Unexpectedly on June 21, 2014, Mitch passed away at his home, at the age of 57.

Survived by his children Jill and Desmond, and by his brother Luke Ranger.

Predeceased by his parents Lucien and Angele, and his brother Jack.

Memorial visitation will be held on Friday, June 27th in Hamilton. Interment

Feisty and sharing her sense of humor, Mary, on June 20th 2014 in her 90th year, died peacefully surrounded by her family.

Together with Frank (deceased February 1999) they have 4 children  Barb (Ralph), Deb (Doug), Dan (Michelle), Brad (Lori), 8 grandchildren Steve (Jen), Michelle (Barry), Michael (Suzi), Mark, Jeff, Taylor, Courteney, Jordan and 5 great grandchildren Ali, Ciana, Ethan, Owen and Kaleb.

Mary is a sister to 8 siblings Norma and Willie Meagher (deceased), Laura and Ivan Anderson (deceased), Anna Woolsey and the late Emmett, Leno and Ella Didero (deceased), Eva Smith and the late William, Joe (deceased) and Judy Didero, Tina and John Gallagher and the late Mickey Robillard, and Leo and Theresa Didero.

Mary is remembered for her abundance of energy, strong work ethic, her apple pies, candy bowls, love of bingo and scratch tickets. Reflecting on her life, Mary said “I’ve lived a good long life. I’ve loved you all, and you’ve loved me.”

A very special thank you to the staff of Oak Lane at Wentworth Lodge for your exceptional and compassionate care.

Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday June 24th in Waterdown. Cremation to follow.

In lieu of flowers donations to Wentworth Lodge would be appreciated.

(November 6, 1935 - June 20, 2014)

John passed away peacefully at the Juravinski Hospital on June 20, 2014.

Predeceased by his only daughter Flavia (1987). Survived by his wife Adriana and brother Walter (Elaine).

John is also survived by brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, many nieces, nephews, cousins in Canada and Italy.

Proud member of Local 18 Carpenter's Union.

Nini (as he was affectionately called by his closest friends) enjoyed fishing, cooking the many recipes he devised and his veggie garden, especially the garlic.

Special thanks to nurses and doctors at the Juravinski Hospital for their care during John's final days.

Visitation at MARKEY-DERMODY FUNERAL HOME, 1774 King Street East (at Kenilworth) Hamilton on Sunday from 2-4pm and 7-9 pm where the Funeral Service will be held on Monday, June 23rd at 11am. Entombment.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Juravinski Cancer Centre, St. Joseph's Healthcare or a charity of choice would be appreciated.

Beloved wife of the late Nikola. Loving mother of Mirko (Mojca), Branko (Milica) and the late Ivan. Dear mother-in-law to Anna and cherished baka to Gordon (Michelle), Brian (Jennifer), Zoran (Mojca) and Alenka (Simon). Prabaka to Luka, Eliana, Evelyn, Ana and Kristjan.

She is predeceased by her 9 siblings.

Ljubica will be fondly remembered by her many nieces, nephews and family in Canada, Croatia and Slovenia.

Her family will receive friends at the Markey Dermody Funeral , 1774 King St. E. on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. with Rosary at 7 p.m.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Cross Croatian Church on Tuesday, June 24th at 9:30 a.m. with interment following.

If desired, donations to Holy Cross Croatian Church or the Alzheimer Society of Ontario would be greatly appreciated.

Daughter of Frank and Elizabeth Lotocki.

Mother of Linda, William (Julie), Susan (Fred), Donna (pre-deceased 2011) John and Robert (Barb).

Sister to Robert (Bill), Frank and William. Predeceased by Rose and Andrew.

Grandmother to ten and Great-Nan to seven.

As per Julia's wishes, cremation has taken place.

After a long battle with Alzheimer's, Dorothy Clewlow passed away on June 20, 2014, in her 94th year, at the Wellington where she received loving care from the devoted workers.

Born in London, England, where she served in the ATS during WWII and where she met and married her husband Stan for 69 years who was serving in the CDN army at the time.

Dorothy is survived by her husband and six children, Robert, James, Edward (Joanne) Thomas (Patty), Stanley (Donna), Colleen (Wolf), and grand-children and great-grandchildren.

She was a God fearing Lady, so we know she is in the arms of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus.

A memorial gathering will be held at a later date.

Davidson_Percy_DougPassed away peacefully at Upper Canada Lodge Nursing Home in Niagara-on-the-Lake on Friday, June 20, 2014, at the age of 87.

Beloved husband of the late Lois (nee Howick).

Loving father of Shelley Stallworth, Connie Christopher (Nicholas), Scott Davidson (Sara) and Tom Davidson. Grandfather and great grandfather many times over. Also survived by his first wife, Joyce. Doug was predeceased by his siblings.

Active in community service, Doug was Past President of the Burlington Chamber of Commerce, a Member of Brant Masonic Lodge No. 663 in Burlington and the Hamilton Scottish Rite and a Rotarian. He was also a member of the Hamilton Builders Association.

Doug was also politically active, at various times working as Campaign Manager for George Harrington, on the campaign team for George Kerr, and running for Alderman in Burlington.

Doug retired as Halton Regional Manager for Union Gas. He was instrumental in helping take Burlington from a small town to a thriving city, having many developments come across his desk.

Doug will be remembered as an athlete as well, having played Junior A hockey for Hamilton and St. Catharines and professionally for Buffalo in the American Hockey League. In 1948 he won the Mann Cup with the Hamilton Tigers Lacrosse Team, earning him a spot in the Lacrosse Hall of Fame. Doug’s favourite thing to do was watch the sunset over Lake Ontario at the end of Shakespeare Avenue in Niagara-on-the-Lake.

Arrangements out of Burlington. Cremation has taken place. A memorial gathering to celebrate Doug’s Life will be held at 750 East-West Line, Niagara-on-the-Lake on Saturday, June 28 from 1 - 5pm.

Beloved wife of the late Ralph  Haalstra. Cherished mother of Arlene & David Carpenter,  Theo & Jackie Haalstra,  Jeff & Cindy Haalstra, and Marg Haalstra-Koke & Ken Koke. 

Beloved grandmother and great grandmother to Brad & Rebecca Carpenter (Ayden, Isaac and Rowan),  Leah & Klaas Baan (Kathryn, Jonathan), Yvonne & Pete Schuurman, (Victoria, Ashley), Trevor & Jessica Haalstra (Jayne, Katelyn, Allison), Evelyn & Craig Brydges, Rachel, Michelle and Shane Haalstra,  Myles and Madison Koke.

Predeceased by infant son Anthony Peter Nov. 20, 1951 – June 18,1952.

Dear sister of the late Kathleen Hamstra, the late Jacob Hamstra (Grace), Gerald Hamstra (Theresa), Peter Hamstra (Audrey), Willy VandenBerg (Peter).

Lovingly remembered as a Godly woman who walked with her Savior, serving Him within her family and her church.

Loving mother of Ross and his wife Barb, and Wayne and his wife Shirley. Loved grandmother to Julie (Gabe Nikota), Jennifer (Brad Mears), Lindsay (Justin Percival), and Shawn. Great grandmother to Jordan, Emily, and Addison.

Edna was the last of ten children in the Syrett family.

Service will be held on Tuesday June 24, 2014 in Brantford. Interment.

Donations to St. Joseph’s Lifecare Centre or Central Presbyterian Church appreciated.

Adored son-in-law of Ray and Kathy Butler, brother-in-law of Sandra, Shirley, Linda, Moya and Chris. Greg will be fondly remembered by his family, friends, coworkers and his loyal four-legged friend Bernie.

Memorial service will be held in Brantford on Thursday, June 26th.

Donations in Greg’s memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or Alzheimer Society of Brant would be greatly appreciated.
