For years, we have posted regional death notices as a free public service, while taking on the complete cost of publishing ourselves. We can no longer do so.

Without participating Funeral Centres, Cemeteries, Monument Suppliers and Local Businesses advertising with us, we can no longer run this website at a financial deficit.

We have received dozens of emails by folks upset at the discontinuation of our daily updates, and we apologize.  We also love this site, and considered it a great service to the public by accumulating and listing all Regional Obituaries in one spot.

Also, we appreciate the privacy to not contact the families of friends for funeral arrangements who may be shortly passing, as well as, friends not having to frequently check all local funeral centre websites for service information.

PATTERSON, Barbara Ann (nee Arnott) - Passed peacefully into the presence of her Heavenly Father on Wednesday, June 27, 2018, in her 91st year.

Barbara was married to her life-long sweetheart, Jack for 69 years. She was the caring mother to Mary Jane Lewis (Dave), John (Timea), Donna Zuidema (Andy), and Paul (Karen). She was loved and is already missed by 15 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.

Horibe KayHORIBE, Kayako 'Kay' - (1940 - 2018) - Peacefully at home on June 27, 2018, due to complications from stomach cancer.

Devoted wife to Ken. Loving mother to Joanne (Roger) and Alan (Fernanda). Cherished grandmother to Kaz and Serena. Beloved family member of the Mori, Horibe and Takeda families in Japan and Canada.

As an adventurous 20 year old from Japan, Kay came to Canada for a visit, met Ken and made Hamilton her home with him for the next 58 years.

After learning enough English by watching Sesame Street with her children, Kay began her teaching career in the 1970s. She taught half of Hamilton Mountain how to use their microwave ovens, "Oriental Cooking" and "Light and Healthy."

COLE, Ross - Passed away on Wednesday, June 27th, 2018 at the age of 79 at the Hamilton General Hospital, surrounded by the love of his family.

Predeceased by his mother Ennis Ross and son Cameron Cole.  He will be greatly missed by his granddaughter (Grandi) Crystal Cole “Ah You” Forever and Always.  Also missed by his children Tracy Cole, and Ross Cole.  Cherished Grandpa and Great Grandpa to Tracy Jr, Corey, Najwa, Carson, Jason Ross, Collin, Justin and Cole.

Beloved wife of her late husband John ‘Jack’ Hamilton. Loving mother of Judith Kuus (predeceased), Joan Hamilton, Irene (Jerry) Demaine, and Bill (Marlene) Hamilton. Proud Grandmother of Carole, Kelly, Bobby, Joe, Dan, James, Steven, Lyndsay, and Alyshia. Beloved Great-grandmother of 20 and Great-Great-Grandmother and Aunt of many more.

After a long and difficult struggle with Alzheimer’s disease, Bob passed away peacefully surrounded by his family, on Tuesday June 26, 2018.

This long goodbye began 15 years ago and though this was not his plan, he fought until the end. This devoted family man is leaving behind his wife Mary, who has been by his side throughout this entire journey, and his children Andrea (John-Paul) and Scott, who were the light of his life.

McVey JuneMcVEY, June - Peacefully passed away at the Hamilton General Hospital on Tuesday, June 26, 2018 in her 80th year.

Predeceased by her husband of 56 years, Tommy (2017).

Survived by her cousins Allan Dawson (Nora) and Billy Dawson.  She will be sadly missed by her many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews both in Canada and Scotland.

RODRIGUEZ, Jesus - Gone to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus passed away on Monday, June 25th, 2018, at the Brantford General Hospital, at the age of 72. 

Beloved husband of Maria Rodriguez for over 38 years.  Loving father of Karen (Julio) Rodriguez, Christina Rodriguez and Karla Rodriguez.  Cherished Papo of Hector, Camila, Vanessa, Claudia, Julio Jr. and Cecilia.  He will also be dearly missed by many other family members and friends.

GIBBON, Roger Cowan – November 21, 1941 – June 25, 2018

It is with great sadness that the family of Roger Cowan Gibbon announces his passing after a brief illness, on Monday, June 25th 2018, at the age of 76 years.

Roger died peacefully at Grand River Hospital in Kitchener with loved ones at his side. He will be forever missed by his daughter Samantha (Randall). Predeceased by his brother Raymond (Shirley) and his parents Lillian Frances (nee Smith) and Roland Gibbon, Roger leaves behind his younger brother Robert (Linda) Gibbon.

Predeceased by her husbands James Campagnola and Alec Skihar.

Survived by her loving sister Rita Kopacki, the last of 13 brothers and sisters.
