It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Alan Parke, on Wednesday, May 20th, 2015 at home surrounded by his loving family.

Alan will be dearly missed by his cherished wife Mary (nee Shields), and his beloved children John, Amy, and Brett. Alan is survived by his two sisters Debbie Egglestone (Robert) and Roslyn Ulman (David), as well as many nieces and nephews.

Alan is predeceased by his parents Charles Ross Parke and Norma Parke (nee Nye) , his brother John, and sister Lorraine Hornibrook.

Alan was a longtime devoted worker of Arcelor Mittal for almost 40 years. Outside of work A.J was an avid golfer and will be missed by his golfing buddies.

Woodcock_SarahPromoted to glory, after a brief illness, on Wednesday, May 20, 2015, at the St. Joseph’s Lifecare Centre in Brantford Ontario. Louise was 83 years old.

Loving mother of Bill (Deanna) of Sarnia, Barb (Dave) Bremner of Peterborough, Diane (Mike) Ballok of Brantford, Dave (Susan) of Winnipeg. Proud, cherished grandmother of Stephen (Lili) of Lima, Peru, Michael of Ottawa, Stefanie (Kevin) of Cambridge, Erika (Kyle) of Brantford and Angie (Mike) of Calgary and 3 great grandchildren; Spencer, Paige and Jemina.

Predeceased by her husband William in 1987.

Louise was born on March 4, 1932 in Norwich, Ontario to parents James Lyon Body and Ethel Moores Body. She was one of 10 children and is survived by brothers; Howard, Lance, Lowell, Gilbert and Tim and one sister Kathleen.

She attended Grace Anglican Church for 50 years and served as president of the Anglican Church Women for several of these years. She always had several beautifully knitted baby sweaters and hats for sale at the ACW booth at their annual bazaar every November.

Family and friends will be received at the DENNIS TOLL FUNERAL HOME, 55 Charing Cross Street, Brantford, ON on Sunday, May 24, 2015 from 2-4 p.m. & 7-9 p.m.

Visitation will continue on Monday, May 25, 2015 from 1-2 p.m. at Grace Anglican Church, 4 Pearl Street, Brantford. A funeral service will follow at 2 p.m., officiated by the Rev. Canon Janet Griffith. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Louise’s life. Interment.

The family would like to thank Brierwood Gardens Retirement Home, where she lived for 3 years and St Joseph Life Care, for the last 2 years, for their wonderful care. Mom was truly happy there.

If desired, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated.

On May 19, 2015, James passed away peacefully surrounded by family.

Beloved husband of Joan. Loving father of Gerie (Mike) Simpson, Jodi (Bill) Richardson, Tara (Mark) Moodie, Tonya (Ken) Cameron, Andrea (Alston) Carey, Shawna (Allan) Johnson. He will be greatly missed by his sixteen grandchildren and one ding-bat (Jai) and one great-grandchild.

Predeceased by his father Norman. Survived by his mother Irene and his sisters Pam and Trish.

James was a proud fire-fighter of 30 years with Hamilton Fire Department. Following his service with Hamilton Fire Department, James enjoyed being a school bus driver for fifteen years.

James was a proud member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (Mormon) holding many callings within the church.

Visitation will be held at Bay Gardens Funeral Home - William "J" Markey Chapel, 947 Rymal Road E., HAMILTON, ON (905.574.0405) on Friday, May 22, 2015 from 3 p.m. - 7 p.m.

The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, May 23, 2015 at 10 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (Mormon) - 345 Highway #8, Hamilton. Burial will follow.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Hamilton Fire Fighter Benevolent Fund or the Hamilton Burn Unit would be appreciated by the family.

Born in Hamilton, on August 24, 1932, son of the late Walter and Violet Atkin.

Much loved brother of Bud (deceased) and his wife Brenda of Niagara Falls, Howard (Irene, deceased) and Ruth Mutton (Russ, deceased) of Hamilton. Also left to mourn are many nieces, nephews, and their families.

Don struggled all his life, but is now at peace.

Many sincere thanks to the dedicated people that helped Don live his life to the fullest extent possible. This includes Community Living Hamilton, ARC Industries where Don worked for many years, and the countless workers that helped him to learn to live on his own and to take the bus to his lifetime passion of bowling. Special thanks to all the dedicated workers at Extendicare (Chedmac), who were patient and kind always.

Don was also a talented painter, avid fisherman, and a master at jigsaw puzzles.

A special thank you to his niece Linda Cochrane for her years of faithful visits that brightened his days.

A Funeral Service will be held at the MARLATT FUNERAL HOME, "Swackhamer Chapel", 195 King Street West, Dundas, ON on Friday, May 22nd at 1 p.m. with visitation one hour prior. Interment to follow.

Harber_DonaldWith profound sadness and endless love, the family of Donald James Harber announce his passing at St. Peter’s Hospital on May 19, 2015 at the age of 67.

Loving father and father-in-law to Carla and George Arsenault, Nikie and Randy Heinbecker. Loving grandpa to George, Jacob, Erin and Owen.

Lovingly survived by his mother Alberta Harber and her sister Nell Jones.

He was predeceased by the love of his life and best friend for 41 years Yvonne in 2010, grandson William (2003), father Ernie Harber (1993) and sister Joyce Smith (2004). 

Forever remembered by his longtime friends Bill and Doreen and all his family in B.C, N.B and Florida.

Don was a mentor, inspiration and voice of reason during his work and family life. He was employed at Sears, Firestone until it closed and then spent his last 23 working years at Hotz Environmental until he retired in 2013.

Next to his family his second love was being at the cottage and woodworking. He never sat still and his mind was always thinking of what to build next and what beautiful things he did build and has left for us to cherish along with all our wonderful memories.

A celebration of Don’s Life will be held at Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek, ON on Thursday, May 21, 2015 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, May 22, 2015 at 1 p.m. Cremation to follow.

Brother to Jack, the late Suzanne Toth, Barry and David (Maura). Also missed by his brother-in-law Paul Toth. Proud grandfather, great grandfather and uncle to many nieces and nephews.

He worked for many years for Saltfleet Movers in Stoney Creek, Coles Movers in Welland, truck driver for Tallman Transports and lastly retired as a foreman at Welland Tubes.

The family will receive relatives and friends at the WELLAND FUNERAL HOME, 827 East Main Street, Welland, Ontario on Thursday, May 21st from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, 90 Griffith St., Welland  Friday, May 22nd at 9:30 a.m.   Cremation will follow.

The family is saddened to announce the sudden passing of Rick on May 18, 2015 surrounded by his loving family and friends in his 64th year at the Juravinski Hospital.

Beloved husband and best friend of Susan (nee Forli) for 32 years. Cherished father of Stephen (Beckie) Millen and Kelly (Jeff) Lunn. Proud Grandpa of Cameron, Will, Maddi, Marley, and Ryann.

Predeceased by his parents Gordon and Audrey Millen and his sister Penny.

Dearest brother of Lynn (Murray- fishing buddy) Beale, Laurie (Dave) Whitworth, and Sherry (the late Raymond) Lagace. Much loved brother-in-law of Lorraine and Richard Barone. He will be missed by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Rick will also be missed by his furry friends Tanner, Sera, Eko and Jaz.

Best friend to Joe and Karen Quaranta and Margaret Campbell.

Special thanks to Dr. A. Benger and nurse Wendy at the Juravinski Cancer Center for their many years of care and support and to Dr. Michael Pray and Dr. Aldina Matos for their compassion and guidance throughout this difficult journey. Thank you to the physicians and staff at the CICU/ ICU at the Juravinski Hospital for their tireless effort and exceptional care, you will never be forgotten.

Rick retired from Stelco after many years as a millwright. He continued to work on 'his terms' with Kris at Staff Aid, most recently at National Steel Car. Rick enjoyed reading, traveling, fishing, hunting and spending time with family and friends.

Utah was dearly loved by her children; Garth, Greg, Terry, Larry, Anna, and Cheryl, and by their late father Larry Norris (1995).  She will be fondly remembered by her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
