Beloved husband of 53 years to Norma (Rosati) Gagliardi. Dearly loved father of Gabriel (Cathy) Gagliardi, Joanna (Paul) Thibert, Lisa (Victor) Marcon, Joe (Tia) Gagliardi and Peter (Ellen) Gagliardi.

Cherished Grandpa of Patrick, Gregory, Kayla, Amanda and Olivia. Dear brother-in-law of Nick Felicetti and Catharine (Vincent) Bernardi. Predeceased by his sister Nella Felicetti.

Mr. Gagliardi had worked for Canada Coach and then at Hamilton Street Railway (HSR), retiring after many years of service. He was also a longtime parishioner of St. Patrick's Church and an avid gardener who especially enjoyed his fig trees. He enjoyed all sports and was a very passionate fan of the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Arrangements out of Niagara Falls.  Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. at St. Patrick's Church. The Rite of Committal will follow.

In memory of Mr. Gagliardi, donations to St. Patrick's Church or Hospice Niagara would be appreciated by his family.

It is with sadness that we acknowledge the passing of Catherine at the Juravinski Hospital on June 29, 2014, following a protracted period of general health failure.

She was the proud mother of John (Judith), grandmother of Julia (Ian Emberton) and Christopher, and great-grandmother of Aoife, Arann, Opal and Beckett.

Predeceased by her parents, Dorothy Spicer (Fitzgerald) and Usher Spicer as well as her siblings, John (WWII, Patricia's Rifles), Marie Whitehouse, Robert Spicer and Monica Hawe.

Cay was a hard-working single mother, office manager for Grisenthwaite Construction and other companies, an avid and effective bowler, and a member of the Canadian Legion. She was involved with the Canadian Veterans' Association and was a long-time member of the Sacred Heart Church congregation.

She loved to travel, particularly to Holten, Holland, and to visit with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren in Ireland and B.C. She lived life her way, was determined yet compassionate, with a deft sense of humour, a keen memory and knowledge of Hamilton that she enjoyed sharing with friends.

Many thanks for the very kind care given by the staff on M2 at Juravinski.

Funeral mass will be at the Sacred Heart Church in Hamilton, 17 Viewpoint Avenue, at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, July 14th, with visitation in the church at 12:30 p.m.

Fondly remembered by sons David and Paul Wolanski and their father Steven and daughter-in-law Kim Wolanski. Loving grandmother to Lindsay and Sydney Wolanski.

Predeceased by her parents Charles and Jean Edwards and sister, Betty Book. Cherished aunt to Debbie, Cindy and Philip and their children and cousins Donna Gill, Harold Beaumont, Janet Landry and other cousins.

Muriel was a Registered Nurse who continued to act as a caregiver after her retirement in 2002. Family and friends were exceptionally proud that Muriel received her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from McMaster University in June 2013.

Muriel will be sadly missed by her close community of friends, notably Phyllis, Doreen, Heather, Carole, Audrey, Joanne, Joyce, Leanne and Dallas and by many others both within the Mount Hamilton Baptist Church and those touched by her boundless enthusiasm in other volunteer efforts.

Muriel lived life to the fullest and left the world a much better place. God welcomes a spunky, effervescent angel into his midst.

Visitation will take place at   CRESMOUNT FUNERAL HOME  , 322 Fennell Avenue East, Hamilton on Thursday from 3 - 5 and 7 - 9 p.m.

A celebration of life will take place at Mount Hamilton Baptist Church, 626 Upper Wentworth Street on Friday at 1:00 p.m. Interment will occur at a later date.

As Muriel participated in international missions work in Central America and Africa, which were so dear to her heart, we ask that donations be made to the Mount Hamilton Baptist Church to support local and international missions, in lieu of flowers.

She is survived by her beloved husband John. Loving mother to Jennifer and Sarah (Aaron), cherished daughter to Helen and Nick Matecsa(1999) and sister to Bettianne.

Throughout her illness, Rosemary's strong spirit was demonstrated by her determination and optimism; constantly defying the odds until coming to rest with her family, at home.

Rosemary's passion for her family, home and garden and her love for her pets, as well as being Black Tom's groom at the shows, will live on in her family's memory forever.

The family will always be grateful for the care and compassion of the doctors at the Juravinski Cancer Centre, and the wonderful nurses and caregivers from CCAC, The Outreach Program, Bayshore and Aberdeen, who made it possible for us to keep and care for Rosemary at our home, as she wished.

The generous acts of kindness from neighbours and close friends, our family will always be thankful for.

To honour Rosemary's request, there will be no formal service. Cremation has taken place.

An informal gathering will be held at the "THORPE BROTHERS' FUNERAL HOME - CARRIAGE HOUSE", 96 West Street, Brantford on Friday July, 4th from 1 - 3 p.m.

Barbara enjoyed her many cat companions through the years, she also enjoyed reading about the history of Hamilton and writing poetry. She was a past employee and involved with the Canadian Hearing Society.

Cremation has taken place. A memorial Service will be held at the MARLATT FUNERAL HOME, 615 Main Street East, Hamilton (east of Sanford Avenue) on Friday, July 4th at 11 a.m.

After a nine month struggle with many health issues, Evelyn entered the presence of her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ on Friday, June 27, 2014, one day after her 88th birthday.

She is once again reunited with her beloved husband Murray (2006).

She will be dearly missed by her children Judie Birnie (Bob), Paul Black (Cheryl), Heather Thornton (Bill). She is loved by seven grand-children and their spouses, Rob Birnie (Laura), Kevin Birnie (Amanda), Ashley Danner (Matthew), Katie Robinson (Dan), Brooke Anderson (Justin), Lauren and Alyssa Thornton. She was a special "Gigi" to seven great-grandchildren: Tyler, Kara, Elias, Timothy, Colby, Landon and Alexis.

She will also be missed by her sisters-in-law Muriel Black, Evelyn Black and Vera Crocker, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Evelyn graduated from St. Joseph's School of Nursing in 1951 and spent many years working on the Pediatric ward at St. Joe's. She spent the last seven years as a resident at the Courts of Rushdale Retirement Living apartments where she made many friends. She was presently a member at West Highland Baptist Church.

The family wishes to express their deep appreciation to the doctors and nursing staff at St. Joseph's hospital for their loving care these past few weeks with special thanks to Dr. Woods and the members of the Palliative Care Team.

A private interment service will take place on Monday, June 30th at White Chapel Memorial Gardens followed by a Service of Love and Remembrance at 1:30 p.m. at Flamborough Baptist Church, 41 Concession 5 E, Waterdown, ON L0R 2H1.

Peter Graydon Lush, real estate icon, visionary and proud owner and developer of Cedar Run Horse Park has died at home in Thornbury, Ontario at age 81 from cancer.

Survived by his wife Flora (nee Wakefield), and his children Valerie (Bill) and John (Mani), stepchildren Kim (Dave) and Sarah (Darren), dear brother Barry Lush, and predeceased by his sister Barbara Buzza (Lush); also, a proud grandfather of Maris, Eliot, Eve, Matthew, Emerson, Ella, Ryan and Jack.

Born and raised in Burlington, Ontario, Peter spent his early career building a company in his hometown, the Lush Corporation which, in the early 1990s, included over 40 associated companies focused on real estate sales and commercial development with regional offices in Ontario and Germany.

He has been recognized for building the Sunlife Commercial Complex, Upper Canada Place and the first major hotel (Holiday Inn) in Burlington, ON.

Past positions include: President of the International Real Estate Federation, President of the Hamilton Real Estate Board, Vice President of the Ontario Real Estate Association and Chairman of the Hamilton Harbour Commission. Committed to community development, he also served as Treasurer to the PC Canada Fund, Chairman of the Ontario Mental Health Foundation, and raised the funds needed to construct the first YMCA in Burlington, ON.

Past owner and proud member of The Georgian Peaks Ski Club and former treasurer of the America’s Cup Challenge True North, Peter embraced his adventurous and active spirit by sailing throughout the Caribbean and the Mediterranean and skiing in Ontario and Europe.

He was a member of Equine Canada and loved riding his horses and working on his farm in Thornbury, ON.
