Loving mother of James (Jennie), Gary (Susan) and the late Robert. Dear grandmother of six and great grandmother of eight.

Survived by sister Joyce Yarr, brother Norman (Joyce) and sister in-law Helen Smith. Predeceased by sisters Betty (Tom) McDonald, Catharine (Peter) Damude, brothers William, Don (Joan) and brother-in-law Bill Yarr. Ruth will be sadly missed by several nieces and nephews.

She was a member of Royal Candian Legion Branch 17 Ladies Auxiliary.

Funeral Service will be held in Thorold on Wednesday, September 17th. Cremation to follow.

Loving husband of Lynn (Chambers) for 23 years. Dear father of David (Yvonne), Janet (Dave), Robert (Wanda) and Cheryl (Cameron). Proud grandfather of Ryan, Brayden, Hayden, Steven, Tyler, Courtney and Mackenzie.

Warren will be missed by his brother George (Cheryl), sister-in-law Pam, brothers-in-law Dennis (Sharon), Glenn (Tracey), many nieces, nephews and friends.

Warren retired from the Ford Glass Plant in 1992 and was an avid trap shooter.

Special thanks to Dr. Ricciardi and the staff at the NOTL Hospital for their excellent care and support.

Cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held in Niagara Falls on Saturday.

Robertson_GraceIt is with profound sadness that her children announce the passing of their loving mother Grace Roberston. Peacefully, surrounded by her family, she passed away on Sunday, September 14, 2014.

Predeceased by her husbands Andy Bosak and Dick Roberston and her beloved daughter Betty Jane with whom she will be reunited with in Heaven.

She will be deeply mourned by her son Andy Bosak and wife Aurea, daughter Marlene Milks and husband Gordon and son Richard Bosak and wife Maryanne. Her two grandsons, Chris and Greg were the love of her life.

She will be deeply missed by sister Betty Infantino, brother George Kuzler, niece Karen Powell and nephew Steven Kuzler.

Grace was truly a one of a kind mother and friend who brought people together in love and caring. She recently celebrated her 90th birthday and marched on with a keen mind and strong spirit. She enjoyed being a volunteer at the Wellness Centre. She was constantly on the go. There was no slowing her down, even as she approached 90. She was so blessed to be loved and respected by so many family and friends. She will be sadly missed.

The Funeral Mass will be held at the Parish Community of St. Kevin, 303 Niagara Street, Welland on Wednesday at 1 p.m. Cremation will follow and a private Rite of Committal will be held at a later date.

James was a Detective Constable with the Niagara Regional Police Force for 35 years, retiring in 2005.

Loving and cherished Aunt of Harold Spence (late Monique - deceased February, 2013), Len Spence (Brenda), Bob Spence (Cathy), Lorry Clark (Stephen) and Nancy Taylor (late Ron Hewitt - deceased July, 2013). Predeceased by her niece Lillie Spence - March, 2011.

She also leaves behind great nieces and nephews, Cynthia (Theodori), Suzy (Paul), Sean (Kristen), Michelle (Jason), Jeff (Carrie), Greg (Brande) and Kim as well as her great-great nieces and nephews, Cameron, Jordan, Brock, Kate, Jacob and Alexander. Great Aunti Lil will be fondly remembered by Raymond Galletti and Rodney Galletti and his family. Gayle Schaming and her family will miss "Aunt Lil" as well.

Lilian was born and raised in Vancouver, B.C. and spent many wonderful years serving her Lord as an officer of The Salvation Army in Indonesia, Bermuda and in Canada. After serving 40 years on the mission fields, she settled in B.C., eventually moving to Grimsby, Ontario to be near Mary and her children.

A special thank you to everyone at Albright Manor for keeping her safe and watching over her, you are truly guardian angels. Aunt Lil had many friends that made her days full and enjoyable, thank you so much for the telephone calls, notes and countless visits.

Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Lilian's life will be held at Trinity United Church, 100 Main Street West, Grimsby, on Monday, September 22nd at 2 p.m. with visitation one hour prior to the service.

Cherished grandfather of Ian (Anne), Matthew, Janice (Mike), Lisa (Colin), Sarah (Larry), Charlene (Peter), Erin (Dan), Jordan and Peter and great-grandfather of Alexia, Eliana, Isabella and Evan.

Predeceased by his parents Heliodore and Roseanna Barbe and six brothers and sisters.

Hector served overseas during WWII with the Royal Canadian Air Force, 433 Squadron earning 5 medals, 2 pins and 2 bars. Following the war, he worked at Canada Customs until 1958 when he joined CUMIS retiring as Vice President in 1988. He was a very active member of St. Kevin’s Church.

The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at The Parish Community of St. Kevin, Welland on Saturday, September 20th at 10:00 a.m. Rite of Committal will follow.

Survived by son Jack Chapman (Marlene) of Ridgeway. Grandmother of Janet (Mike) Salazar, California, Robert (Denise) Chapman, Brampton, Mark (Stephanie) Chapman, Pennsylvania, John (Diane) Chapman, Mississauga and Also survived by 7 great grandchildren, 5 great-great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Lena had a great sense of humour, she was a very happy person, joyful and positive spirit who enjoyed and cherished everyone she met and treated them as family.

A big thanks goes to the Nurses and staff on all shifts for their dedication, love, and tender Kindness to Lena all through her stay and mostly at the end of her life. Thanks for the Honor Guard at Gilmore Lodge it was so meaningful and Lena would have got a kick out of it.

Memorial visitation and a time of fellowship will be held in Ridgeway on Saturday, September 20th.

Loving father of Maria (Vito) Sinopoli, of Toronto, Angelo, of Thorold, Michael (Arlene), of Florida, Reno (Cindy), of Oakville, Jerry (Janine) of Niagara Falls. Beloved Nonno of Angela (David), Robert, Christina, Rachel (Jose), Matthew, Isabella, John, Nicole and great-grandson Austin.

John is survived by his sister in Italy, Nestina. Dear brother-in-law of Giovanna, Letiza, Felice (Maria) Biancaniello, Ralph (Ida) Biancaniello, Emilia (Amato) Prudente. Predeceased by his brother Antonio De Mita, sister Stella, of Italy, Amato Biancaniello, Tony Biancaniello. John will be remembered by many nieces, nephews and friends.

John immigrated to Canada in 1956 with his wife and two children. John was an autobody mechanic, he also worked at General Motors retiring in 1987. He had a passion for carpentry, and enjoyed building cabinets and armoires for his family.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Alfred's Church, 272 Vine St., St. Catharines on Tuesday, September 16th at 11:00 a.m., with entombment to follow the service.

In his 90th year, of Port Colborne, passed away peacefully with his dear sister Noreen and family by his side on Friday, September 12, 2014 at the Woolcott Extended Care Wing of the WCGH.

Gord was predeceased by his beloved wife Theda (Pettifer) in 1999, his father Joseph (1972) and his mother Rebecca (Kennedy) (1946), and by his brothers Verdun Leroy (1918), Joseph (1984) and Howard (1989).

He is survived by his sisters Kathleen Reid of Lake City, Minnesota and Noreen Lannan of Port Colborne and his brother Douglas and his wife Mary of Port Colborne, and affectionately known as “Unc” by his several nieces and nephews Tom (Carmen) Lannan, Joe (Brenda) Lannan, Gord (Chris) Lannan, Bill (Terri) Lannan, Howard (Linda) Reid, Bill Reid, Sue (Jim) Conway, Judi (Joe) Hensel, Jeff (Shelley) Hart, Patti Lyne and several great and great great nieces and nephews.

Gord was born on Humboldt Parkway in the Village of Humberstone and was an electrician by trade employed by the Maple Leaf Mills for 45 years where he retired in 1985. Gord was a proud veteran of World War II for four years, serving overseas with the 2nd Canadian Division, Royal Highland Regiment, 5th Brigade of the Black Watch where he saw action at Caen, Verrières Ridge, Falaise Gap, Nijmegen, Arnhem, Battle of the Scheldt, Antwerp and The Ardennes.

Gord was a member of St. James and St. Brendan’s Anglican Church and the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 56 for 60 years. His hobbies were fishing, golf, hunting, gardening and attending his nephews' and nieces' sporting events.

As per Gord’s wishes there is no visitation and cremation has taken place. Funeral service will be held in Port Colborne on Wednesday, September 17th, with interment of ashes to follow.

It was Uncle Gord’s wishes that memorial donations be made to Port Colborne Minor Hockey Assc. Inc. for under-privileged children, and would be appreciated.

The family would like to thank Dr. D. Rivers and his staff for their years of care, to Dr. P. Fernandez, to the staff at the Woolcott Wing for their kind professionalism and care, to P.S.W.’s Ashley, Natalie and Tonia.

She was born in The Nederlands in 1919, immigrating to Canada in 1951 with her husband Cornelis (deceased in 1963) and children.

Ria is survived by her children Lucy Rietveld Bowers, Casey (Helen) Rietveld, Johanna (Peter) Maiolo, Dorothy (Rick) Courneya, eleven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren, her brother Wouter Swaap and many nieces and nephews in The Nederlands and was predeceased by her brother Jacques Swaap.

Ria was a role model to all of her family and many friends. She loved travel, Scrabble, cards games and was an avid reader right to the end.

Ria's family thanks the staff of CCAC and Hospice Niagara for their tender and caring ways during Ria's very short final journey.

Cherished Nonno of Katryna and Anthony Sacco, Celeste and Natalie White, Anthony Di Biasi, Sidrah and Aaliyah Mushtaque, and Kayla and Matteo Siconolfi. Dear brother of Rosa Celetti, brother-in-law of Angela Rosa Di Pietro of Prato, Italy, John Mauro, and Frank (Catarina) Mauro.

Predeceased by his first wife Giuseppina (1986), brothers-in-law, Rocco (Di Pietro), Angelo Celetti and sister-in-law Rosa Mauro. 'Uncle Charlie' will be sadly missed by his many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Angelo immigrated to Canada in 1961 from Bisaccia, Avellino, Italy, was an employee of the City of St. Catharines for 32 years, and a member of Club Roma.

The family wishes to thank Dr. John Taliano, Dr. Radhika Yelamanchili and visiting RN Darlene Tice, for their dedication to Angelo’s care.

It is with great sorrow that the family of Annette Foley announces her sudden but peaceful death at the NHS - St. Catharines Site with her loving family by her side, on September 11, 2014, in her 80th year.

Annette was predeceased by her beloved husband and friend, Mike.

Mom leaves behind her devoted children, Karen Moriello (Frank), and Kevin (Dana). Also mourning her death is her loving sister, Rita Birney; and her grandchildren Frankie (Ashley), Michael, Cameron, and Alexandria. Annette is survived by sister in law, Sheila Pigeon; and brother in law, Terry (Maryann) Foley. She will be missed by many loving nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by her parents, Amie and Agnes Pigeon and her in-laws, Jeremiah and Geraldine Foley. Also predeceased by brothers and sisters in law, Omer and Blanche Pigeon, Simone and Morris Abrams, Yvonne and Laurence Sweeney, Armand Pigeon, Clarence Birney and Mary Foley.

Annette was a devoted mother, grandmother, and sister. In the past, Annette enjoyed managing Avondale store #55 in Thorold and had an earlier career working at Columbus McKinnon in St. Catharines. When she wasn't doting on her grandchildren, Annette loved her trips to the casino with her sister Rita, and watching her favourite sports teams, the Toronto Blue Jays and Toronto Maple Leafs.

Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held in St. Catharines on Wednesday, September 17th.

Retired from Dufferin Peel Catholic School Board as a secretary with over 30 years service and very committed to her faith. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends, always being in their thoughts and prayers. Her love and strength will comfort and inspire everyone she has touched throughout her life.

Passed away peacefully at the Douglas Memorial Hospital on September 11th, 2014 in her 80th year.

Beloved wife of the late Gordon.

Sadly missed by her children, Paul (Susan) and Kimberly Putney and their families. Cherished friend and companion of Patrick Ryan. Always in the heart of Tammy Brooks who she loved as a daughter.

Fondly remembered by the other members of the "Thursday Night Social Committee."

Davina was employed by Horton CBI but is better known as the hostess at the Prince of Wales dining room at the Fort Erie Racetrack. She and Gord owned and operated Sunset Golf Course for 39 years as well as Gilmore Storage and Putney Sales and Rentals.

Arrangements out of Fort Erie. Family and friends are invited to attend a graveside service to celebrate Davina's life on Wednesday, September 17th at 1 o'clock at Greenwood Cemetery.

Marjorie was a longtime member of St. John's Anglican Church, Royal Canadian Legion Branch 17 Ladies Auxiliary and Canadian Corps Unit #44 Ladies Auxiliary and the Moose Lodge.

A beautiful, faithful life has ended its journey here with us, and has begun a new life, home in Heaven. God must have great plans for her to call His Angel back.

Frances passed away on Wednesday, September 10, 2014, at Hospice Niagara, at the age of 64.

Beloved wife of Chris for 44 years. Loving mother of Charlene (Chris) Little, Christiaan (Jenn), Valerie (Craig Stratychuk) and cherished Oma of Christiaan J, Rylee and Christene. Frances will always be treasured by her brothers and sisters, Toni, Fred (Nadine), Lucy (Tom), Vern, Joanne (Bob), Kerry, Frank (Susan), Lori, and their families.

Predeceased by her parents, Bill and Mary Bracken, and by her sister Elizabeth.

A woman who blessed everyone around her, Frances will be dearly remembered by her family and many friends. A special thank you to the outstanding staff at Hospice Niagara for their support and compassionate care.

In accordance with Frances' wishes, cremation has taken place. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at St. Alfred's Roman Catholic Church, 272 Vine St., St. Catharines on Monday, September 15th, to be followed by inurnment at Niagara-on-the-Lake.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations given to Hospice Niagara would be greatly appreciated by Frances' family.
