Meurling DollyMEURLING, Annie Gladys Elaine 'Dolly', R.N. - Peacefully at Kingston General Hospital on Friday, May 26, 2017, after a brief illness.

Annie Gladys Elaine (affectionately known as Dolly), was born in 1925 to Ralph Louis Wilson and Gladys Wiggins and eldest sister of Jim, Gertie and Jean. Mumma was raised in Fredericton, New Brunswick where she trained as a nurse at Victoria Public Hospital and met and married Alric Meurling.

Their life was full of love and laughter and saw the foundation of a family dynasty with five children: Mary Ellen MacLean (Brian), Catherine Farrell, Janice DeBoer (Dirk), John (Susan), and Sara (Ted Kaiser) followed by 13 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

 

Hanley JoyceHANLEY, Joyce Hilda - (March 22, 1922 - May 26, 2017) - A Life Well Lived.

Mom was well loved by all who knew her. She always had a positive outlook on life and a way of making all those around her feel cherished.

Born in Toronto, she lived there and then in Weston with her husband Ted (Edward), and raised their family of six sons. In 1988, they moved to Amherstview (Kingston) Ontario where they enjoyed retirement at a quieter pace, spending a large part of winter in Panama City Beach or Myrtle Beach, which was one of Mom's favourite places.

Beloved wife of the late Harold Row. Loving mother of Tom (Laurie) and Andrew (Lise) Row. Cherished grandmother of Courtney (Ajay) Eberhardt, and Ryan and Jenna Row; and great grandmother of Aubree and Hudson Eberhardt.

Dear sister of Margaret Harper and the late Henry and Douglas Harper and Rose Gibson. Dear daughter of the late Thomas and Helen (Funnell) Harper. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.

 

Whalen WalterWHALEN, Walter - Peacefully passed away Thursday May 25, 2017.

Walt was born April 3, 1934, in Tweed ON, and was the ninth of ten born to Bridget (McGrath) Whalen and Willie Whalen.

He was the dedicated husband to the late Mary (Walsh) Whalen for over 50 years; Proud Dad of Steve, Shirley (Angelo), Mary Beth (Craig), Kathy, and the late Karen.

Walt was the much loved papa of seven grandchildren: Liam, Erin, Devon, Brendan, Alex, Meagan, and the late Bradley.

Beloved husband of the late Jean Crouse (nee Lasher). Loving father of Brian (Laura Jackson) of Trenton, Larry (Dianne) of Millbrook, Dwayne (Laura Perry) of Napanee, James (Mary) of Oshawa, Kathy Morris (Adam Hanna) of Napanee.

He will be missed by his grandchildren Denise Crouse, Jeff Crouse, Brad Crouse, Ashley Crouse and Madison Morris and his great-grandchildren Alyssa, Ryker and Nathan.

 

Gummer PamelaGUMMER, Pamela Ann - (February 18th, 1957 – May 24th, 2017) -

Pam was the first of three children born and raised by the late Audrey (Van Dusen) and Robert K. Crawford of Ottawa.

After the family moved to Prescott, Pam attended Central Public School where she developed a passion for Track and Field, excelling in the speed events. Pam could outrun most, but late in her adolescent life she was caught by a young man. He, a few years her senior, Richard Gummer. Unbeknown to the young couple, an eternal love affair had begun.

Dear brother-in-law of Carol Goodman of Napanee, Glenn (Cathy) Goodman of Napanee and Janet (Bill) Chambers of Napanee. He will be remembered by his nieces Laura, Sarah and Beth.

Croxall DonCROXALL, Donald Ralph - (September 8, 1930 - May 24th, 2017) -

Don peacefully left his loving family and went into the presence of his Lord on Wednesday May 24th, 2017.

Don was the beloved husband and best friend for 56 years to Rose (nee Branscombe), and the late Elsie (Caswell) who passed away in 1960.

He will be greatly missed by his children; Donna and Jeff Pickard (Calgary), Kevin and Selena Croxall (Barrie), and Kim and Brad Campbell (Kingston).

 

EDMUNDS, Carol Anne - Suddenly at home on Tuesday, May 23, 2017 at the age of 70.

Loving wife of Douglas James Edmunds.

Loving sister of Linda Norris (Winston), Brenda Sargeant (John). Survived by sisters-in-law Dorothy King, Mary Edmunds. Predeceased by her brothers-in-law Allan Edmunds, and John King. She will be fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews.

Carol trained and spent her whole career at the Kingston Psychiatric Hospital as a Registered Nurse.

Loving wife of 65 years to the late Ronald Edgar (2008) and proud and much loved mother to Ron (Shirley), grandmother of Christi, Scott (Lisa), great-grandmother of Roark, Dagny and Rayn.

Loving Aunt to Margaret Key (Mike), Martha Ackerman (John) and Jim Shields and great aunt to Ted Key (Meaghan) and Robin Key (Kris Davis). Hazel will be dearly missed by her extended family. She was predeceased by her brother Jim Shields.

She is the dearly loved wife of 68 years to Dr. Edmund Yendt (deceased), mother of John Edmund, Jane Elizabeth "Lizzi" (Andrew), and Cynthia Ann "Cindy", grandmother of Phillip (Virginia), Finley & Griffin and great-grandmother of Zinnia and Zander, all of whom she loved dearly.

Predeceased by brother Joe (Marge) and sister Irene “Enie”.

Predeceased by her parents Garnet and Germaine Andrews, and her Sister Cheryl Froats. Survived by her loving and devoted husband Percy of 52 years, sons Deryk (Ai Ming) and Timothy (Debbie), grandsons Nathan and Nolan, and her sister Charline.

Charmaine was a graduate of Peterborough Teachers College and taught primary grades in the Catholic School system at Kingston and Ottawa.
