It is with a heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Pop.
On April 9, 2018 he passed suddenly and peacefully while working outside, which was what he loved best.
Devoted husband to Shirley (Marie) who passed away last fall after close to 58 years of marriage, he was also a loving father, grandfather, brother and friend.
His quiet sense of humour will be greatly missed.
Born in Kingston, Ontario, he never strayed too far from his local roots.
Bob was a fixture at the Lake's School Bus company in Odessa for a number of years where he thrived working in the garage.
In later years, he enjoyed working at Trent Pharmaceutical Distributors in Kingston.
He was humble, considerate, thrifty, had a sweet tooth and knew how to fix just about anything.
His favourite things included his garage, working on the woodpile, watching the game, Old-Tyme country music, camping, hunting and fishing.
The family would like to thank Dr. Kenneth Pritchard, Dr. Alberto Neder, the Kingston Heart Clinic, and the caring staff at the FreshCo pharmacy.
A joint memorial service and time of rememberance for Bob and Marie will be held on Saturday 21 April 2018 at Gordon F. Tompkins Funeral Home, 435 Davis Drive at 12:00. A private interment service will be held later.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the University Hospitals Kingston Foundation's Cardiac Rehab.
