AITCHISON, Bette Mabel -
March 17, 1929 - April 13, 2024
Bette Aitchison (nee Neilson) of Cobourg, at the age of 95, passed away peacefully, with her daughter, Deborah, by her side at the Northumberland Hills Hospital.
Bette was a loving mother to Glenn (Anna), Deborah (Gary), and Stephen.
She will be missed by her grandchildren: Tyler (Lindsey), Stacey (Michael), Connor and Martina (Patrik); and her great-granddaughters, Avery and Harper.
Bette is survived by her 99-year-old sister, Marie.
Predeceased by her loving husband, Yosh Yonakura; and sisters, Thelma, Gladys, and Irene; and brother, Ernie.
She will be sadly missed by her many nephews, nieces, family and friends. Bette had a remarkable strength within her. No matter what hardships she endured she always had a smile on her face. Her kindness and positive influence will forever remain in all who knew her.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, May 4, 2024, at Lansing United Church, 49 Bogert Ave., Willowdale. Visitation: 10:00-11:00 a.m. Service: 11:00 a.m. Reception immediately following.
In lieu of flowers, memory donations can be made to the Northumberland Hills Hospital, Cobourg, Ontario.
