September 12, 1952 - September 10, 2011

Taken from us at the age of 58, she passed peacefully at Southlake Regional Health Centre, Newmarket, Ontario at approximately 3:20 p.m., Saturday, September 10, 2011 after a year long battle with cancer.

She is at peace now and her suffering is ended, no more pain and sorrow. She was loved by: her husband John Dawson, son John David Dawson, daughter Catherine Mary Dawson, daughter-in-law Glynnis Hope Dawson and grandson John Paul Dawson, father George Pyke and mother the late Agatha Pyke (Murphy), brother the late Colin Pyke, sisters Debbie Dodge (Pyke), Joanne Pyke and nephew Colin Dodge. Her aunts, uncles and cousins here, in Nova Scotia and throughout Canada. Her many friends and colleagues and her second family the Augustinian Order.

No words can express the loss we feel and it will never go away. We have in her place fond and warm memories of the best, most loving, wife, mother and friend anyone could ask for. A kind and gentle soul, whose beautiful eyes did all the talking. We love you Mary and will miss you until the day we come to join you in our Father's house. Her family wishes to thank everyone who showed so much care, compassion and concern for Mary through her illness and everyone who was close to her throughout her life.

Friends will be received at the THOMPSON FUNERAL HOME, 530 Industrial Parkway South, Aurora (905-727-5421) on Thursday, September 15, 2011 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m.

A funeral mass will take place Friday, September 16, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. from Our Lady Of Grace Roman Catholic Church (15347 Yonge Street, Aurora).

Mary will be laid to rest at the Holy Cross Cemetery.
