Loving mother of Robert (Diana) and Dorian Poyton. Beloved Nana of Cindy (Jeremy), Christopher, Jodi (Steve), Lauren and Great –Nana of Chase, Taylor and Noah. Loved sister of Lottie Cooper (Jim), Sid Hiscock (Marie) and Donna Hiscock. Predeceased by her brothers Edward Harold Hiscock Jr.  and Lorne Hiscock (Kay). Also lovingly remembered by her long time companion Ray Murray along with many nieces and nephews. 

Cremation has taken place. Friends will be received in Stoney Creek on Monday, May 6th.  There will be no Funeral Service.

Peacefully at St. Joseph's Hospital, on Thursday, May 2, 2013, in his 100th year.

Born in Slovakia, Andrew immigrated to Canada when he was 19. He worked in gold mines in Kirkland Lake and later at International Harvester in Hamilton for 30 years.

Selflessly, he raised two stepfamilies: four children, Wm. Santor (predeceased), Marilyn (Santor) Tebbutt (predeceased), Noreen (Santor) Evans and Don Santor, after the early death of his beloved first wife Edna Osborne in 1949 and two children, Susan (Boyd) Teahan and Lisa (Boyd) Bowler. His cherished second wife Frances predeceased him by seven years. Andrew is survived by a half-brother Dennis Liska (born in 1930) currently living in London, Ontario. Andrew will be dearly missed by all his family, his many grandchildren, and great-grandchildren and his many friends at Highgate residence.

A memorial service will be held at Marshall Memorial United Church, 20 Gilbert Ave., Ancaster, on Friday, May 10th at 11:00 a.m. with a reception to follow.

Passed away comfortably at her nursing home on May 2, 2013.

Her health, eyesight and mobility had diminished considerably in the past year and she spoke often about reuniting with her husband, family members, friends and Hamilton Aquatic teammates who have also passed away.

Everyone who knew her admired her smiling, optimistic nature. She will be missed by her sons Dennis and Wayne, daughter-in-law Diana, grandchildren Cortney and Nic Armstrong, Ashleigh and David Ovcjak, Gage Cuncic (Nicole) and Devyn Cuncic. Great-granddaughter Sloane Armstrong. She is now with husband Frank (2004) and daughter-in-law Susie (2010).

In Jennie's words, she is "dancing with the angels".

Died at Notre Dame Convent, Waterdown, Ontario on May 1, 2013 in her 103rd year and 84th year as a School Sister of Notre Dame.

She is predeceased by her parents William and Mary (Hart) Pautler and her brothers, Joseph, Jerome, Gerald and Norbert and sisters, Sister Mary Rose CSJ, and Helen, and lovingly remembered by the members of her religious community especially her sister, Sister Eileen SSND, and nieces, nephews.

Sister Imelda had a long career in education. She taught at St. John, Holy Family and St. Helen Schools in Hamilton. In 1963 -1966 Sister Imelda returned to these schools as itinerant Home Economics teacher. Other schools where she taught were St. Louis, Waterloo and Sacred Heart, Walkerton. She was principal in Formosa and at St. Aloysius and St. Teresa Schools in Kitchener. From 1946 - 1950 Sister Imelda was directress for the young women who were considering becoming a member of the congregation. Upon her retirement from teaching, Sister Imelda was manager of maintenance in the Waterdown Motherhouse.

In 1976 Sister Imelda was asked to assist at the SSND Generalate in Rome. When she returned to the Motherhouse she applied her sewing skills by making and repairing draperies and assisting in various tasks.

The death of Sister Imelda marks an historical moment for the former Canadian province. She is the last pioneer who came to Waterdown on February 14, 1927 when the Motherhouse opened.

Visitors will be received at Notre Dame Convent on Sunday, May 5 from 2-4 and 7-8 p.m. Prayer service will be held on Sunday, May 5 at 3:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, May 6 at 10:30 a.m. Interment at Notre Dame Convent Cemetery.

Harry went home to heaven on Wednesday, May 1, 2013 at Haldimand War Memorial Hospital, Dunnville to join his dear wife Irene (nee Tibbett) (2004).

He is survived by his loving children: daughter, Carol Thomas and her husband John and their children Michael (Denise) and Sandra (Mike); son, Steve Price and his wife Sharon, and their children Susanne (Ryan) and Sandi (Mark); and seven great-grandchildren.

Harry dedicated his life to serving the Dunnville Community. He served on countless boards and committees in Grace United Church and in the community at large, including, Dunnville Hospital and Healthcare Foundation, The Lions Club, Dunnville Community Policing and OPP, and many, many more. Harry helped in the forming of the Lioness Club, he was named Citizen of the year in Dunnville, and sang in the choir at Grace United Church for over 70 years.

Thank you to Dr. Beth Blake and the phenomenal nurses, staff, doctors, friends and acquaintances for their care and concern. Special thanks to Doug Bartlett who has been a support to our family for both Mom and Dad and has been an incredible neighbour and friend.

A Funeral Service will take place at Grace United Church, 301 Broad St. E., Dunnville on Saturday, May 11th at 11 a.m. Cremation.

Beloved wife of the late Rev. Dr. Les Renault (1996), passed away peacefully at the Willowgrove.

Jan was the daughter of Grace and William Kerr. Jan leaves behind Wendy (Bill), Steve (Lisa), and Dan (Elaine), and grandchildren, Brandon, Heather, Caleb, Joshua, Levi, Ryan, and Haley, and great granddaughters Adia and Faryhn. Mom’s sisters Betty and Lorna will miss her, and she is pre deceased by brothers John and George and sister Grace. Mom will be missed by sister and brothers in law and many nieces and nephews and many friends, including best friend for eight decades, Dorothy.

Mom joined dad in serving (Presbyterian Churches) at Laural Lee in Sarnia, First Presbyterian in Brockville, Chedoke in Hamilton, St Andrews in Corunna and St Andrews in Sarnia and Central in Hamilton. Mom was active in all of these ministries and has many friends from each of these church families.

Mom was an amazing minister’s wife, making people feel welcome, comfortable, and well fed. Mom loved family and church and enjoyed activities at church and shopping. Mom was very proud of her family’s accomplishments. Mom, we miss your shortbread and fudge.

 Jan will be deeply missed.

Many thanks for the wonderful care mom received at the Wellington retirement home and her 8 years at the Willowgrove.

Earl also had six grandchildren: Andrea (Tom), Alison, Jared (Clorin), Sarah, Robert (Jess), Crystal (Sean) and eight great-grandchildren.

Earl will probably be fishing already with all of his buddies who have been waiting for him for quite a while.

Predeceased by her loving husband James Alfano and her parents Charles and Lena Amato and in-laws Joseph and Marie Alfano. Her sisters Carm and husband George Moore, Josie and husband Charles Ricottone, sister-inlaw Rose and Sam Rizzo, and Alfano in-laws. Mary will be sadly missed by her sisters and brothers-in-law Grace and John Macaluso, Lena Amato, Rose and Frank Gris, Angie and Neil Harmer. Her nephews Dr. Nick Rizzo and Margaret, Dr. Joseph Rizzo and Sylvia Chitty. Mary is survived by Sam and Susan Alfano and many loving nieces, nephews, great and great nieces and nephews.

Mary loved playing cards and loved knitting afghans, sockettes, made so beautifully expressing loads of love to her benefactors. She was a member of the CWL for 34 years at the Cathedral of Christ the King and a devoted minister of the Eucharist. Mary enjoyed her Tim's coffees and cruellers with her very dear friends after Sunday Mass almost every weekend and loved her visits with family.

She had many kind friends and family who supported selflessly to her needs enabling her independence.

Many thanks to Queen's Garden nurses and care givers for taking such kind and loving care of Mary and for their hospitality to the family.

A Funeral Mass will be offered at Cathedral of Christ the King Church on Friday, May 3, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. Interment to follow.

Much loved uncle of many nieces and nephews. Sadly missed by his relatives and friends in Canada, Sicily and the United States.

An avid fisherman and musician, with a passion for travel, boating, reading and love for his pets.

Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, May 5th in Hamilton. Cremation to follow.

Passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, April 30, 2013.

Beloved husband of Barbara for 39 years. Roy was predeceased by his father John (1937) and by his mother Grace (1960).

Born and raised in Hamilton, Roy served in the Royal Canadian Air Force during WWII before becoming a Teacher and Principal with the Hamilton Board of Education. Survived by his son John (Evelyn) and his grandsons David and Paul and his daughter Ann of Toronto.

Special thanks to Dr. Elizabeth Shaw and her team at McMaster Family Practice, Tamara Smith from CCAC and the caring PSWs from C.B.I. and Paramed. They helped to comfort Roy on his final journey.

Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held at the MARLATT FUNERAL HOME, 615 Main St. E., Hamilton (East of Sanford Ave.) on Saturday, May 11, 2013 at 2 p.m.

Predeceased by his wife of 61 years, Marjorie (February 2008).

Father of Ted, Bill (Laura), Joan (Tim), John (Diane), Janet (Tim), Patricia, Peter (Janet), Mary (Bill), Brian (Patty), Paul, Michael (Jenn).

Loving grandfather of Jeremy, Chris, Jonathon, Anthony, Christina, Amanda, Alicea, Patrick, Daniel, Katie, Andrew, Clancy, Adam, Ryan, Morgan, Sydney, Deryn, Conor, Mackenzie, Jessica, Abby and Jason. Great-grandfather of Joshua, Avery, Liam, Chloe, Kaylee, Sophie, Julia, Lucien, Matthew, Mitchell, Josephine and Riley.

Ted served with the RCAF from 1939 to 1965. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus.

A mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 18th at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church.

The family will privately celebrate Ted's life after interment of the ashes in Ancaster, ON.
