Dear grandmother of Tracy (Mrs. Brad Gauthier) of Barrie, Todd (Jesse) O'Neill of Cowan's Bay and Troy (Sandy) O'Neill of Charlore Park. Loving great grandmother of Tristan, Rachel, Elliot and Pheonix.

Fondly remembered by her extended family in New Brunswick.

Beloved friend and partner of Grace (Bonnie) Brittain. Father of Lawrence (Wendy) Wright of Janetville and Marilyn Wright (Jim) of Peterborough.

Grandfather of Jennifer (Toby) Newell of Janetville, and Kristie Wright of Janetville. Great-Grandfather of Emerson. He will be missed by his many friends and relatives.

Vern was a long time employee of GM and Volunteer Firefighter of the City of Kawartha Lakes (Janetville Division).

Thanks to the staff at Ross Memorial Hospital for the excellent care and a special thanks to those in the Palliative Care Unit.

Funeral Service will be held in Lindsay, on Saturday, April 26th. Interment.

Loving grandmother of Stacy (Colin) Shepherd, Dayna (Mark) Allen, Mike (Vanessa) MacKenzie, Robert (Sara) Murray, Lizzie (Mike) Pontarelli, Melissa (Daniel) Marks, Kyle (Jennifer) MacKenzie and eight great grandchildren. Survived by her brothers Bernard Seifried and Frank Seifried.

Will proudly served in the Merchant Navy, worked at General Motors Oshawa for over 30 years and was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Br. 497.

A Celebration of Will's Life will be held at the McEACHNIE FUNERAL HOME, 28 Old Kingston Rd., Ajax (905-428-8488) on Friday, April 25 at 10:30 am, with visiting one hour prior  from 9:30 - 10:30 am.

Loved grandmother of 18 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. Dear sister of the late Rhoda Ewen (Harvey), Austin Thaxter (Gladys), Howard Thaxter (Bernice), Dora Reeve (Walter), Pearl Jarvis (Willis) and Marie Thaxter.

Dear sister of Bonnie Staples (Don), David Siddle, Tim Siddle (Annette), and the late James Siddle and sister in law of Wayne Bouch, Kim O'Brien (Dan), Valerie Gourlay (Doug) and the late Gord Bouch. Carol will be sadly missed by her nieces, nephews, her great nephew and many other relatives and friends.

Daughter of the late Gwen and Gerry Pearson of Toronto.  

She is survived by her beloved husband Peter Michaluk of Bobcaygeon.  

Sister to Robert Pearson (Carol) of Alliston. Cherished aunt to Janice (Boyd) Taylor of Oakville and their children Joseph, Benjamin and Samantha, Bobby (Michele) Pearson and their children Phillippe, Victor and Ariana and Gary (Neli) Pearson and their daughters Rachel and Emily.  

One of Sally’s favourite pastimes was to spend time at the family cottage in Georgian Bay. While living in Bobcaygeon, Sally was an active member of the community and enjoyed being a member at the Bobcaygeon Curling Club and burning up the microphone at the Bobcaygeon Legion singing Karaoke.

A Memorial Service will be held in Bobcaygeon on Sunday, April 27th.

Her heart sore family is grateful for every day with Meghan and for the grace of a quiet ending to her courageous life.

She was the precious daughter of Dan and Kim. Special sister of Bridgid (Jake) and Michael. Lovingly remembered by her grandma Helen Bouch of Alberta. Treasured niece of Maureen O’Brien, Paula (Ron) Williams, Kelly O’Brien (Al Middleton), Joe (Carol) Bouch, Wayne Bouch and Val (Doug) Gourlay.  Fondly remembered by her many cousins.

Her entire family is so proud of Meghan for living with such determination and Joie de Vivre in the face of congenital heart disease and will be eternally grateful that by the grace of God even heart disease could not eradicate her quirky wit and soulful beauty.

MOON, William Allen 'Bill' -

Passed away surrounded by love on Saturday, April 12, 2014. Bill was the husband and best friend of Sarah Jean Gardiner of Burnt River, ON. 

After a tough battle with kidney disease, Bill’s life ended in much the same way he lived it – fearlessly, painfully and with the strong heart of a lion. 

His “larger than life” presence will be missed and mourned by his children; Stephane Moon of Smith Falls, ON, Amanda Moon of Gatineau, QUE and Zachary and Jennifer Moon of Lindsay, ON.

Bill will be missed in the years that come by his grandchildren Hailie, Samantha, Vanessa, Cody, Dylan, Emma, Sophia and Max.  Predeceased by granddaughter Brianna (2006).

Bill (or B.J. as his family called him) is survived by his mother Beverly Martin (Steve) of Nanaimo, BC and his father Bill Moon Sr. (Louise) of Red Water, AB.  He is mourned by his brother James Orser (Gloria) of Kingston, ON and sisters Joanne Brewer (Rod) of Edmonton, AB and Shandra Huard (Lionel) of Nanaimo, BC.

Bill will be missed by the many members of Sarah’s family who grew to know and love him – Les Gardiner, Dale and Lewis Jackson, April and Daniel Parfit, Melissa and Matthew Marr.  He is remembered by many nieces, nephews and his step brothers Joe and John Orser of Trenton, ON.

And last but not least Bill's absence is keenly felt by his “best dog ever” Lucy. 

A Memorial Reception will be held in Lindsay, on Saturday, April 26th.

Nan, loved wife of the late Doug Bowie.

Loved mother of Karen McAleese and her husband Stephen, and Stewart and his wife Laura.

Loving grandmother of Samantha, Jessica, Taryn, Dale and three great-grandchildren.

A Celebration of Nan’s Life will be held at the MORRIS FUNERAL CHAPEL, 4 Division Street, Bowmanville on Wednesday, April 16th at 1 p.m., officiated by Reverend David Chisling.

Cremation at Bowmanville Crematorium.


Donations made in Nan’s memory to T.A.G.S. (The Animal Guardian Society) would be gratefully appreciated.

She is loved and will also be missed by her many nieces, nephews and friends.

Allan was a letter carrier with Canada Post and an avid sportsman. He enjoyed hockey, baseball and the outdoors.

A Private Graveside Service will be held in the Spring.

It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden death of James Michael (Jim) Flaherty on Thursday, April 10, 2014, at the age of 64.

Jim was the loving husband of Christine Elliott and a proud father of their triplet sons John, Galen and Quinn Flaherty.

He will be lovingly remembered by his brothers and sisters: David, Ted, Ann Gilmartin (Frank), Gerry, Patrick (Sylvie Lepage), Norah (Bob Levy) and Mary, and many nieces and nephews and extended family members.

Visitation will take place at ABILITIES CENTRE, 55 Gordon Street, Whitby ON, on Tuesday April 15th from 12:30 - 4:00pm and 6:30 - 8:00pm.

The funeral service will be held at St. James Cathedral, located at 65 Church Street, Toronto on Wednesday, April 16th at 3:00pm.

Dear sister of Mary Steenburg of Edmonton, Alberta, Catherine (Mrs. Lloyd Davies) of Lindsay, Donna Carley of Lindsay, Robert Dillman and his wife Phyllis of Wasaga Beach and predeceased by her sisters Agnes Barker, Jean McCaffery, Ona Lowes, Barbara Crack and Joyce Taylor.

Dear sister-in-law of Larry Crack of Sault St. Marie and predeceased by her brothers-in-law Bill Barker, Jim McCaffery, Don Steenburg, Wally Lowes, Stan Carley and Lorne Taylor. Fondly remembered by her many nieces and nephews.

It is with great sadness in our heart, that we announce the peaceful passing of Marion at Ross Memorial Hospital, Lindsay on Thursday, April 10, 2014 at the age of 81.

Marion is predeceased by her beloved husband John of 55 years.

Dear mother of Jim (Darlene). She is survived by 3 sisters, Ellen (John) Dennis, Alice West, Franne Henderson and many treasured nieces and nephews.

Marion is predeceased by her mother Alice Margaret Lyon Packer and father James Frank Packer, sister Vesta Dukelow, brother Tom Packer and brother-in-law James West.

We would like to thank all of Caressant Care and Ross Memorial Hospital staff or the exceptional care and also the support from friends and family.

The funeral service will be held at Beacan Presbyterian Church, 413 Simcoe Street, Beaverton on Tuesday, April 15th at 1 P.M. Interment Stone Church Cemetery, Beaverton.
