Kusch_WilliamPeacefully surrounded by the love of his family, at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Hamilton, on Monday August 31st 2015 at the age of 65.  William Richard Kusch, loving father of Tara (Brandon), Lindsay, and Cassandra. Treasured grandfather of Regan, Hunter, Addison, and Claire.

Dear brother of Hazel (Jim) Whyte, Sherry Kusch, Helen Kusch, Keith (Donna) Kusch, and Morgan (Diane) Kusch, and predeceased by his sisters Cathy Counsel and Vivian Kusch. Also lovingly missed by several nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family members.

Bill was employed at France Compressor Products in Brantford for 31 years, and most recently Coorstek in Paris for 15 years. He was a long-time member of the Canadian Legion, and an avid sportsman.

He was active in both playing and refereeing hockey in Brantford for 35+ years, he also played baseball for several years and enjoyed many days spent out on the golf course.

Family and friends will be received at McCLEISTER FUNERAL HOME, 495 Park Rd. N., Brantford, ON on Friday September 4th 2015 from 1:00 – 3:00 & 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Cremation to follow.

A celebration of Kuschy’s life will be held at the Paris Legion Branch #29, 70 William St, Paris on Saturday September 19th at 2:00 p.m.

Dearly loved wife and best friend for 40 years of the late Ken Orde (June, 1995).

Wonderful mother of Susan Colacitti and her husband Carmine of Toronto, David and his wife Mirka of Dundas. Sweet nana of Michael, Marissa and Sarah Colacitti, and Marina and Matilda Orde. Sister of the late Richard P. Greenhalgh (late Jean) of Surrey, England.

Mary was a journalist and editor in the United Kingdom and in the Burlington area for many years, working for the Burlington Gazette, the Burlington Post, and the Hamilton Spectator.

She was an active member in the Burlington community as a member and chair for Halton Helping Hands, a board member for Carey House, and was involved with the Friends of Bronte Creek program at Bronte Creek Provincial Park. Mary was also a board member of Joseph Brant Hospital. Mary helped to create and organize the annual Christmas shopping day at Burlington Mall for people with disabilities, which has been in place now for over 40 years. In 1998 she was named Burlington’s senior of the year.

The family wishes to thank the staff at Sunrise, and the nurses, doctors, and staff of Joseph Brant Hospital for the excellent care that Mary received.

Visitation at SMITH’S FUNERAL HOME, 485 Brant Street, BURLINGTON, Ontario on Friday, September 4th from 3-5pm and 7-9pm.

A Service of Remembrance will be held on Saturday, September 5th at St. Elizabeth’s Anglican Church (5324 Bromley Road, Burlington) at 11am. Cremation has taken place.

After a courageous battle, Nancy passed away peacefully, at the age of 90. Reunited with her dear husband, Roy.

Will be lovingly remembered by her dear sons, Brad and Gary. Beloved Nana to Jeff and Kimberly, and Great-Nana to Faith.

Nancy was a loving "Mom-P" to Sandra. Survived by her loving sister, Margaret. She will be forever remembered by many nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.

On Monday, August 31, 2015, Harvey passed away at Hamilton General Hospital at the age of 57.

He is survived by sisters Marilyn Wright (Bob) and Barb Hill, and by brothers Joe and Tracey. He also is survived by 7 nieces and 1 nephew and their families.

Harvey will be sadly missed by his cats Winnie and Ginnie.

Predeceased by his parents Edward and Dorothy (Montour) Rooke and nephew Brad Wilson.

Visitation for Harvey will be held at the L.G. Wallace Funeral Home, 151 Ottawa St. N., Hamilton, ON on Thursday, September 3rd from 1 - 3 p.m., followed by a Memorial Service. Cremation to follow.

Born in Dundas, Ontario in 1926, Jim was a descendant of Isaac Orser, U.E.L. Devoted husband of Dorothy. Father of Philip (Brenda) and Paul (Louise) of Grimsby and Roy (Lisa) of Dryden, Ontario.

Dear Grandpa to Darryl (Kristin) and Dan Wallace and Lauren, Matthew (Kim), Mitchell and Luke Turcotte. Great-grandpa to Aiden, Chase, Ryan and Charlotte. Also survived by his brother Bill of Kitchener.

Predeceased by his daughter Pamela Ruth (Jim Minda) and also by siblings Elizabeth, Gertrude, Harry, Mary, Catharine, Robert, Ralph, Ronald and Patrick.

Jim was employed by Procter and Gamble for 37 years in the lab, in Research and Development and in Process Safety. After retirement, he taught welding part-time at Mohawk College and was a welding consultant. Jim was always a strong crusader for truth and justice, was famous for his tomatoes and loved a good game of bridge where he liked to bid "No Trump."

As was Jim's wish, his body has been donated to McMaster University Department of Anatomy.

Visitation at STONEHOUSE-WHITCOMB FUNERAL HOME, 11 Mountain Street, Grimsby, Ontario on Friday, September 4th, from 7-9 p.m.

The Memorial service will be held at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, 135 Livingston Avenue, Grimsby on Saturday, September 5th at 1 p.m.

Dear brother-in-law of Alfredo and Irma Capretta, Alberto Capretta, Maria and the late Antonio Capretta. Survived by many nieces and nephews and other family members in Italy, Canada and the United States.

Christine will be remembered as a true matriarch, committed especially to her family, friends and church. She leaves a legacy of love, generosity and an example of bearing up under difficulty with faith and grace. This gentle woman touched the lives of so many by being a giving, thoughtful, loving and wonderfully devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, godmother and friend.

Cheatley_DonnaPassed away peacefully on August 30, 2015 at the General Hospital, in her 80th year.

Predeceased by her parents Dr. Floyd and Frankie Serena and sister Mary Jane.

Beloved wife of Winston for 51 years.

Remembered by her brother-in-law Victor of Ottawa. Donna will be deeply missed by many relatives and friends in Ontario and Canada and her two special phone friends Jean and Irma.

In her younger days, Donna loved to sing in choirs and was in a number of local theatre productions. She loved dogs and had several growing up. It was her who introduced Winston to dogs after they were married. As a child, she had a Cocker Spaniel and as an adult had nine Great Pyrenees and a cat. Along with Winston, she was active in Great Pyrenees Clubs.

She loved to collect teddy bears and other stuffed toy animals. A surprise to most people was that she loved to read and collect books on sports, especially hockey. She enjoyed watching soaps especially Coronation Street. She had a wonderful memory and could baffle many people with her knowledge of people's birthdates.

Special thank you to the staff at the General Hospital, Baywoods Place, PSW's and many other people who gave her great help over the years.

Family will receive friends at CRESMOUNT FUNERAL HOME, 322 Fennell Ave. E., Hamilton, ON on Thursday, September 3rd from 1 p.m. until time of service in the chapel at 3 p.m. Cremation to follow.

Cherished grandmother to Rhonda of Waverley, Brenda [Dan] of Aurora, and Paul [Leanna] of Colgan, and to Matthew [Tricia], Michelle and Alyssa Diguer, of Ottawa. Great grandmother to Ava, Austin, Avery, Allison and Madeleine.

Born in Stoney Creek, Catherine Naylor passed away from lung cancer on Sunday morning, August 30, 2015 at The Carpenter Hospice in Burlington.

Catherine grew up in Stoney Creek, at the historic “Erland Lee Homestead.” She was a graduate of McMaster University. Catherine (also a qualified pilot) and her Husband Brian enjoyed touring the USA and South America for business and pleasure in Brian’s plane, and they both spent winters at their self developed Mediterranean Villas “Hampton Woods” in Sebring FL.

She leaves behind her husband Brian E. Naylor of Burlington, her three children, Frank Ryan, Colleen Ryan (Tom Litzgus), and Kerry Ryan (Kevin Metcalf), and her four grandsons: Max, Zach, and Tanner Litzgus and Kiefer Metcalf.

She is also survived by her three sisters: Frances Tulk (Leslie) of Penticton BC, Janet Davis (Richard) of Grimsby, Alison Schreiber (Clare) of Guelph, and one cousin Jean Graham of Stoney Creek.

Catherine’s love of life will be missed by Brian’s family: Son Tyrone Naylor (Sue), Grandson Tristen Naylor, and Granddaughter Shannon Naylor. Sister Julia Strimple, Sister-in-Law Jean Naylor, Nieces Elizabeth Sansom and Sherie Naidoo (Alan Moseley) and Great Niece Jessica Sansom.

The family wishes to extend a thank you to Dr. Sameena Uddin and the Oncology team at Trillium, The Carpenter Hospice, and a special thank you to Dr. Jane Charters for her care and compassion.

Mr. Piette was a 40 year member of the International Union of Operating Engineers.

Barbara was predeceased by her husband Edwin Ramsey in 1984 and sister-in-law Vickie Campbell in 2012.

Loving mother of Joanne Burton (Bill), Cindy Nickerson (Gary) and Troy Ramsey (Carmen). Barbara is the cherished grandmother of Brent Burton, Erin and Nathan Hellinga, Tory and Jessica Ramsey.

Barbara will also be deeply missed by brother Robert Campbell (Patti), Sharon Herbert (Roy), and nieces, nephews and her extended family members.

A special thank-you goes out to Dr. Bobbi and staff of the Norfolk Hospital Nursing Home.

The family will receive friends at the DENNIS TOLL FUNERAL HOME, 55 Charing Cross Street, Brantford , ON on Thursday, September 3, 2015 from 6-9 p.m. A Celebration of Barbara's Life will take place on Friday at 11 a.m. in the chapel. Interment to follow.

Donations to the Norfolk County Nursing Home in Simcoe or a charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated.
