Passed away at McQuigge Lodge, on Saturday, October 18th, in her 89th year.

Beloved wife of the late Wilfred (Roy) Brownlee.

mother of Sharon (David) Byrd, of Belleville; Barry (Wanda) Brownlee, of Bird's Creek; and Karen (Dave) Casselman, of Cannifton.

Nettie was predeceased by sons Robert and Gary, and by 14 brothers and sisters and one grandchild.

She is also survived by her daughter-in-law Susanne Brownlee; by two brothers, Ernest (Freda) Scott and Larry (Donna) Scott, both of the Kingston area; and by ten grandchildren.

The visitation and service will be at Calvary Temple on Tuesday, October 21st. Interment will follow in Plainfield.

Son of the late Lewis & Grace Kline. Beloved husband and best friend of Fay Kline for 64 years. Loved father of Bob (Maureen) Kline. He is predeceased by his son Danny. Survived by brothers Reuben and Tom Kline.

Ever remembered by grandchildren Cory (Jen), Tina, Dan (Danielle), and Cher (Ken) and his seven great-grandchildren Miaya & Madison, Blake, Haylee & Ethan, Hanna & Ryan.

Lew will also be sadly missed by in-laws Bernadette, Luella (Roger), Doreen, Eileen (Ray) and Gaius (Joanne). Predeceased by in-laws Mansel, Earl, Florn, Sandra and Adele. He leaves behind many loving nieces and nephews.

Lew was involved with the Scouts for many years, he was also an avid hunter and fisherman.

Friends and family are invited to St. Mark’s Church, Cannifton on Monday, October 20th from 1-2pm for a visitation. A service will follow at 2pm. Interment will be in Corbyville. A luncheon to follow at St. Mark’s Church.

Ian had been part of the Belleville Community for over six decades. His accomplishments in business and his passion for sailing were noteworthy. He will be fondly remembered and missed by many.

Predeceased by his parents Charles and Kathleen (neé Pratt) Cook.

Robert came to his Community Living Kingston family in June 1999. Robert quickly renewed old acquaintances and over time developed new, caring, devoted relationships.

He will be missed terribly by his friends Kathy, Bryan, Mary, Deb and Lori. Robert was a quiet yet powerful force within his Smithfield family. He had a keen appreciation of good food (especially all things chocolate), and fine attire.

A man of very few 'words,' but to those who knew him well, he spoke volumes and taught many lessons.

Those who have supported Robert over the years including Community Living Kingston and District and Providence Manor will remember him fondly.

Visitation will be held at Gordon F. Tomkins Funeral Home – Township Chapel, 435 Davis Drive, Kingston, on Tuesday, October 21st from 10 – 11am.  A funeral service will follow immediately at 11am followed by a light lunch at the funeral home.

Interment at GROVESIDE CEMETERY, Whitby on Wednesday, October 22nd at 1:00pm.

Reid_ArtPeacefully, Art Reid passed away at the Campbellford Memorial Hospital following a brave battle with cancer.

He was the much loved Husband of Judy, loving Father to: John, Michael, Brian, Sean, Andrew and David; Brother to Kaireen, and a beloved Papa by many.

Throughout his career Art served the public as the Fire Chief, Police Chief and Ambulance driver within the Hastings community. After stepping down as the last one-man police force in Ontario, he went on to serve with the O.P.P. of Northumberland County for 23 years.

Art will be remembered by many for his unique and compassionate style of policing.

Please join Art's family in a celebration of his life on Saturday, November 1st at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #103 Campbellford from 1 - 3 pm with a moment of remembrance at 2pm.

Predeceased by his Mom, Kay Cronk and brothers Lenny Whattam and Kollan Cronk.  Lovingly remembered by his nieces and nephews, who have many great memories of their fun Uncle Roger.

Roger will be greatly missed by his dear friends who were like family, Billy & Donna Meikle, Clint & Joy Kinney, Dave & Linda Todd, Brian & June Johnston and their families.   A heartfelt thank you for the love and friendship you shared.

Shirley spent her career teaching, having spent many years at Stockdale Public School in Frankford up until her retirement.

George was a loving and caring man, a dedicated teacher who was able to bring a smile to everyone’s face.  He will be greatly missed by his extended family, former students and many friends.

A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, October 21st, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at the St. Andrew’s Anglican Church, Wellington, ON. Reception to follow.

Tokarewicz_JohnAt University Hospital, London on Sunday, October 12, 2014. John Tokarewicz of Marmora in his 92nd year.

Son of the late Theodore and Olena (Gurnik) Tokarewicz.

He was born in Sloboda, Ukraine. Survived the Holodomyr and was swept up into the forced labour camps of Germany in WWII. After the war, John emigrated from Belgium to Marmora, Ontario, where he embraced his new community and dedicated himself to providing for his family.

Cherished husband of the late Anne Aniela (nee: Babich). Loving father of Dr. Alexander Tokarewicz, London; Anita (Dr. Carlo) Pavan, London; Dr. John (Lynn) Tokarewicz, Komoka; Thomas RCMP (Amy) Tokarewicz, London; Jim Tokarewicz (Maureen March), Marmora.  Beloved grandfather of Alexandra, Lara, Mira, Anya, Alena, Jaclyn, Alexander, and Bryce.

Mass of Christian Burial will take place at Sacred Heart of Jesus Roman Catholic Church, Marmora, on Tuesday, October 21st at 11:00 A.M.

Memorial Donations may be made to the Lung Association, Heart and Stroke Foundation, or Mental Health Services Centre Hastings.

Barry Gaebel, beloved husband of Joan (Anderson) Gaebel,

Loving father of Steve of Toronto and Allan & Kathy of Bancroft. Grandfather of Dianne and Dusty and great grandfather of Katrina and Kyle.

Loving brother of Stan of Belleville, Judy Knowles of Trenton, Toni Kavanagh of Bancroft and Dave of Bancroft.

Deeply missed by the Anderson family and by his many nieces, nephews and friends.

Cremation. A service will take place at St. Pauls United Church on Friday, October 17th. Rev. Lynn Watson officating.

GRAHAM, Scott Christopher -

At age 36, entered into rest at his home in Kingston, on October 11, 2014.

Born March 4, 1978, Scott was the dear son of Douglas and Betty Graham (St. Hilaire). He leaves behind his two greatest loves, his children Jacob & Lucy Graham-Shillington.

He will be warmly remembered by his siblings; Drew (Amanda), Erin (Justin), Kyle (Kylie), nieces and nephews; Spencer, Evelyn, Braedan, Tess, Sullivan and Jett and his former partner Brooke. Scott’s proudest accomplishment was being a father.

A graduate of St. Lawrence College, he was also a talented visual and musical artist, a passionate sports fan and an avid fisherman. His happiest times were those spent with his children, family and friends. He was loved dearly and will be forever missed.
