POZZEBON, Merete (née Jensen) -

Grandmother, Mother, Daughter and Registered Nurse. Born on April 30, 1952, in Copenhagen, Denmark; passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on January 25, 2015, in St. Catharines, ON.

Merete was a devoted caregiver and touched the lives of many families through her work as an RN in the NHS and the Community Care program. She proved to be a true Viking, with an independent spirit, strong loyalty to family and joy of water with her vacation home at Sand Lake in Kearney, ON.

Her greatest joys were her three sons, Robert (Erin), Richard (Alicia), and Michael (Jamie), whom she lovingly devoted her life to raising.

Predeceased by her father Aage, she is survived by her mother, Anna, and three siblings, Elsabeth, Marianne (Bob), George (Lynne) and their families, and was the extremely proud grandmother to Benjamin, Zachary, Hadleigh and Christian.

The Pozzebon (née Jensen) family welcomes friends to join them in a Celebration of Life on Saturday, January 31, from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the Stone Mill Inn banquet facilities (above Johnny Rocco’s Restaurant) at 271 Merrit Street, St. Catharines, ON. In lieu of flowers, Merete asked that a donation be made to Make-A-Wish Canada.
