LAWRENCE, Patricia Marie (nee Naish) -
(March 17, 1927 - April 15, 2013)
With heavy hearts we announce the passing of our beloved mother at Northumberland Hills Hospital, Cobourg.
Predeceased by husband John Addison Lawrence in 1967 and siblings Ronald, Warren, and Mary as well as cherished family friend, Douglas Edds and Mom’s dear friend Trixie Paris.
Loved always by daughters Mary Clancy (John), Vicki Kent (late David) and son Bruce (Melinda). Fondly remembered by niece, Ronnie Ellis.
A 1945 graduate of Havergal College she attended the University of Manitoba before marrying her one and only love, Add Lawrence in Red Lake, Ontario in 1948. "Pat 'n' Add” were proud members of the Masons and the Eastern Star as well as the Royal Canadian Legion that Dad enthusiastically helped found in Red Lake shortly after returning from the war.
Mom retired from the Scarborough Board of Education in 1987 after 19 years at Buchanan Public School. She was an avid mystery reader, puzzle solver and loyal Blue Jays fan even during their most dismal seasons.
Grateful thanks are extended to the outstanding nursing staff in the Palliative Care Unit who made sure the Blue Jays game was always on.

Peacefully on Sunday, April 14, 2013 at Extendicare, Port Hope.
Tommy Boyce, 90, was much beloved by his two daughters, Eileen Argyris and JoAnne (Mike) McGregor.
He will be greatly missed by his three grandchildren, Jason (Fay Chang) and Liam (Jenny) Argyris and Meghan McGregor and by his three great-grandchildren, Chloe, Naomi and Myles Argyris.
Predeceased by his wife, Ann. He is also regretted by Eileen and Bob Warner and Andrea, Darryl and Sophie Villanovich, as well as numerous friends and relatives in the U.K.
Tommy was a World War II veteran, born in Belfast, Northern Ireland, who proudly served in both the RAF and RCAF.
A private family gathering will be scheduled at a later date.

Age 75, of Warkworth, ON, passed away suddenly at Kingston General Hospital on Friday, April 12th, 2013.
Born in Warkworth, to Dorothea (Palmateer) and Albert O'Dell, Russell lived in numerous towns and cities across Ontario, as well as Prince Edward Island and western Canada. He loved to drive, and always took the long way just for the scenery.
Russell will be sadly missed by his children: Aron O'Dell (Kathy) of Keswick, Troy O'Dell of Belleville, Thane O'Dell (Lorraine) of Mount Brydges, Nola Parkinson (Pat) of Codrington, Melissa Taylor (Allan) of Nepean, Samantha O'Dell of Belleville, and Ursula Davis (Sean) of Kingston.
Dear brother of Elaine McCreith (Jack) of Orillia, and the late Rita-Jean Roberts, Russell will also be missed by his fifteen grandchildren, extended family and many friends.

GORDON, Albert John -
(1931 - 2013)
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Albert Gordon in the twilight hours of April 9, 2013, peacefully in his sleep with his family at his side.
Beloved husband of 56 years to Gertie and much loved father and father-in-law to David and Gillian, Mark and Sheila, and Fiona and Spencer. Cherished grandfather of Conor, Devin, Caitlyn and Jessica.
Born in Co. Cavan, Ireland, he spent his youth in Dublin as a student of Mountjoy School before embarking on a career in lumber sales and marrying Gertie, eventually setting sail for Canada and a career in banking, in both Toronto and Calgary.
In later years Albert joined with Gertie in pursuing their own business as proprietors of Allen’s Hardware in Cobourg, Ontario prior to their eventual retirement and his pursuit of new interests, which included developing a talent for watercolour painting.
Special thanks to all his friends for their prayers.
A memorial service will be held at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, (200 King St. West, Cobourg) on Wednesday April 17th at 11 a.m.

Audrey was a nurse at the Cobourg Hospital for many years. She will be remembered for her caring, kindness, intelligence and helpfulness. Audrey loved, Kahshe Lake, sports, reading, bridge and family get togethers.

CHARRON, Rita, Sister St. Damien, CSJ - "Express Condolences"
Sister entered into her eternal rest at Mount St. Joseph, Peterborough, Ontario on Thursday, April 4, 2013, in the 66th year of her religious life.
She was the daughter of the late Anatole Charron and Modestina Ladouceur of Ottawa. Along with the members of her religious community, she leaves her many nieces, nephews and friends.
Sister St. Damien is predeceased by her brothers Damien, Anatole and Roland and her sisters Mrs. Edna Pothier, Mrs. Blanche Barre, Mrs. Noella Cowan and Mrs. Anita Parent.
Sister St. Damien received her education at the University of Ottawa. She taught in Old Chelsea in Quebec, in St. John's, St. Anne's and Sacred Heart in Peterborough, at St. Mary's, and O.L.P.H. in Ottawa, as well as in Cobourg and Lindsay in Ontario.
Sister was school librarian for three years in Vancouver, BC and seven years in St. Martin, Thunder Bay, Ontario. She was Community Archivist at Mount St. Joseph for twelve years.
Visitation at Mount St. Joseph, (1555 Monaghan Road, Peterborough ) will be from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. on Friday, April 5th.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Mount St. Joseph on Saturday, April 6th at 10:30 a.m. Interment at Highland Park Cemetery.

Daughter of the late Allen Maguire and Margaret Castleton. Born in Dublin, Ireland, October 3, 1923, died April 2, 2013.
Lifelong love of her husband, Graham Cotter, married in 1950. Mother of Sean (Nancy Warner), Charis, Cate (Charles McQueen), Simon (Trudy Ruf). Grandmother of Colin Warner, John Hamlin, Charles Hamlin, Zoe Cleland, Emilia Cotter, Alexander Cotter, and Michael Cotter.
Honorary mother to the late Ernie Lindsay (Heather Kemp), Sally Raymond (Allan Raymond), the late Marjory Noganosh, and Marie Smith. Honorary grandmother to Christopher Raymond, Michael Raymond, Peter Lindsay, Joey Lindsay, and Patty Lindsay.
Evelyn went to school at St. Mary’s Academy and Walkerville Collegiate in Windsor, Ontario. She won a scholarship to attend University College, University of Toronto (Whitney Hall), where she completed her M.A. thesis on her fellow countryman, Sean O’Casey. Evelyn lectured at St. John’s College, Winnipeg, the University of Manitoba, and Carleton University.
She moved on to be the director of the Writing Labs at Innis and Woodsworth colleges at the University of Toronto. Evelyn served as Board of Education Trustee for Parkdale from 1975 to 1978, where she was instrumental in making Canadian content and Canadian literature more available in Toronto schools. She was very involved in Camp Artaban, Bolton, where she directed the girls camp.
Evelyn lived with her family successively at Hillcrest Park in Cabbagetown, the Rectory on Tyndall Ave., Parkdale, and “Bag End” near Warkworth in inimitable Northumberland County.
Blessed in her friends and family, she lived life with good sense and good humour.
The funeral will be held on Monday, April 8th at 11 a.m. at St. Mark’s Anglican Church in Port Hope.
