For years, we have posted regional death notices as a free public service, while taking on the complete cost of publishing ourselves. We can no longer do so.

Without participating Funeral Centres, Cemeteries, Monument Suppliers and Local Businesses advertising with us, we can no longer run this website at a financial deficit.

We have received dozens of emails by folks upset at the discontinuation of our daily updates, and we apologize.  We also love this site, and considered it a great service to the public by accumulating and listing all Regional Obituaries in one spot.

Also, we appreciate the privacy to not contact the families of friends for funeral arrangements who may be shortly passing, as well as, friends not having to frequently check all local funeral centre websites for service information.

RICHARD, Eloi - February 26, 1931 - May 4, 2018 - On the evening of Friday, May 4, 2018 at his son Roy’s (wife Carol) home in Newmarket, Ontario, Eloi Richard (87) a gentle soul peacefully passed away.

With family at his bedside, Eloi quietly joined his deceased parents Edmie & Francois, wife Theresa, daughter Rose, and departed brothers and sisters. 

Eloi had a proud heritage in Acadieville, New Brunswick with much family still on the east coast. 

While married to Theresa McDonald bearing children Roy (Carol), Rose (deceased) (Paul Wark), Joanne (Roland Weicht) and Janine (Gary Lang). 

He was extremely proud and fond of his grandchildren (Melissa & Nicole, Jennifer & Lindsay, Justin & Natalie and Max) and great grandchildren (Charlotte, Ruby, Georgia and Elliott).

Survived by wife Betty and step children John and Janis Jessop.

Respecting his wishes, he is being cremated and will have a Private Mass. There will be a Celebration of Life held at 12:00 noon on Friday, May 11th, 2018 at the Columbus Community Centre located at 232 Spencer Street East in Cobourg, Ontario.
