McCALLEN, Susan (nee O’Reilly) - Passed away peacefully at Tall Pines Long Term Care, Brampton in her 91st year, surrounded by those she loved.
Born in Monaghan, Ireland in 1927, Susan was the youngest of seven: Sadie (Birmingham), Mary (Warner), Josie (MacAleavey), John, Hugh and Roseleen (Kelly), all of whom predeceased her. She emigrated to Canada in 1954, and there met and married William McCallen.
They lived in Toronto until Bill’s retirement, when they moved to Apsley, a village she dearly loved and in turn loved her back. After Bill’s passing, Sue moved to Tall Pines to be close to her nephew Pat Kelly, his wife Helen, grandnephew Brendan and grandnieces Erin & Jodie and great grandnieces Quinn & Safina.

Bill was the brother of Brian and Robert, Husband to Heather and Father to Connor.
Bill developed many friendships while serving with the Canadian Military, his work in the security field and his volunteer service with Big Brothers, in Brampton.

The Sisters of the Congregation of the Sisters of St. Joseph in Canada, (Hamilton) are saddened to announce the death of Sister Marion Downer at St. Joseph’s Residence Hamilton, Ontario on Thursday, September 28, 2017 in her 60th year as a Sister of St. Joseph.
She was the daughter of the late Gilbert Downer and Ita Tobin. She was predeceased by her brother Paul and her sister Jeanette. She will be remembered by cousins in Peterborough and the United States and the members of her religious family, the Sisters of St. Joseph.
Sister was born and raised in Peterborough and came to Hamilton to teach. It was here that she answered the call to enter religious life. Sister Marion was a dedicated teacher and a gifted musician and possessed a wry sense of humour. She taught in the Hamilton area and she shared her musical gift as a private music teacher and a church organist.
NOBLE, Sandra L. (Stahurski) – Daughter Lisa Noble (Tom Gibson) and her two children: Ryan Noble (Kim) and Bailey Noble, are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Mom/Nana on Wednesday, September 27th, 2017, after a long and very brave battle with cancer at the age of 67.
Sandra is also the dearly loved “Grama” of Bobbi Riley and her two children: Alisha and Michaela. She was predeceased by her daughter Carol (Sept. 19, 2017), parents Edward and Gina Stahurski, and three siblings.
