, Tineke (Piet) Halbersma, Aukje and Ludze Oenema of the Netherlands and (Steffen and Evelyn) Elgersma. Beloved sister-in-law of (Ted and Anke ) Vellenga, Anne and (Bill ) Spoelstra, Pete and Sylvia Vellenga, Elco and Clara Brouwer.

We welcome all to a Memorial Service on Wednesday, July 30th at 11 a.m. at Fruitland Christian Reformed Church, 805 Highway #8, Stoney Creek, followed by fellowship and refreshments. Preceding the Memorial Service there will be a private interment.

In lieu of flowers, donations to CNIB or The Raising the Roof Fund at Shalom Manor would be greatly appreciated.

D'OSTILIO, Luigi -

Peacefully at Juravinski Hospital, surrounded by his loving family, on July 26, 2014, in his 77th year.

Beloved husband of Elena (nee Fappiano) for 50 years.

Loving brother and brother-in-law of Domenic and Donna D'Ostilio, Piero and Josie D'Ostilio, Ida and the Luigi Di Nicola, the late Vincenzo and Maria Fappiano, the late Domenico and Battista Fappiano, the late Salvatore and Lidia Fappiano, the late Luigi and the late Maria Fappiano and the late Maria and Biagio Gueriano.

Sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Luigi was a retired employee of Stelco for 31 years.

Special thank you to the Oncology staff at Juravinski Hospital for all their care and compassion.

Funeral Mass will be offered at All Souls Church on Friday, August 1, 2014 at 10 a.m. Entombment to follow.

Debreczeni_Mary(January 15, 1939 – July 26, 2014)

With great sorrow we announce the passing of Mary Teresaz Debreczeni in her 76th year.  She peacefully left us at St. Joseph's Hospital while battling cancer on Saturday, July 26, 2014 at 12:35 a.m., and is now in the arms of her beloved husband Gabor Debreczeni up in heaven.

Beloved Mother to son Tomas Varsas and cherished Nagymama to grandchildren Melanie and Michael.

She will be sadly missed by her brothers, sisters, family and friends in Hungary. 

Those we love don't go away, they walk beside us every day.  Still loved, still missed and very dear. 

Arrangements out of Burlington. Cremation has taken place.  A graveside memorial service will be held at Hamilton Cemetery, Hamilton on Friday, August 1st at 1:00 p.m.

For those who wish, memorial donations to CTV at St. Joseph's Hospital would be appreciated.
