Suddenly on Friday, October 10, 2014, at the age of 26.

Micheal will be lovingly remembered by his mother Charlene Tweedle, his father Leonard "Lenny" Lalonde and his wife Donna, by his sister Amber and his girlfriend Portia, her daughter Meghan and their expected child, Liam, due in December.

Micheal's memory will be held in the memory of his grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and by his many friends.

Service willl be held on Monday, October 20th in Hamilton. Interment to follow.

Barb Soltesz beloved wife of the late Ron Soltesz for over 45 years. Loving mother to Richard (Renee), Kristine Nie (Don) and Conni Case (Jeff). Proud and loving grandma of Nicole, Brody, Bryer, Ryan, Rachel, and Amber.

Barb will be lovingly remembered by her brothers, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law and their families.

One often describes a person's passions in life and Barb was an amazing cook, filled her cupboards with canning from old family recipes and was a talented seamstress, all of which she thoroughly enjoyed.

But you only needed to witness her in the presence of her family to know that her true passion was her children, grandchildren, and husband. Sharing their lives, their accomplishments, their memories, supporting them during difficult moments and celebrating the many joyous occasions. Truly, a beautiful and lasting legacy to be treasured.

Friends are welcome to join the family in celebrating Barb's life with memorial visitation in Dunnville on Wednesday October 15th, followed by cremation.

Memorial donations to the Ontario Heart & Stroke Foundation or Canadian Diabetesc Association would be appreciated.

It is with great sadness that the family announces Bill’s sudden passing at St. Joseph’s Hospital on October 10, 2014.

He will be deeply missed by his beloved wife Carolyn of 52 years, his loving sons David and Steven, his adored grandchildren Amanda and Nathan, his brother Jack(Pam), and his sister Phyllis.

Predeceased by his sister Jean and brothers Ronald and Joseph.

Bill retired after 43 years in the corrugated box business with MBI and Morphy Containers.

Kathy, cherished wife of Bill, treasured mother of Max and Lance and dear sister of Janette Cummins and Arnold Westberg (Nancy).

Kathy will be sadly missed by her nieces and nephews Elizabeth, Eric, Patrick, Philip, Georgia, Rylan and by her family and friends, as well as the teachers and students at Ancaster High School, where Kathy taught Family Studies and Business.

The family wishes to invite family and personal friends to a celebration of Kathy’s life in Burlington on Saturday, October 18th.

Kathy’s wishes would be to donate to the Canadian Association of Disabled Skiers (CADS).

She will be lovingly missed by her brothers Guy (Ginny), Joel (Donna) and sister Lise Gagné.

Fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.

She was predeceased by her mother Orietta (June) and father Cyril Gagné and her companion of many years Brian Frasier.

Beloved God-daughter of Sister Hélène Dubeau of the Sisters of Providence in Montreal.

Michèle recently retired from Lakeland Retirement Home and will be missed by her many friends and co-workers.

A Memorial service will be held in Ancaster on Tuesday, October 14th.

Vlada is survived by his beloved wife Slavka of over 36 years. Cherished father to Mico and Neso, and father-in-law to Milena. Proud grandfather to Una.

Vlada is predeceased by his sister Nedeljka Slavkovic of Serbia. He will also be missed by many other family members and friends in both Canada and Serbia.

A Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, October 14th at 11 a.m. at St. Nicholas Serbian Orthodox Church (1401 Barton Street East) with the Very Reverend Father Vojislav Pavlovich officiating. Interment.

Survived by his wife Mari and children Paul (Donna), Anna (Algis), Peter (Angelina), Margaret (Kelly), Anthony (Kathleen) as well as nine grandchildren and two great-grand-children.

Survived by his sister Stasia. Predeceased by his parents Jurgis and Maria, brother Kazys, sisters Angele and Tera.

As per Peter's wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no funeral service. A Memorial Catholic Mass will be held at a later date.

Pre-deceased by his parents Howard and Marjorie Paget.

He will be greatly missed by cousins Julia and Lee Claus, extended family, many friends, co-workers and hockey teammates.

Bill was a dedicated employee of St. Joseph's Hospital for 31 years.

The family wishes to thank Dr. Wasi, Dr. Voruganti, doctors, nurses and staff of C4 for their care and compassion during this difficult journey.

Born November 2, 1939 in Slavonia, Croatia, passed away October 9, 2014 at St. Joseph's Hospital, in her 75th year.

Left to cherish her memory are, her beloved husband of 58 years, Stanko, her twin daughters Helen and Veronica (Stephen), grandchildren Julie (Trevor), Thomas, Stephanie, Adam and great-grand-daughters Norah and Scarlette. Fondly remembered by her brother Pavo, numerous cousins, nieces and nephews in Europe.

Predeceased by her parents Tereza and Adam Persic, her brothers Mirko, Franjo, Ivo and her sisters Ruza and Jela.

Eva fought a brave battle with cancer this last month but succumbed with her loving daughters by her side.

The family wishes to express its sincere gratitude for the loving care and compassion she received from the kind nurses, doctors and social worker at St. Joseph's Hospital.

Visitation at MARKEY-DERMODY FUNERAL HOME, 1774 King Street East (at Kenilworth), Hamilton on Friday from 2 - 4 p.m. and 7 - 9 p.m. with Vigil Prayers at 7:30 p.m.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Cross Croatian Church, 1883 King Street East, on Saturday, October 11th at 9 a.m. Interment.

Suddenly on October 9, 2014, Jonathan passed away.

He was the much beloved son of Bill and Jan Park. Loving father to Ashton Park who was the guiding light of Jon's life.

Jon will be dearly loved and missed by his sisters Naomi Park, Katrina, Kayla and Katarina Young. Also remembered by Janis Young. Fondly remembered by his best friend James and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Jon loved being a father to Ashton and cherished their times fishing together as well as participating in Ashton's camping, sporting activities and involvement in Scouting. He enjoyed cooking and playing the piano. Jon's favourite pasttime was to be surrounded by family and friends socializing.

Special thank you to C.A.M.H and Jon's counsellors at the DBT program through St. Joseph's for their care and understanding this past year.

Visitation will take place Friday, October 17th at Rock Chapel United Church from 7-9 p.m.

A celebration of Jon's life will follow on Saturday, October 18th at Rock Chapel Church at 12 p.m. Cremation and a private family interment has taken place.

If you so wish, donations in his name to C.A.M.H or Rock Chapel United Church would be appreciated by the family.

It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Ruth at the Hamilton General Hospital after a long illness, a week after her 95th birthday.

She is predeceased by her husbands Grand and Chris and her sisters Valerie Hodge and Bess French and her niece Ruth.

She will be missed by her daughter Shirley (Dan Bunce) and sons Doug and Bob (April). Always remembered by her grand-children Kim (Peter), Justine (Andy), Julie (Jamie), Sean (Meagan), Paul (Yaz) and Tom (Julia) and great-grandchildren Sarah, Evan, Matthew, Abigail and Calum and many nieces and nephews.

Ruth was a retried legal secretary.

Before she turned 90, she was a very active senior enjoying good health and was a member of the Women's Institute, the Ottawa Street "Y", and the Winona Seniors.

Cremation has taken place. Family and friends will gather at the home of Bob and April on Saturday, October 25 from 1 - 5 p.m. for a day of funny memories and stories.

Remembrances to the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.

After more than a decade of caring, supporting, advocating and battling cancer and Alzheimer's, on behalf of Walter, her husband and confidant of more than fifty years, Veronica "Nikki" Samek was diagnosed with her own cancer in January and as swiftly as she went to battle, the disease was one step ahead, ultimately taking her life on October 9, 2014.

Veronica, known to her friends and family as "Nikki" was born September 30, 1937, daughter of Vera and Joseph Elliott, sister to Cecil, Judy, Betsy, Molly, and Clark. S

urvived by her children, Mark, Jeff (Sonja), Phil (Louise) and Jane (Danny) along with grandchildren Emily and Jordan, Andrew, Laine and Dion, Adam and Sophie.

Nikki was an avid reader - mysteries, romance, current affairs, she was a lover of the performing arts, especially the Opera, and enjoyed quiet times knitting and reflecting on days gone by. She always enjoyed family times, picnics and holiday dinners, where laughter was always on the menu.

Nikki always had a flair for fashion and a gift for design as was evident in her loving home. She was prepared for any occasion and beautifully dressed for any event.

A celebration of Nikki's life will take place on Tuesday, October 14, 2014 in Dundas.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Emmanuel House or the Canadian Cancer Society.

Sheehan_NoraAfter years of battling COPD, our mother passed peacefully and is finally free to take a deep breath.

Predeceased by her friend and husband Eddie. Left to share in her memories of amazing strength are her children David (Colleen), Paula, Al (Ann Marie), Joe, Ray and Brian.

Nora adored her time with her grandchildren Stephanie, Leigh (Echo), Sarah, Michelle, Melissa and Qwade.

Nora will be sorely missed by her sisters Dolly (Billy), Margie (Joe), Eydie (Romeo), and Ines (Jim). She is predeceased by brother Donny and sisters Velma and Helen.

A special thanks to everyone at Ridgeview Long Term Care Centre for their care and compassion.

Cremation has taken place. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Incarnation of Our Blessed Lord Roman Catholic Church (Corner of Barton and Nash Rd.), Hamilton on Wednesday, October 15 at 9 a.m.

Southern_JoanBeloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother passed peacefully at the St. Joseph's Lifecare Centre after a decade long battle with Parkinson's.

She is survived by her loving husband of 67 years, Herbert, daughters Alwyn Burridge and Kathy Smith (Bruce,) grandchildren Melyssa (& Jeff), Hillary (& Dale), Jessica (& Duke), Braeden (& Amy), and Rhianon, precious great grandchildren Ethan, Emma, Leah and Laura and dear friend Hubert. She was lovingly known as Nana by the whole family.

Joan was a seamstress without equal and shared her creativity and talents in crafts not only with her family, but also with the children of the Paris YM-YWCA.  She was a tireless worker for the Family Living Group creating special activities and devices for the participants. She and Herbert were lifelong members of Chi-Rho. She will be fondly remembered for the holiday traditions she created that will be carried on in her memory.

A special warm thank you to the compassionate caregivers, support staff and Dr. Allen at St. Joseph's Lifecare Centre.

Memorial visitation will be held in Brantford on Saturday, October 10th.  A private family service and celebration of life will be held Sunday.

We love you Nana and know that in heaven, you will regain the mobility and dexterity so long denied you on earth by the Parkinson's. 

Joan believed small acts lead to big changes in the world.  In accordance with her giving nature, family and friends are encouraged to perform daily acts of kindness in her memory.
