Cherished wife of 63 years of Wayne Simmons, Trenton. Dearest daughter of the late Dr. Sam and Lillian Cronk. Darling sister of Dr. Bruce Cronk (Sylvia Cronk) Belleville. Dearly beloved mother of Jane Calder (Dr. Iain Calder) Ottawa, Kathryn Burns (Dr. Robert Burns) Belleville, and Dr. Maureen Simmons, Belleville.
Adored grandmother of Bruce Calder (Patricia Calder), Andrew Calder (Christy Doucet), and James Calder (Jessica Fontaine) of Ottawa; Robert Burns (Casey Sharp) of Kingston and Kathryn Burns, of Belleville; and Christopher Johnson, Toronto. Proud great-grandmother of Logan, Claire and Ethan Calder.
Harriet was very involved in her community, serving on the Board of the Children’s Aid Society, V.O.N., King Street United Church, and the Trenton and District Planning Board and many other charitable groups. A graduate of both Queen’s University and the University of Toronto, she was an active and long time member of the Canadian Federation of University Women’s Club Belleville and District.
A Service of Celebration of her life will be held at King Street United Church, Trenton on Tuesday, February 28, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. with the Rev. Dr. Harold A. Wilson officiating. A reception at the Church will follow the service.

At the Belleville General Hospital on Tuesday February 14th, 2012, at the age of 89.
Loving daughter of the late Fred, and Blanche Radford. Beloved wife of the late Grant Wright, and Vincent McLean.
Survived by her two children Linda Steiger (Skip), and Robert Wright (Carolyn), and two step-children Janet Hodge (Mike), and Laurie Sears (Wayne), and the late Dr. Carl McLean. Predeceased by three brothers Russell, Max, and Gerald Radford, and three sisters Audrey Smith, Velma Inwood, and Barbara Cronkright, and survived by her brother Orval Radford, and two sisters Betty Hutchinson, and Gwen Day.
Ever remembered by her 8 grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
In keeping with Aileen’s wishes, there will be no visitation or service. Cremation has taken place. A private inurnment will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.

At QHC-Belleville General Hospital, after a final battle with cancer, on Tuesday, February 14, 2012 in his 79th year.
Son of the late William & Emma Williams. Beloved husband for 58 years, of Gloria (nee Gill) Williams. Loving father of William Jr. and his wife Cheryl Williams of Belleville. Much loved grandfather of Rachel (Blair) Gannon & Erin Williams.
Bill is survived by his sister-in-law; Aileen ( Warren) Snell of Belleville and brother-in-law; Robert Gill of Winnipeg. He is predeceased by his brother Kenneth Williams.
Bill was a dedicated volunteer with the Canadian Cancer Society, recognized with the prestigious Citation of Merit (National Award) in 2006. His positions with the Society over his 22 years of service include; Hastings & Prince Edward Unit President, Ontario East Regional President, Provincial Board Member, Information Outreach Volunteer, Peer Support Worker, Transportation Convener, and Volunteer Driver to name a few.
By offering his valuable time, skills and leadership, Bill assisted the Canadian Cancer Society greatly in carrying out its mission to eradicate cancer and enhance the quality of life of people living with cancer. Bill was a member of Bridge Street United Church for many years and served there on various committees. He was also a long time member of the Board of Directors at Elmwood Cemetery.
A Private Family Inurnment Service, officiated by Rev. Dr. William Smith, was held at Elmwood Cemetery.
Memorial Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be a fitting tribute to Bill’s memory.

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father and poppy, Ron Hoskin. Ron passed peacefully with his three girls at his side, following a brief illness, on Friday, February 10, 2012 at the Kingston General Hospital.
Born on April 2, 1941 to James and Marjorie Hoskin (nee Fitzgerald) in Peterborough. Ron was dearly loved by his wife of 38 years Pauline (nee McCrory). Adored father to Lisa Hoskin-Doornbos ,Shawna Furney and her husband Adam. Cherished Poppy to Charley, Oliver and Quinn.
Loved and respected by his brother Roy, uncles Edmund (Ruth) and John (Jeanine). Sadly missed by his extended family John and Barb McCrory, Marie Breach, Clifford McCrory, Brenda Cooney and his many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by brother-in-laws Arthur Breach and Ronald Cooney and sister-in-law Eleanor Newton.
Ron treasured his time spent with his friends and family camping, snowmobiling, motorcycling, 4-wheeling, drag racing and at car shows. Riding down the trail on whatever suited the season was where he wanted to be. He was always ready to help a neighbor and enjoyed teaching the kids how to drive, backup a trailer, install a motor and change the oil.
A memorial service will be held in Bellevile on Thursday, February 16th.
Memorial donations may be made to the SickKids Foundation, or the Canadian Diabetes Association.
