Wife of the late Elmer Austin Sherwin (1997).
Beloved mother of Barbara Marchand (John), Carolyn Thede (Terry), Shriley Aiello (Joe), Elizabeth Preston (Gerry), Diane Swinehart, Debbie Downey (Paul), Rick (Pat), Robert (Mary Ellen), and Don.
Proud grandmother of 14 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
Family and friends may gather at St. George's Anglican Church, 38 Bridge St. S., Hastings on Monday, May 27th from 1:00 - 2:00 PM. A funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm. Interment.

Of Grafton, Ontario, died peacefully on Thursday, May 23, 2013 at Peterborough Regional Health Centre, in her 98th year.
Predeceased by her loving husband of 58 years, Edward Arthur Logel (November 11, 2009).
Beloved mother of John and Brenda, Bernadette and George, Chris and Penny, Peter and Mary-Jo, Gerard and Betty-Ann.
Treasured grandmother of Christopher and wife Andrea, Katherine and Chuck Smith, Matthew, Angela, Kathleen, Leah-Ann, Kristina, Edward, David, Maggie and Johanna. Proud great grandmother of Emma, Cameron, Elyssa, Jordyn and Daniel.
Dear sister-in-law of Kathleen Logel. Lovingly remembered by many nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by her parents, Michael Molloy and Isabel Jordan, siblings, Ambrose, Isabel, Geraldine, and Mildred and son-in-law Grant Pettipas.
Mary was faith-filled and kind, gentle in her speech and manner. She never criticized, only praised and encouraged. Mary loved her children dearly, her face lighting up whenever one of them entered the room. She was a proud member of St. Mary’s Catholic Women’s League in Grafton for over 50 years.
Mary enjoyed walking, autumn drives, reading, pets, gardening, visiting with close friends, family gatherings and attending as many of her grandchildren’s activities as possible. She was a shining example of “moderation in all things” and enjoyed excellent health until two days before her death.
Arrangements out of Peterborough. A memorial visitation will be held in Cobourg on Monday and Tuesday. A celebration of Mary's life will take place at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Grafton on Tuesday, May 28th at 11 a.m. Interment to follow in Grafton.
In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Joseph’s at Fleming in Peterborough would be appreciated by the family. Mary loved her home at St. Joseph’s where she was treated with dignity and respect for over five years.

Loving husband of Carol Stevenson. Dear father of Judy Anderson (Russell), Bob Mechetuk (Ginny), Dave Mechetuk (Debbie) and Tracey Ellis (Rick) and step father of Terry, Wendy, Debbie, Sandrea and Jennifer Stevenson.
Beloved grandpa of Shelley Aggett & Ryan Anderson, Carrielynn Roberts Mooney, Isaiah Ellis and the late Scott Mechetuk; Ashley Stevenson, Krystal Stevenson, Ryan Kimball, Jeremy & Carley Diactis, and Justin Stevenson.

BERRY, Herbert Alfred -
Peacefully, at Northumberland Hills Hospital in Cobourg, Ontario, Herb died in his 96th year.
Beloved father of Jane Gutteridge (Barry) and Margaret Creighton (Paul), he was the proud grandfather of David Gutteridge, Michael Whitehouse and Steven Whitehouse (Aynsley) and great-grandfather of Paige Whitehouse.
Born in Toronto, Herb served in the Canadian Army during WWII in England where he met his future wife Phyllis Louise (nee Adams) who predeceased him in 1998. Also predeceased by his brother Albert, his sisters Mary Grey and Maud, he is survived by his brother Jack and his sisters Lucy Craig, Violet Davis and Millie Pilote.
A long-time employee of the Department of Social Services of the City of Toronto, Herb retired in 1980. He spent most of his last decade living in Cobourg, overlooking the lake he loved. Almost three years ago, he decided it was time to move to a retirement home where he soon settled happily. We will miss his passion for art and nature, his vitality and his wild sense of humour, and are thankful for all he taught us.
Our family is very grateful to Dr. Essak and the staff of both the Northumberland Hills Hospital and Rosewood Estates for their kindness, care and compassion.
Cremation has taken place. There will be no funeral, as Herb wished.
His favourite charity was the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

Passed away peacefully at Northumberland Hills Hospital in Cobourg on Friday May 17, 2013 following a short battle with cancer.
redeceased by his loving wife of 48 years Barbara (Shier) in 2001, Bill will be dearly missed by his son Doug and his wife Peg, his daughter Patti and her husband Paul Douglas and his grandchildren Janessa, Taylor, Erica, Brittany and Brennan as well as the many friends who have had the pleasure of knowing him.
Bill was very proud of his Nova Scotian roots and of being a direct descendant and namesake of William Alexander Henry, one of Canada's Fathers of Confederation.
A private service will be held at Legion Village in Cobourg on May 30th and his ashes will be buried in Toronto at a later date.
Thank you to the staff at the palliative care unit for all their care and support.

It is with immeasurable sadness that the family of Norma Schultz announce her passing. Norma died peacefully in her home with love in her heart and her family by her side.
She will be dearly missed by her husband of 58 years, Bob. She was a wonderful mother to Ruth, Jim and Mary and son-in-law Brad Shehan. Cherished “Nona” to Emma and John.

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Kathleen 'Kay' Huffman (nee Dakin).
Loving wife and best friend of Paul Thomas Huffman for over 62 years.
After marrying in December of 1951, Mom and Dad relocated to Halifax, Nova Scotia where they welcomed their five children; Tom, Bob, Rick (Lynn), Jacquie (Henry Verbruggen) and the late Mike (Jean).
Upon Dad's retirement from the Navy, they returned to Port Hope, Ontario to raise their family. In later years, Mom and Dad retired to their cottage in Wilberforce where they enjoyed gardening, bird watching, feeding the deer and spending time with their fourteen grandchildren and twenty great grandchildren.
Mom's faith and integrity was an inspiration to us all. She will be greatly missed.

Beloved husband of Shirley (nee Poste). Fathered and mentored 2 sons: Christopher and Jonathan. Cherished son of William and Eleanor Bayliss of Lakeview.
Predeceased by his brothers Alfred (Dorothy), Albert, William (Marie), John (Margaret), Ken (Dora) and Tom (Charlene). Half brother of Rodney with second wife Margaret.
Raymond had a career in the RCAF from 1957-1984 as an Airframe Tech and passed his knowledge and skills on to many young men going through the trade. After retirement Raymond joined the Canadian Corp of Commissionaires until his full retirement.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 18th at 2:00 pm. at Prospect Missionary Church, Colborne.

Died peacefully at Northumberland Hills Hospital on Friday, May 11, 2013.
Joe was predeceased by his beloved wife Julie Gaudreau, his parents, and three siblings.
He was the loving father of Nancy Berry and Thomas Fowler, cherished grandfather of Michael and Donna Berry, and much-loved great-grandfather of Michael Fraser, and Eva and Noah Berry.
He is also remembered fondly as an uncle, grand-uncle, great-grand-uncle, and great-great-granduncle by his many nieces, nephews and their families. He is also survived by his dear friends and in-laws Clifford and Mary Gurnsey, and Eugenie and Hugh Hagan.
A longtime resident of Port Hope, Joe was born and grew up in Cobourg. He was for over 40 years an employee of A&P. He was a World War II veteran, having served in England, Italy, Belgium, and the Netherlands. He was a life-member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 30 and for many years served as a leader of the 1st St. Mark's cubs and scouts.
He is to be cremated and a celebration of his life will be held at a later date.

Passed away peacefully at his home after a brief strong battle with cancer on Thursday, May 9, 2013 at 73 years young.
Beloved husband of Phyllis Buchanan. Loving father of Cathy Buchanan, Steven Buchanan (Jennifer), Karen Buchanan (Dave) and Lisa Ferguson (Randy). Proud papa of Josh, Shawn, Michelle, Katelyn and Brandi.
Survived by siblings Phyllis Munro, Roy Buchanan (Mary), Patsy Casey (Bernie), Debbie Fox (Gord) and predeceased by brother Bob Buchanan and survived by his wife Nancy.
Predeceased by parents Marion and Donald Buchanan. Fondly remembered by many brothers and sisters in law, nieces, nephews, cousins and many many friends.
Memorial visitation will be held in Campbellford on Sunday, May 12th. Cremation to follow.
Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.

Passed away suddenly on May 9, 2013 at Peterborough Regional Health Centre. Barry Farthing at 65 years of age.
Beloved father of Shannon Farthing and Ryan Farthing. Grandfather of Meghan.
Brother of Norma Langille (Wendell), Pat Sowden (Don). Predeceased by his parents Norman and Rose Farthing. Greatly missed by his nephews, nieces, family and friends.
A Funeral Service will be held in Cobourg on Tuesday, May 14th. Interment to follow.
