We Regret to Announce That We Have Had to Discontinue
HastingsObituaries.com
.

For years, we have posted regional death notices as a free public service, while taking on the complete cost of publishing ourselves. We can no longer do so.

Without participating Funeral Centres, Cemeteries, Monument Suppliers and Local Businesses advertising with us, we can no longer run this website at a financial deficit.

We have received dozens of emails by folks upset at the discontinuation of our daily updates, and we apologize.  We also love this site, and considered it a great service to the public by accumulating and listing all Regional Obituaries in one spot.

Also, we appreciate the privacy to not contact the families of friends for funeral arrangements who may be shortly passing, as well as, friends not having to frequently check all local funeral centre websites for service information.

Sponsors are welcome to participate and support HastingsObituaries.com by advertising (i.e., local funeral centres, cemeteries, monument suppliers or local businesses, ...we would also include your Banners and Direct Links to your websites) – please  contact us for info!

Participating Funeral Centres will be prominently Featured; within their Region, and within the Obituary Notices, including Links redirecting viewers to your Websites.

We are continuing to publish notices to DurhamObituraies.com …  and also for now, TorontoObituaries.com and HaltonObituaries.com

Thank you for visiting our website.
We plan to have the 9 other Regional Websites back on-line soon!

Sincerely,

HastingsObituaries.com

Morrell FrankMORRELL, Frank Joseph - It is with deep regret I am announcing the passing on June 3, 2018 of one of Belleville's beloved son's, Frank Morrell.

A Chartered Accountant, Frank was an employee of Revenue Canada and then long time treasurer of the City of Belleville from 1969 - 1996. He was a champion lawn bowler; an avid curler and former president of the Quinte C.C; an original owner and member of Trillium Wood Golf Club.

Long time member of the Rotary Club and member of 418 Wing.

Frank enjoyed good times at the Sandbanks cottage which he shared with family and friends.

Also memorable were motor trips to both coasts of Canada and the U.S.A. for golf and touring as well as many CRUISES.

Father of the late Tony Morrell; Amanda Morrell of Victoria, B.C.; Rosanne Morrell of New Haven Connecticut; Donald McCallum of Hinton, AB; Colleen (Mike) Knowles, and Darcy (Marla) McCallum of Belleville.

Dear brother of Sr. Kathleen Morrell, S.P. of Kingston, ON and Lenore (John) Sheppard of Toronto, ON.

Kind patient Grandpa to Amanda, Kelsey, Naia, Lovena, Jody, Carissa, Nathan, Danielle and grandson Marcel. Proud of 13 GREAT-GRANDS.

Until we meet again Maxine.

Friends are invited to visit at the Burke Funeral Home, Belleville on Monday, June 18th, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. A Mass will be celebrated in St. Michael's The Archangel Roman Catholic Church on Tuesday, June 19th, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. A reception will follow the mass back at the Funeral Home.
