Carmel Perdue, in her 88th year, was the beloved wife of the late Ed Perdue (2012) for 65 years.

Greatly missed by her six sons, six daughters and their partners: Ann and her husband Doug Smith of Lindsay, Leo and his wife Geraldine of Chelmsford, Vince and his wife Lise of Sudbury, Vernon and his wife Diane of Dowling, Gail Cunday of Lindsay, Gary and his wife Evelyn of Oro Station, Garnet and his wife Wendy of Ennismore, Beverly and her husband Wayne Johnson of Lakefield, Karen and her husband Wayne McGinnis, Rosemary and her husband Jim Keir and Stephen and his wife Sandy all of Lindsay and Lynn and her husband Ken Stubbings of Cobourg- and the seventh 'son', Dale O'Neil (nephew) of Lindsay.

She was a loving grandmother to 20 grandchildren; Brenda (Rob), Carol (Noel), Lisa (Keith), Sherry (Deb), Terry (Kim), Christina, Brian, Dan (Sara), David (Peggy), Jamie (Carrie), Alex (Ahad), Bethany, Meghan, Adam, Brad, Tyler, Katie (Dave), Max (Gemma), Gregory and Nicole. A dear great grandmother to 20 and great great grandmother to two. Dear sister of Don Curtin (Ann) and Noreen Ozarko both of Oshawa and of Leo, Bert, Vince, Lorne and Edwin Curtin, predeceased. Sister-in-law of Marie, Thelma and Phyllis Curtin and of Neta O'Neil, predeceased. Carmel was a woman totally dedicated to her family. She was a lifetime resident of the Downeyville community and proud member of St. Luke's Parish.

The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to all friends and neighbours for their ongoing support, with a special thank you to Monsignor Mike Heffernan who has been a dear friend as well as a spiritual leader.

Mass of Christian Burial at St. Luke's Church in Downeyville on Tuesday, September 1st at 11:00 A.M. Interment St. Luke's Cemetery.

Emerson_AnneRetired Nurse, Women’s College Hospital Toronto. She was a potter/painter and extraordinary wife and mother. Taught pottery for many years locally and in Toronto. Member of the Potters' Guild and locally participated in the Scugog Studio Tour and was a well-known local artist.

Peacefully on Wednesday, August 26, 2015 at Caressant Care in Lindsay, at age 97.

Anne (nee Griffith), dearly loved wife of the late Edgar Emerson of Nestleton. Loved mother of Ian (Maura) of Nestleton, Chris of View Lake, Greg (Heather) of Collingwood, and Doug (Tracey) of Toronto.

Loving grandmother of Brick, Jordan, Summer, Erika, Geoff, Brad, Kyle and Alex and great grandmother of Lucas and Joshua.

Anne is survived by her sister Gwyn Griffith and she was predeceased her sister Bona Mary Duncan.

The family of Anne Emerson will receive family and friends at the Wagg Funeral Home, 216 Queen Street in Port Perry, Ontario on Friday, August 28th from 7 - 9 p.m.  A Service to celebrate her life will be held in the Chapel on Saturday, August 29th at 11 a.m. Interment will follow.

Tom was the beloved husband of Rosa Saelen for 60 years.

Loving father of Michael and his wife Jeanne d’Arc Crowe, Catherine Crowe, Shawn and and his wife Cheryl Crowe and Angela Crowe. Cherished grandfather of Matthew and his wife Shannon, Kyle, Kieren, Cody, Rachel and Anastasia and one great grandson Quincy. Dear brother of Sean (Eileen), Bill (Maura), Gerry, Mary Hakola (Vern) and brother in law to Sybil and Marcel Nolf.

Predeceased by his brother Jim sisters Bridget and her husband Bill Taylor, Anne and her husband Craig Marks, sister in law Cecila Nolf and brother in law Roger Saelen and his wife Marilyn. Fondly remembered by his many nieces and nephews.

Loved by 3 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild and 3 step-grandchildren and 5 step-great grandchildren.

Dear brother of Kay Hovdebo and her husband Stan of Saskatchewan and Mike Langridge and his wife Marjorie of Newfoundland and brother-in-law of Kathleen and Denis Cummins of Tobermory and Les and Sylvia Morris of Bobcaygen.

Predeceased by his wife Joan (nee Sturgess) (pre 1992) and sister Dorothy Fletcher.

Karleen Ferguson of Cameron, in her 77th year. After a courageous battle with cancer, passed away peacefully on Sunday August 23, 2015 at Adelaide Place, Lindsay, surrounded by the love of her family.

Beloved wife of Kenneth Ferguson for 49 years.

Dedicated to her community, church and her family, Karleen's greatest devotion and pride was in raising her four children, and in the joy of being a grandmother. Forever loved and missed by her children: Alan Ferguson (Karen Peregrine) of Queensville; Jennifer (Tim Teefy) of Lindsay; Joan (Andrew Larmer) of Millbrook; and Ian Ferguson of Mount Albert.

Karleen cherished every moment she had with her eight grandchildren: Cameron & Stephanie Ferguson; Charleigh, Kobe, Angus and Zebediah Teefy; and Avery & Emersyn Larmer. Dear sister-in-law of Gordon & Nancy Ferguson of Cameron, Catherine & Bill Campbell of Lindsay, and Clarke Miller of London. Lovingly remembered by her nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude and appreciation to the staff of Adelaide Place, for providing Mom with such wonderful and compassionate care; to the staff at Durham Region Cancer Centre and to Dr. Gregory Lo, Dr. Bruce Allin, and Dr. Maria Cescon. We would also like to thank Donna, a Hospice volunteer who visited Mom every week for the last two-and-a-half years, providing her with immeasurable friendship and comfort as she faced the challenges of cancer.

A gathering of friends and family will take at Fenelon Falls United Church (Lower Hall), 123 Colborne St, Fenelon Falls, Ontario on Saturday August 29, 2015 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Private family funeral and Interment.

Norma will be sadly missed by her children Susan (Doug), Ralph (Carolyn), Gordon (Carole), Linda (Randy), Mary (Jim), Diane (Ken, predeceased August 17, 2015), step-son Kirk and her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Norma will also be remembered by her in-laws in Newfoundland.

The family would like to thank the wonderful PSWs who cared for Norma while she was at home and the nurses at PRHC Palliative Care. Heartfelt thanks to Dr. Whiting for the compassion and care she provided to Norma.

The beloved lifelong partner of the late Joyce Carslake.

Lovingly remembered by his children April Spoorenberg (deceased), Cindy Spoorenberg, Laurie Girard (Roger) and Bill (Fay). Will be missed by his grandchildren, great- grandchildren, nieces, nephews and extended families.

Bill was an avid golfer, spending many days out on the greens and later his years refining his craft of quilting with Joyce. The family would like to thank Sandra (PSW) and granddaughter Samantha for their care and compassion shown to Bill for the past 8 months.

Sadly missed by his grandchildren Stefanie, Matthew, Katie, Amy Heilman (Elliott), Sarah Powell (Anthony), Laura Hussey (Brad), Terri Lynn Wilson (Chris), Mark, and Michael. Dear great grandfather to Anna, Liam, Luke, James, Levi, Charlotte, Ayla, Kayla, and Ashley.

Survived by his sisters, Rita Perdue and Shirley Pacey of Bobcaygeon and sister-in-law Genevieve of Nova Scotia. Predeceased by his parents, John Daniel and Florence (O’Neill) McLaughlin, brother Leo (2004), sister Lillian Deveau (2008), brother-in-law Gerald Deveau (2015), and brother-in-law Kevin Perdue (2010).

Frank will be missed by his many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Funeral Mass at St. Luke the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, Downeyville on Thursday, August 20, 2015 at 11:00AM.

In memory of Frank, in lieu of flowers, donations to St. Luke’s Parish Hall Restoration Fund or St. Vincent-de-Paul’s Society would be appreciated by the family.

Parkin_OlivePassed away peacefully on August 13, 2015, in her 97th year.

Beloved wife of the late John Worsley and Roy Parkin.

Loved mother of Gary Parkin (Shirley), Paul Parkin (Vivian), Vaughan Parkin (Kim).

Loving grandmother of ten grandchildren, and of many great grandchildren.

 Olive will be missed by many nieces and nephews.
