In his 83rd year, passed away peacefully at the Ross Memorial Hospital, Lindsay.

Huff Mary AnnHUFF, Mary Ann (Vanderburg) - (October 14, 1948 - June 26, 2017) - 

Mary Ann Vanderburg was born in Holland and came to Canada as a toddler with her parents and brothers. They settled in Lindsay, Ontario where she lived the rest of her life.

She learned the value and love of family through her parents and five brothers, close cousins and friends. She moved through school (St. Mary’s and LCVI) and into a working life at Lindsay Hydro and Fleming College.

In 1968, she met Tom Huff, a young teacher from Picton, Ontario, for whom she shared the importance of family and friendship. Together they cultivated their interests, through travel and parties, camping, walking and being with those they loved. In 1972 their daughter Tanya entered their life, and in 1974 their son Jamie. Now they had the joy of sharing their love with their children.

McCormick PeterMcCORMICK, Peter Kenneth - Surrounded by family, as Johnny Cash played, (Retired CPO2) Peter Kenneth McCormick of Irondale, comfortably passed away at Highland Wood on Friday, June 23, 2017 in his 72nd year.

Peter was born in Medicine Hat, Alberta on March 19, 1946 to Ken and Ann McCormick. He was the adored older brother of Susan, Sheila, Debbie, Jeanette and Alison. He was their protector and hero.

When he was 17 he joined the Navy and proudly served his country for nearly 30 years. He was a Prairie kid sailing the Seven Seas. At 45 he suffered a sudden and debilitating illness. Despite losing most of his memories and abilities, he never lost his sense of humour and always wanted to make people laugh.

Andy was born January 6, 1933 in Cookstown, Northern Ireland. He immigrated to Canada in 1954 and settled in London ON. Andy retired from Labatt Breweries, London. For many years his “spare time” was spent as owner/driver/trainer of Standardbred horses.

He is survived by Laura, his loving wife of 17 years. He is also survived by his daughter Ann (Matt), son Tony(Dolly); Granddaughters Nicole (Andrew), Krista (Chris), Wendy (Anthony), and 5 Great Grandchildren, Brooklyn, Caitlin,  Alessandra, Ava and William.

Ralph was the cherished husband and very best friend of Kathryn (Kate, née Bryan) and devoted father of Erin, John (Jack) and Peter. He will be remembered fondly by his parents, mother-in-law, siblings, brothers- and sisters-in-law, as well as his many nieces and nephews and their families.

Ralph will be deeply missed by his colleagues and students at Lindsay Collegiate Vocational Institute where he had enjoyed teaching and coaching since 1991.
