Promoted to Glory from Queen's Garden LTC, Hamilton on Saturday, February 8, 2014. In his 80th year, Don has been taken home to be with his Lord and Saviour.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Marilyn (Sharp). His children, Kevin, Cameron (Cindy), David (Cathy), Daniel (Elspeth), Mark (Kelly) and Dawn (Jeff Pinson) will always cherish the memories of their father.
Donald will be remembered by his 11 grandchildren; Heather (DJ Bouck), Kristin (Matthew Whittaker), Danielle, Andrew, Kyle, Zachary, Victoria, Matthew, Courtney, Joshua and Emma. He will be forever loved by his great grandchildren Rachel, Levi, Alexander, Brynlee, Riley and Emileigh.
Don was a salesman for E.B. Eddy Products for over 30 years. He was a lifetime member of The Salvation Army and a loyal bandsman for over 50 years. For many years, Don could be found at Mountain Arena working with the Mount Hamilton Junior Bees and Mountain A's hockey associations.
Friends are invited to call at The Salvation Army Meadowlands, 187 Stone Church Road, Ancaster, on Tuesday from 6-9 pm and on Wednesday from 11 am - 12:30 pm. The funeral service for Don will be held on Wednesday at 1 o'clock with cremation to follow.
Donations to The Salvation Army Meadowlands Corps or the Alzheimers Society would be appreciated by the family.

Beloved wife to the late Vernon Parkin (1990). Loving mother of Nana Marie Cunningham (Dan, deceased), Laura Lee Dove, Sherry Lynn Parkin and Katrina Forrest (George). Predeceased by her son Ernie Parkin. Dear grandma to Jason (Haley), Melissa (Jason), Carl and Spenser.
Predeceased by her four sisters and five brothers. Also survived by her sister Violet Reeves and her brother Roy Carlson.
A grave side service will take place on Thursday, February 13, 2014 in Hamilton.

Peacefully, with her loving family at her side Eleanor (Babcie) passed away at the Juravinski Hospital on February 8, 2014.
Eleanor was predeceased by her husband Philip and grandson Bill.
She will be sadly missed by her sons Gary and Wayne; daughters-in-law Marlene and Lori; much-loved grandchildren Kimberly and her husband Frank, Jennifer and her husband Andy and Kerrie; and her great-grandchildren Emma and Avery.
Everyone who knew her will miss her sweet smiling face, her laughter and ever- positive outlook on life.
The family sends their sincere thank you to the doctors and nurses at the Juravinski Hospital and all of the staff on the 4th floor, Cherry Lane, St. Joseph's Villa, Dundas where Eleanor resided for the last 3 years.
