Fowler_MarilynPassed away Wednesday December 17th, 2014 in her 83rd year.

Born in Smith Falls, Ontario, predeceased by father and mother Harold and Gladys Weekes and sister Evelyn Baliko.

Beloved mother of Tom Worsley and Judy Worsley (John Dawson). She will be greatly missed by granddaughters Robyn (Jesse) and Laura Dawson.

Marilyn was overjoyed to welcome her great-granddaughter Ivy to our family last year.

Predeceased by partner Daniel Kislenko. Special "Ma" to Marie Clark and Ben Stewart and Ma to many. Marilyn will also be missed by her friends at Featherstone Point.

Marilyn worked proudly as a school bus driver for Attridge Transportation for 17 years and enjoyed her vacation spots at West and East Lakes, Scotland and Featherstone.

She always had cats in her life. Most recently, Amber, Tigger, Elfie and Lulu.

We wish to thank staff at The Carlisle Retirement Home, the CCAC staff and the many devoted PSWs who supported Marilyn in Featherstone and Burlington.

Cremation has taken place. Memorial Visitation will be Friday, December 19, 2014, 7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. at Marlatt Funeral Home, 615 Main Street East, Hamilton. Memorial Service will be Saturday, December 20, 2014, 3:00 p.m. in the Funeral Home Chapel.

Passed away peacefully at Hamilton General Hospital after a lengthy illness, on Wednesday, December 17, 2014, at the age of 59.

Loving husband of Carolyn. He will be sadly missed by his children Corey and Taylor.

Dear son-in-law of Ted and Mary Jean Hanbury. Beloved brother- in-law of Jane and Angelo, and Ted Jr. and Nancy. He will be fondly remembered by his nephews and nieces.

A private family service will be held.

Leo Francis Kirby, born on May 3, 1924, passed away peacefully at Extendicare St. Catharines.

Pre-deceased by his wife, Nettie, left to mourn "Uncle Bill" are Mabel Joliffe (Larry), Sandra Scott (David), Irene Neal, Dorothy Wagner, Brian Meldrum (Diane), as well as several nieces and nephews.

Born in Kaikoura, New Zealand, Leo served with the British-New Zealand Navy during World War II. After immigrating to Canada, he worked for Ball Packaging (American Can).

A funeral mass will be offered at St. Patrick's Roman Catholic Church, 440 King St. E., Hamilton on Saturday, December 20, 2014 at 10 a.m. Interment to follow.

Peacefully passed away at St. Joseph’s Villa, Dundas, after a long struggle with dementia, just 8 days away from his 86th birthday.

Beloved husband of Madeline (nee Piersante) for 58 years. Father of Anne Dunham (husband Craig) of Binbrook (currently in Copenhagen, Denmark), and Joseph (wife Antonietta) of Oakville Ontario. Dear Nonno of Andrew, Robert, Matthew, Isabella, Joseph and Michael.

Joe was a long-time grape grower in the Niagara region, and member of the Amateur Vintners Association where he won many awards for his excellent wines. He will be missed greatly by all.

Thank you to the excellent staff at St. Joseph’s Villa Dundas for their wonderful care.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Glanbrook Home Support Program, or St. Joseph’s Villa Foundation would be appreciated.

Loving mother to Jim (Pam), and Mike (Shana). Grandmother to Jennifer, Jim Jr., Jason, Dillon, Mike Jr., and Sarah. Great grandmother to Hailey, Kacey, Kyle, and Olivia.

Sister to April (Russ), niece to Audrey (from Buffalo), and best friend to Walt.

Carole will also be sadly missed by the Bevan family, as well as extended family and friends.

Predeceased by parents, Thelma and Bill Stokoe, brother Bill, sister Dianne (Ken), husband Jim, and grandson Riley.

Upon her retirement from Loblaws, Carole loved to travel and spend her summers at the trailer with Walt.

In lieu of flowers, a donation to the charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated. Cremation has taken place, and a celebration of Carole’s life will be held at a later date.

Chester is survived by his brothers Zigment, Vernon and Hartley. He is predeceased by his parents Randolph and Elitta, and his brothers Clifton and Stephen. Chester was an employee of 23 years for Chedoke Hospital.

Sylvia dearly loved her family and good friends, and cherished the times spent together to share good stories, good food and lots of laughter. Her strong faith was the foundation of who she was and was evident in all that she said and did.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff at Shalom Village for their gentle and compassionate care.

Beloved husband of Elizabeth (nee Gil) for 9 years. Loving father of Gisele and Sophia. Much loved son of Gerry and Susan Holyome.

Cherished son-in-law of Maria and the late Manuel Gil. Dear brother of Jason and Melanie (Craig) MacKay. Devoted brother-in-law of John (Leonilda) Gil. He will be fondly remembered by his many nieces and nephews and Rachel, Danielle, Damian and Pauline.

Dale was a long time employee at Cohoon Engineering.

He was an avid runner, fisherman and loved the outdoors. Most of all he was a dedicated family man and took great pride in his daughters whom he adored.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Pius X Roman Catholic Church, 9 Waverly Street, Brantford on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. Entombment to follow.

Loved father of Dave (Terry), Jeff (Lily), Scott (Jane) and Nancy Boeck (Harry). Cherished grandfather of Jill Savage, Jodi Williams, Brittany Kadwell, Erin Kadwell, the late Jennifer Kadwell (2012), Andrew and Joanna Kadwell and William, Katelin and Jacob Boeck and great-grandfather of six great-grandchildren.

Best friend of Shirley Pickard of Burlington. Dear brother of George Kadwell (Eleanor) of Gravenhurst and special uncle of Jenni Scott of Scotland.

Robert was an exemplary General Insurance Adjuster for over 45 years and ran his own Adjusting business in Hamilton and Grimsby for many years as well as in Antigua for 14 years.

He was a former owner of the Grimsby Peach Kings Hockey Club in the late 1960's and early 1970's, a longtime member of Twenty Valley Golf Club, life member of The Sertoma Foundation of Canada and member of the Grimsby Big Brothers.

Special thanks to the staff at Kilean Lodge for all of your care.

Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Robert's life will take place in the New Year. Arrangements out of Grimsby.

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the very sudden passing of Elizabeth on Monday, December 15, 2014 in her 90th year. 

She was predeceased by her husband Michael who served as a pilot in the Royal Air Force. 

Loving mother to Heddy Wright, to son Stan Kawnik and daughter-in-law Sophie Kawnik.  She had a special relationship with her eight grandchildren: Megan, Matthew, Melissa, Billy, Kristyn, David, Michael, and Tommy and her two great grandchildren: Benjamin and Cassandra.

Elizabeth was fortunate to survive the turmoil of WW11 in Europe.  At 13 years of age, she was a prisoner in a Russian work camp in Siberia then at 16 became a soldier in what is now Israel.  At 19 years of age she immigrated to England where she met and married her husband Michael.  They both served with the Allied Free Forces during WW11. 

Elizabeth was a kind soul with a heart of gold and will be dearly missed.

Ted was predeceased by his sister Marjorie Whelan.

Ted was a proud veteran of WWII where he served overseas with the R.C.A.F. He was also a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 24.

A memorial service will be held in St. Catharines, on Tuesday, December 23rd at 11:30 a.m. Interment to follow.

She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Philip John Clarke and her children Cynthia Clarke, David Clarke and Phyllis Crawford and her two grandsons Eric and Daniel Crawford, by whom she will be greatly missed.

Amelia’s family would like to thank the Juravinski Hospital Cancer Team in Hamilton as well as all of the nursing staff on 5 South at Joseph Brant Hospital in Burlington. Special thank you to the Palliative Nursing Team on 4 East at Joseph Brant for their compassion and care during her final days.

Passed away peacefully at St. Joseph's Hospital in Hamilton on December 14, 2014, in his 89th year.

Survived by his wife Shirley, brother Andy, and his four children Sally, David, Marcia and Ritchie. Predeceased by his mother and father Catherine and Horace Lodge, sister Barbara and stepdaughter Sharon.

Lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Kristy, Shawn, Jeremy, Christine, Tim, John, Joe, Peter and Samantha.

Memorial visitation will be held at CRESMOUNT FUNERAL HOME, 322 Fennell Avenue East, Hamilton on Friday, December 19th from 7 - 9 p.m.

His brave, stoic and witty personality will be sadly missed.

Lulic_IrenePeacefully passed away at West Lincoln Memorial Hospital, Grimsby on Sunday, December 14, 2014 at the age of 75.

Beloved wife and best friend of Ilija "Willy" for 46 wonderful years.

Irene will be dearly missed by her sisters-in-law Anne Matas (Drago), and Mary Aldona Setej (John). Loving aunt of Christopher (Natalie), Adam, and Michael.

She will always be lovingly remembered by her many god-children. Irene is also survived by her cousins Steve, Liz, Anne and their families.

Arrangements out of Stoney Creek. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Immaculate Heart of Mary Roman Catholic Church, 934 Highway #8, Winona on Thursday, December 18th at 11:00 am. Entombment.

Was called home to be with the Lord on December 14, 2014.

He will be missed by his wife and best friend Louanne McClemont and their children Tammy McClemont (Steven), Sandra Goodfellow (Stu), Jason McClemont (Becky) and Julie McClemont (Joseph); grandchildren Dylan, Chad, Garret, Skyler, Kirstin, Matthew and Casey.

Predeceased by his parents Robert and Irene McClemont and brothers Raymond (Gloria), Harold (Helen), Clayton, Graham, and sisters Gloria, Gertrude and Diane (Matt).

Gordon Served in the Navy (1942-1945) on the HMCS Timmins and retired from the City of Hamilton Traffic Department (1986).

A special thank you to all of his caregivers who provided love and support, Elizabeth (Bayshore), Tracey (Right at Home Canada), Mary (St. Elizabeth's) and Father Tony O'Dell (St. Patrick's Catholic Church).

Funeral Mass will take place at St. Patrick's Roman Catholic Church, 440 King Street East, Hamilton, Wednesday at 11 a.m. Cremation to follow.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the St. Patrick's Heritage Fund would be appreciated by the family.

Jim will be sadly missed by his wife Joan (nee McLaughlin) and children Pattie (Steve), Ron (Jennifer) and Doug (Melanie).

His Grandchildren Ryan, Nicole, Courtney, Laura, Ian, Andrew, James, Emily and Julia and Great Grandchild Gavin, as well as Brother Tommy, extended family and friends.

Funeral mass will be celebrated at Corpus Christi Catholic  Church, 1694 Upper James Street, Hamilton ON  Friday, December 19, 2014 at 11:30am. Cremation to follow.

Chappel_EvelynPeacefully at St. Joseph's Villa, Dundas, on Saturday, December 13, 2014, Evelyn passed away at the age of 95.

Reunited with her beloved husband Allan. Loving mother, mother-in-law and grandmother of Mark, Ellen and Connor.

Evelyn was a long-time member of both the Rock Chapel UCW and the Rock Chapel United Church Choir.

Special thanks to the amazing staff of "Cedar Grove" at the Villa, and Dr. Shankardass, for treating Mom with great dignity and compassion, as well as Dr. Cross and the staff of the Village Manor Retirement Home, Waterdown.

Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Evelyn's Life will be held at ROCK CHAPEL UNITED CHURCH, 451 Rock Chapel Road, Dundas on Thursday, December 18, 2014 at 11 a.m., with a reception to follow in the Church Hall. Private Family Interment will take place at a later date.

It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Francesco Curzi, surrounded by family, on Saturday, December 13, 2014 at Emmanuel House, in his 72nd year.

Loving father of Danny (Rae), Sarah, and Jaqueline.

He will be deeply missed by his love Mary Anne Bull and her children Ross (Cindy), Mark (Kelly), and Aron (Andrea), as well as Kay. Nonno to Abby.

Predeceased by his parents Alberto and Maria, and brothers Luciano and Silvano. Survived by his siblings Anna Pasqualini, Gino, Emilio, and Ivo. He will be fondly remembered by family, especially nieces Claudia and Christine, friends, neighbours, and co-workers.

Frank (The Dirt Doctor), was the proud owner of Euro Excavating, alongside his son, Danny.

Special thanks to the staff of C3 at The Juravinski, Emmanuel House, and homecare nurse Bonita Stewart, for their care and compassion shown to Frank.

A Funeral Service will take place on Thursday, December 18, 2014 in Hamilton. Burial will follow.
