Gloria leaves behind her husband of 59 years, Larry, daughters Arlene (Vince) Iantomasi, Joyce Paron, Nancy (Al) Deacon, Gloria Paron (Shane Lavell), Lana Paron (Mark Marino) and granddaughters, Lauren, Katrina and Alana.

Will be missed by many extended family and friends.

Private family service has taken place.

Special thanks to her brother, Bob O'Connor, for ongoing support and to the caring staff of the Villa, of Cedar Grove and Birch Trail for the past 7 years.

Irene died peacefully at St. Joseph's Hospital in Hamilton, Ontario.

Irene was born and raised in Montreal, Quebec and moved to Hamilton in 1986 upon her retirement from CNR.

Predeceased by her parents Minnie and Bill Hill, her brother Danny and her grandson Kyle James Hoult.

She will be missed by her brother Bill and sister Rita; her children: Lorraine (Jim), Pat (Cecil), Tim (Maryann); her grandchildren: Erin (Missy), Adam (Chelsea), Scott (Rain) and Cameron, Ben and Kim; her nieces: Lynn, Cathy (Bob) and their son Cory, Ann (Steve) and their children Katie, Christina and Dimitri, and Judy (Jim).

Irene will also be remembered by extended family and friends.

Irene had a special place in her heart for all the children in her life Sophie, Vanessa, Taylor, Hailey, Steven, Salvador, Jonathan, Brian, Olivia, Gian Carlo, Matt, Carissa, Nathan, Jax, Ethan, William and all those who crossed her path.

Irene lived her last 7 years at Villa Italia where she enjoyed participating in activities and making friends.

The family wants to sincerely thank all the staff at Villa Italia, the staff at St. Joe's, the Hamilton CCAC and her family physician Dr. Lynn Nash for all the support and care they provided her over the years.

In keeping with Irene's wishes, cremation has taken place. A simple memorial service and interment will take place on September 13, 2014.

The family would appreciate any donations in Irene's memory to be made to her favorite charity Camp Trillium-Childhood Cancer Support Centre.

Born on July 4th, 1953 in Point Aconi, NS. She was the daughter of the late John B. MacDonald from Point Aconi and the late Alice MacDonald (nee Simpson) from Sydney Mines.

Alice is lovingly remembered by her daughter Jean-Louise and her partner Jonathan of Burlington, ON.

Alice is survived by her sisters, Louise De Caire (husband Danny, nephew Justin De Caire) of Dunnville, ON, Mary Jean MacDonald of Burlington, ON, and brothers Wayne MacDonald of Oakville, ON, Angus MacDonald (wife Lena, nephew Trevor) of Stoney Creek, ON, Danny MacDonald of Fredericton, NB (partner Giselle, daughters Karly MacDonald of Jasper, AB and Kirsten MacDonald of Fredericton, NB).

Predeceased by her nephew Andrew De Caire.

Alice loved to laugh and make those around her always feel welcome.

Roland passed away peacefully, in his 78th year, after a hard fought battle with cancer.

Born to the late Salvatore (Peter) and Amalia Venturoli, Roland was predeceased by older sister Mary, and survived by loving sister Hilda.

Beloved husband of Priscilla, father to Dean (Dorothy), Cindy (Domenic), James and David. Loving Poppa who will be sadly missed by grandchildren Mikayla, Ally, Maegan, Tyler and Avery.

He will be missed by his cat, Angel, very much.

Roland worked at Stelco Parkdale Works for many years and had a great group of friends from there as well as his childhood that he remained close to until the very end.

He leaves behind much family here and in the USA.

The past months were that much easier because of the help and support of his many friends and neighbours…Les, Paul, Tony and Jim; thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

Rollie, as he was fondly known, was always the first to offer his tools or help, and his handiwork remains in many of our homes now and for years to come. We love you and will miss you lots and lots.

We will be holding a celebration of his life on Monday, July 28th at MARKEY DERMODY FUNERAL HOME, 1774 King Street East (at Kenilworth) from 6-9 p.m., cremation will have taken place in advance.

Bob was involved with Parkdale Minor Hockey Association for many years. He was also a pitcher in Big Four Baseball. He enjoyed karaoke and was known to many as "Scooter Bob".

Many thanks to Dr. Ian Hodson and Tracy, Dr. Patel, CCAC, and his many nurses and PSW workers for their outstanding support during this difficult time.

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of a great man, Johnny, at the age of 76. With his children holding his hands, Arpad fought a short but courageous battle with cancer, and then peacefully "went home".

A patient and devoted father to Emilian and Nadia Komaromy, and Dianna and Joe Sferrazza, he will also be greatly missed by his treasured grandsons Lucas and Matthew.

Born in Debeljaca, he is predeceased by his parents, Janos and Maria and his brother Jani.

He is survived by his sister Marika, and will be lovingly remembered by many relatives and friends.

Arpad spent 52 years of his life as a professionally licensed tradesman, specializing in commercial and residential painting in Hamilton and the GTA, but his passion was for music and languages. He was a collector, a storyteller, but above all he was a dedicated father and Otata.

Special thanks to the staff at Emmanuel House for their immeasurable support and patience for him and his family through this time.

Grandmother of Michelle (Rick) Winje, Angelle Thibodeau, Wm. Chadwick (Kaye) Storie, Rebecca (Michelle) Storie, Derek (Holly) Thibodeau.  Great grandmother of Jessica Bentley, Connor Doman, Tyler and Lucas Thibodeau, and Liam Storie. Loving father to Beatrice and Greg Adoranti, Anthony and Liz Coccia, Frida and the late Ray Carbert, Marco and Nora Coccia. Much loved and cherished Nonno of Christopher, Marie, Natalie, Daniel, Michelle, Anthony, Jessica, Matthew, Gabriella and Eliana.

Nazzareno will be sadly missed by his family and friends in Italy and Canada.

Thanks to Father Janusz Roginski and Father Charlie Galea for giving him his dying wish, as well as the staff at St. Joseph's Hospital for their care and compassion.

Doreene passed peacefully at home after a valiant struggle with cancer, surrounded by family.

Beloved Mother of Constance and Darren McNaughton, Maureen and Al Power, Daniel and Eve FitzPatrick, William FitzPatrick and Cheryl-Anne Miller.

Doreene also had three brothers and two sisters. John (and Marg) Harrison, Robert (and Lorraine) Harrison (both deceased), William (and Maxine) of Annapolis, NS (also deceased).

Survived by her sister and beloved friend Emily Crossman of Sakville, NB and Valerie (and George) Prince of Hamilton.

She will be dearly missed by her loving grandchildren: Ashley and Larry Power of Hamilton, Jonathan and Ryan McNaughton of Unionville as well as her longtime dear friend Elizabeth Gibson, also of Hamilton.

As per her wishes, no funeral will be held. A celebration of life will be confirmed at a later date.

David was born on August 15, 1914 in Winnipeg, Manitoba and had many happy memories of the family farm.

The family moved to Toronto in 1927 where he met his wife Irene and two daughters were born. The family moved to Brantford in 1957 where David worked at the Ladish Co. as Plant Superintendent until his retirement in 1979.

David and Irene enjoyed travelling and David played golf until the age of 88 years. He was also a member of the Kiwanis Club of Grand River and served as Secretary for several years.

David will be laid to rest on Thursday, July 24th, 2014 with a Funeral Service in Brantford. Interment to follow.

The family wishes to thank all the CCAC workers, especially David’s angel Marie and his neighbour Terry whose kindness was greatly appreciated and who all made it possible for David to remain in his home until age 99. We wish also to thank the staff and Nurses of Tranquility Place and Hardy Terrace for their excellent care.

David was always proud of his Scottish heritage and we hope the sound of bagpipes accompany him on his final journey.

Peacefully on July 21, 2014 at Joseph Brant Hospital in his 91st year.

Dear father of Sue (Ron) Crowley, Bette Ann Gillespie, loving Papa to David (Carolyn), Melissa, Jody (Bill), Sara (Stephen) and Great- Papa to Matthew, Megan, Addison, Nolan, and Benjamin.

Norman will be lovingly remembered by Paula (Geo), Karen, Linda, and Mary as well as many other family and friends.

Norman was predeceased by Marjorie, Gladys, and his son Rick.

Norman's family would like to extend a warm thank you to Kaitlin and Kerry in Emergency at Joseph Brant Hospital.

Norman proudly served Canada in WWII in the Ontario Tank Regiment and also worked for Canada Post for over 35 years.

Norman will be remembered by most as a man who enjoyed life to the fullest and loved his family.

Funeral Service will be held on Friday in Hamilton. Interment.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation.

In his 85th year, at home on July 21, 2014.

Husband of the late Irene Groen (2009), brother to Tom (Alice), Neil (Wilma), George (1987) (Betty) and Elizabeth (2011), (Anton) (2013).

Survived by children, John (Toby), Judy (Gerry), and Sue (Tom); grandchildren, Michael (Angela), Murray, Adam, Becky, Tyson, Melissa, Amy, and Brittney; great-grand-children Jonathan, Chloe, Carson, Bryson, and Emma.

Also survived by two aunts Adriana Vanderschee and Jany Groen, many nieces and nephews, plus many close relatives in the Netherlands.

An entrepreneur and farmer for most of his life, Andy was also a life member and past president of the Ancaster Agricultural Society.

 He was a passionate believer in the importance of family and was instrumental in keeping relationships active with relatives and friends in Canada and the Netherlands.

In keeping with Andy's wishes, cremation has taken place and no funeral service will be held.

Many thanks to all the CCAC workers and the VON whose support allowed Andy to remain in his home for many years. Also our thanks go to Dr. Gideon and Dr. Pickett, who made his last few years so much easier by making house calls. Their compassion is greatly appreciated.

Smokey died as he lived: in charge. He can now rest in comfort and in peace.

Passed away Monday July 21st, 2014 peacefully at Ross Memorial Hospital, at the age of 77, with loving family at his side.

Beloved husband of Iola Hamilton (Dennison).

Loving father to Son, Bailey Hamilton and Daughter, Hailey Hamilton, and a loving Grandfather to his Granddaughter, Shelby Hamilton Miller. Fondly remembered by brother James Hamilton, Wife Linda Hamilton and his Uncle Bill and Aunt Lenora Prentice and loving Mother-in-Law Verna Dennison Hancock. A son to predeceased Len and Beatrice Hamilton and loving brother to predeceased sisters Mickey Anderson (Hamilton) , and Frankie Peel (Hamilton).

Dear brother of Joan Llewellyn, Jack, Arthur (Mary), Maxine Bell, Joey (Shirley), and Larry (Jean). Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by his brother Vince.

Mr. Lanigan was a long time employee of Shell Canada with over 30 years of service, then worked for First Ontario Credit Union for 25 years as a Courier.

The family wishes to express their thanks to the Staff of St. Peter's Residence at Chedoke for the care and compassion shown to their father during his residency there.

A Funeral Service will be held at the funeral home on Friday, July 25th in Hamilton. Cremation to follow.

Passed away suddenly, at the Juravinski Hospital, on July 21, 2014, in his 80th year.

Beloved husband of Donna (Davenport) for 58 years. Dearest father of Cindy Worron (Don).

Survived by brother Denis (Evelyn) of New Brunswick, sister- in-law Louella London of Toronto, and brother-in-law Wayne Law.

Predeceased by brother Ernest and sister Doreen.

Dan is also survived by many nieces and nephews in Ontario and New Brunswick.

He was an employee of Stelco for 20 years. Many thanks to the VON Nurses, and a special thank you to Nurse Linda.

As per Dan's wishes, there will be no service. Cremation has taken place. A private interment of ashes will be held at a later date. Friends and family are invited to an Open House Celebration of Dan's life at his residence, on Sunday, July 27, 2014, from 2-5 p.m.

A donation in Dan's memory to a charity of choice would be greatly appreciated by the family.
