Servos RobertSERVOS, Robert 'Bob' James - (December 30, 1937 - October 9, 2017) - Bob passed away after a valiant battle with a long illness at Centennial Place, Millbrook, ON.

Bob was born to the late Lorne and Edna (Yates) Servos in St. Catharines, ON.

Beloved husband of Josephine "Jo" (Nadon) Servos for over 53 years. Bob and Jo made their home in St. Catharines, ON and began to raise their family. Bob was a skilled carpenter/cabinet maker and worked in the construction trade. He took pride at being a Union Member (O.P.C. of Carpenters).

An opportunity arose in the early 80's and they moved their family to the Bancroft area to own and operate Somerset Inn. Bob worked for Ontario Hydro. Bob and Jo moved to a home near Lakefield, ON and spent over 25 years residing in that community.

He was a dedicated member of the Warsaw Lions Club for 7 years. After 45 years in his trade, he retired. He was a Union Member for 61 years in the Local 38, then Local 397.

Many people will have memories of Bob whistling a catchy little tune or singing out with his deep voice around the campfire at The Camp, at St. Joseph's Church in Douro or along with the oldies on the radio. Bob enjoyed keeping up with current events and reading the daily news. Crosswords were a favourite pastime of his. Bob took pride in his yard work and enjoyed watching the birds/squirrels. He always enjoyed apples, ice cream and chocolate for snacks or dessert.

He is dearly missed by his family, who celebrate the fact he is at peace. Bob is survived by his children, Lynn Servos-Post (Keven), of Eldorado, ON and Leonard Servos (Natasha Kerel) of Havelock, ON and his grandchildren, Daylee Post (Thom Hancock), Mindy Tapper (Brandon), Justin Benn, Evan Klatt, Haley and Nick Dion. He was preceded in death by his son Leland.

Bob will be fondly remembered by members of his family and their families: Sisters Bev Lafferty (Ern), Shirley Rouse (Clay), Dorothy Beckett (Russ) and brother Bruce and the families of his late brothers Murl (Sue), Win (Bernadette), Dennis (Rose), Terry (Marian), the Nadon family, friends and neighbours.

The Servos family would like to thank the amazing staff at Heritage House of Centennial Place, Millbrook, ON for their kindness and respectful care for Bob in his last years of life.

In keeping with Bob's wishes, cremation will take place and a Memorial Service will be held at a later date with interment at Victoria Lawn Cemetery in St. Catharines, ON.

In memory of Bob, donations to the Canadian Parkinson's Society or the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Peterborough Cremation Service.
