Passed away peacefully on February 14, 2015, at the Jurvinski Hospital at the age of 69.

Stephanie was the loving and devoted wife of Derek, dear mother of Paul and his wife Kim and the proud “Nana” of Chelsea, Jack and their dog Hank.

She is survived by her mother Gwen and predeceased by her father Bill Pemberton.

Stephanie will be missed by her brother Steven and his wife Sandra Pemberton as well as her extended family and many friends.

Memorial visitation in Acton on Wednesday, February 18th. There will be a private family service followed by interment.

 Remembrances to Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.

Passed away peacefully, with family by her side on Friday, February 13th, 2015, at Bridgepoint Active Healthcare, Toronto, in her 56th year.

Beloved wife of Jay for 30 years. Cherished mother to Paul and Aaron.

Predeceased by parents Vaso and Maria Trifunovic. Angela is survived by her brothers Phillip, George, Milos, Peter Trifunovic and their families. Sister-in law to Kim Walford (Doug). She will be missed by many aunts, uncles, and cousins worldwide.

Angela enjoyed travelling with her family throughout her life, creating many cherished and lasting memories for them.

Arrangements out of Stoney Creek. A Funeral Service will take place at St. Nicholas Serbian Orthodox Cathedral (149 Nash Road S., Hamilton) on Wednesday, February 18th at 11 a.m., with The Very Reverend Father Djuro Samac officiating. Interment in Burlington.

Visitation will be held at St. George Reformed Episcopal Church (134 Emerson St., Hamilton, ON L8S 2X8 – 905-540-1240) on Thursday, February 19th from 11:30 am- 1:30 pm, with a Funeral Service following at the Church at 1:30 pm.

Predeceased by her parents Harry and Mary Russell,… and her eight siblings.

Gert was the secretary at St. Ann’s Elementary (Hamilton) for 28 years and a lifetime member of the CWL and Legion of Mary at St. Ann’s.

Gaik_Leonard(October 9, 1928 - February 13, 2015) - It is with profound sadness that the family announces the courageous passing of a dedicated and selfless father, grandfather and friend.

Leonard is predeceased by Mary, his loving wife of 52 years, and his sister Christine Skarzynski and parents Gladys and Victor.

He will be greatly missed by children Dr. Natalie Gaik (Kevin Eggleton), Dr. Pamela Gaik, and Leonard Gaik Jr. Leonard was a cherished and loving grandfather to Serena and Elida, who will miss his caring presence and the obvious joy he took in their every endeavour, large and small.

He will also be sadly missed by the Streker family and a number of special friends: Julia, Dr. Polgar, Uncle Bill, Alan, Catherine, Joe and Marg.

In over 53 years as an actively practicing Dentist in the city of Hamilton, Leonard skillfully, conscientiously and proudly cared for countless loyal patients, many of whom were multi-generational families.

Arrangements out of Hamilton. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Ann's Catholic Church, 11 Wilson Street West, Ancaster on Tuesday, February 24th at 1:30 pm.

February 13, 2015, beloved wife for 62 years of Sam V. Nablo, of Acton/Lexington/Centerville, MA.

She was the devoted mother of the Rev. Dr. Helen L. Nablo and her husband Mike Dunfee of Hingham, MA, Carl V. Nablo of Scottsdale, Arizona, and Wayne E. Nablo and his wife Mary of Scarborough, ME. She is survived by four grandchildren, Ben Mackall of Bozeman, Montana and Amy Ruth Nablo of Hingham, and Kyle and Samantha Nablo of Scarborough, ME.

Ruth received her nurse's training at St. Joseph's Hospital in Hamilton, Ontario and served for several years as a visiting nurse in the Victorian Order (VON).

After moving to Boston her great interest was in the success of her family and complex politics of the U.S. She was most active in the League of Women Voters and served as president of the Lexington, MA chapter. She served as an elected Town Meeting member and as an elected member of the Lexington Housing Authority. She has been a longtime member of Hancock United Church of Christ (Congregational) in Lexington. A memorial service will be held there on February 27th at 2 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Ruth's memory may be made to Hancock Church or the Audubon Society.

It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that the family announces the passing of John after a courageous year battling cancer in his 61st year.

Soulmate, best friend and husband of Melody Rakoczy (Sharples) for 32 years. Cherished father, friend and mentor of daughter Melissa Rakoczy Smith and husband Derek Smith, son Darin Rakoczy and his fiancée Michelle Chabot. Proud Papa and apple of his eye, Austin Cameron Smith. John will also be sadly missed by his mother Irene Rakoczy and the late Walter Rakoczy.

Loving brother to Irene (Brian) Clark, Daniela (Rick) Burgess, Wanda (Tom) Hamill, Wally (Rose) Rakoczy and Theresa Lewlandowski. Fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, extended family and many friends.

John had just celebrated 40 years of service with ArcelorMittal Dofasco. His passion for living his life to its fullest showed in his taste for cars, bikes, traveling, his home, golfing and most of all spending time with his family. John will be remembered for his sense of humour, laughter, being the life of the party and of course the first to lend a hand no matter how hard or difficult the task.

Many special thanks to family, friends, neighbours and co-workers who spent the time to give John a helping hand, a phone call, a visit, lunch, a trip, or just a car ride to get out of the house, a coffee and of course Starbucks. You know who you are. A special thanks to Dr. R. DiGregorio, the Juravinski Cancer Clinic doctors, nurses on Ward 3C and volunteers for their effortless work to give John life!

A Celebration of John's life will take place in Hamilton on Monday, February 16th. Cremation has taken place.

Donations to the Juravinski Cancer Centre or the Lung Association would be greatly appreciated by the family.

After years of wonderful experiences among family and friends, it is with sadness, yet gratitude for his full and interesting life, we announce the passing of Dad.

Predeceased by our Mother, his cherished wife, Kathleen B.A. (Carey) 2001. Loving father of Debbie Withers (Ken) of Minesing and Wendy Kam (David) of Hamilton.

Predeceased by his dear younger brothers, Hugh (2002) and Gordon (1980).

Lovingly remembered, respected and admired by grandchildren Jacklyn, Scott, Ali, Tyler and Chadd.

Also survived by sisters-in-law Marion Scott of Kitchener, Pat Scott of Burlington, brother-in-law John (Margaret) Carey, Port Robinson. Many nieces and nephews will hold fond memories and have quiet chuckles of occasions spent with Uncle Chuck.

He was former Traffic Manager of the Canada Coach Lines Limited and the Grayline Sightseeing of Niagara Falls and many years with the Hamilton Street Railway Management team, retiring in 1981 after 45 years of service. He was Past President and Life Member of the Ontario Motor Coach Association and member of the OMCA Hall of Fame. Former Director and Life Member of the Motor Coach Association and served on several National and International Motor Coach committees.

Dad was a 4 year Army Veteran of WWII, serving in Canada, England and Holland.

He always enjoyed a Single Malt scotch and good conversation with family and friends. Winters were spent in Port Charlotte and then up North for the happy times at the family cottage at Carey Point on Halls Lake.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, those wishing to honour dad's memory a donation to the Dundas Salvation Army or the Hamilton SPCA will help those in need.

Leo "Lee" Joseph Lee passed away on Thursday February 12, 2015 at the Carpenter Hospice. The Aurini family is mourning the loss of Leo "Lee", a man with a wonderful sense of humour and an infectious smile, at the age of 77 years.

He is survived by Barbara (Harwood), his wife of 59 years. Loving father of Lynda (Rick) Saunders, Edmonton; Michael (Wanda), Houston; Lori (Maurice) O'Gorman, Los Angeles; Mark (Philomena), Halifax and Chris (Julia), Port Credit.

Dear grandfather of Kendall, Mitchell, Davis, Teryn, Tristan, Talis, Wanda, Nicholas, Trevor, Jessica, Charlotte, Joseph, Margaret and Claire, and great grandfather of Kayal, Oliver, Mary Jane, Amelia and Wesley.

Lee was predeceased by his sister, Barbara, and is survived by his brother Terry and his brother and sister-in-law, William and Muriel Harwood.

Lee obtained his BA from McMaster University and MScEd from Niagara University, Lewiston, N.Y. He continued his association with McMaster University through his service as President of the Alumni Association for three terms and as a member of the McMaster University Senate for two years.

Lee had a long career in Education from his first teaching post at Southmount S.S., his activities with the Hamilton Board of Education and the Ontario Ministry of Education through to his retirement as Principal of Sir John A. Macdonald S.S. in Hamilton. Retirement did not last long as Lee soon found a position as Assistant Dean at the Faculty of Education in the Sultanate of Oman. He returned to Canada to work with a Private International College as Principal, recruiting students from all over Asia.

An adventurous spirit led to a position with the CIDA and a two-year posting to Cornwall College in Montego Bay, Jamaica with Barbara and their five children. His love of travel continued throughout his many years as a tour escort with Horizon Holidays and Fiesta Holidays.

Sports were an integral part of Lee's life from his football playing days at Delta S.S. through to coaching at the high school level in Hamilton and with Burlington Minor Football. In Jamaica, he was a member of the Montego Bay Rugby Club and Montego Bay Racquet Club. After hanging up his cleats, he enjoyed training for and completing the Hamilton Marathon. In retirement, he volunteered as a spinning instructor at the Burlington YMCA.

Many thanks to Father Ed, Elizabeth Dougherty and the staff at Carpenter Hospice for their kindness and care. A special thanks to Heinrich, Kelly and Williams families, the Southmount Poker Group and the "Coffee Guys," as well as friends, colleagues and neighbours for all their love and support.

If desired, donations to Carpenter Hospice, or Salvation Army would be appreciated by the family. Cremation has taken place. Lee's ashes will be interred in Burlington on Monday, April 6th, followed by a Celebration of Lee's life.

Jennie was a retired employee of Westinghouse, a member of the original ladies softball team and a longtime fan of the Hamilton Tiger Cats.

Arrangements out of Hamilton. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Stanislaus Roman Catholic Polish Church on Saturday at 9 am, followed by entombment.
