Passed away peacefully while surrounded by his family on Sunday, November 4th, 2012 at the age of 91.
Son of the late Walter and Anne Adams. Beloved husband of the late Annie Adams (nee Tollett). Ever remembered by his daughter Carolyn “Lynne” Goodwin (late William).
Loving grandfather of Kandi Thompson (Dean), and Jarret Goodwin (Donna), and great-grandfather of Matt, Courtney, Patrick, Mitchell, Jamie Lynne, and Abbigail. Predeceased by his brother Frank Adams and his wife Lorne.
Also loved by his nieces and nephews Bob, Sandra, Sharon, Susan, and the late Roy and their families. Fondly remembered by the Tollett family.
In keeping with Alvin’s wishes, there will be no visitation or service. Cremation.

Peacefully at the Oshawa Lakeridge Hospital on November 2, 2012 from multiple causes; she was 84 years old.
Born November 23, 1927 in Sweetsburg, Quebec to Lloyd Parker and Mary Moynan Lewis.
Marjorie was the beloved wife of Leslie Sanderson who predeceased her.
The mother of Brian Sanderson of Oshawa and Heather Sanderson of Calgary; mother-in-law to Nicole Sanderson (Brian) and Len Polsky (Heather); Nana to Leanne (Brian) and Daniel, Katherine and Karen Polsky (Heather) as well as Nicole's son, Shane Carmanico.
She will be missed by her extended family in Quebec, Ontario, Alberta and Phoenix, Arizona.
Cremation has occurred.
A service to remember her will be held in Belleville, Ontario on Tuesday, November 6th.
Marjorie is where she fervently wanted to be - with Leslie, forever.

 It is with profound sadness that the family of Francis (Frank) Sherlock-Hubbard announces his passing October 31, 2012.
Loving Husband of Laila Maxine Sherlock- Hubbard (Morrison) of 66 years. Loving Father to Carol (Bob), Paul, Warren, and Shelagh (Dennis).
Loving Grandfather to Scott (Lorri), Erin (Shawn), Matthew, Andrew, Evan, Nolan Shane, Stephanie (Luke) and Stacie. Loving Great Grandfather to Cayden, Darren, Madison, Owen, Dillon and Reese.
Frank, born April 19th, 1924, had his working career interrupted when he joined the Armed Forces, Regiment #B78017, W.W.2., going overseas to Holland and Italy. After the war, he re-joined the Ontario Ministry of Health as a Micro-Biologist Technician until he retired at age 55.
Frank and Maxine moved to the Peterborough area and built their own home on the 7th Line of Smith, near Lakefield. They enjoyed their summer cottage on Simcoe Island near Kingston, for many years. Frank was involved in the Scouting movement and also enjoyed his bridge games and swimming.
Frank had donated his body to medical research at the University of Toronto to "teach the doctors." A small family celebration of his life was held on Sunday, November 4th.
Frank was a man of integrity, sensitivity and great passion-in all facets of his life. He will be missed by many.

A memorial service will be held for John Richard Newman, age 68, on November 1st at St. Luke's Episcopal Church in Jackson, Tennessee. Arrangements out of Trenton, TN.
Mr. Newman was born on February 16, 1944 in England and moved to Canada at age six. A tool and die maker by trade, John moved to the US with his position with Magna Int. He was a Queen Scout in the Boy Scouts of Canada and spent 10 years in Hastings and Prince Edward Regiment in the Canada Militia. John completed tool and die training at Westcox Peterborough, Ontario, Canada.
He was a draftsman with Outboard Marine, the general manager of several Magna International facilities in Canada, Maryland and Iowa, plant manager of AO Smith in Milan, TN, sales at Karmaster Int., president of Austin Trihawk Automotive in Austin, IN, vice president of Nipon Oil in Childersburg, AL and retired in 2001 as plant manager of ARJ in Jackson. John was Sr. Warden of St. Thomas the Apostle Episcopal Church in Humboldt and chairman of the rebuilding of the Free Will Shelter.
He enjoyed horses, woodworking, traveling, cooking, singing, and spending time with family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents Mary and James Newman. John is survived by his beloved wife Sandra Davis Newman; daughter Krista (Robert) Farnum of Eddyville, IA and son Scott (Shannon) Newman of Amhersburg Ontario Canada; brother, James Newman of Edmonton Alberta Canada; five grandchildren, Scott Jr, Paul, Danielle and Ryan of Canada and Mika of Iowa; two great grandchildren, Mikalah and Aleigha Newman.

PRESTON, Margaret Catherine Alfreda –
Passed away peacefully at the Bridge Street Retirement Residence Belleville on Saturday October 27th, 2012.
Margaret Preston, formerly of Henry Street Belleville, in her 93rd year. Daughter of the late Franklin and Alfreda Orr. Beloved wife of the late Ernest Preston. Dear mother of James Preston (Mary), Robert Preston (Patricia), all of Belleville, and Catherine Cruickshank (late Wayne) of Consecon.
Dear sister of Mrs. Shirley McGee (Doug) of Lindsay. Predeceased by her sisters Evelyn Zebedee, Patricia Cummings, and by her brothers William, Robert, Thomas, and Edward Orr.
Loved by her grandchildren Gary and John Preston, Tracey and Mark Cruickshank, and Bradley and Amy Preston, by her twelve great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild.
A Memorial Service will be held at Christ Church Anglican, 39 Everett Street Belleville, on Friday November 2nd, 2012 at 1:00p.m. with visitation one hour prior to the service (from 12noon to 1:00p.m.). Reverend Michael Rice officiating.
Donations to the C.N.I.B. or to the Canadian Cancer Society, would be appreciated.
