Proud great grandfather of Brandon, Shannon & Angela Hishon, Nicole, Andrew, Jessica, Katelyn & Jack Mc Isaac, Tyler Muir and great great grandfather of Marcello Hishon. Brother of the late Gladys, John, Ed and Margaret.

Survived by sister in law Dorothy Palmer. Sadly missed by many nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held in Orillia on Saturday, August 30th. Interment in Beaverton.

Born to Ann and Robert Buntin in Dundee, Scotland. Predeceased by her beloved husband Eric and her precious “Mingy”. Also predeceased by dear brother Robert.

Mary leaves wonderful sister, Nancy Thomson (Bill), niece Fiona and nephews Stuart (Nancy), Douglas (Margaret) and their families. Daughter Angela Bell (Fred) and son Scott (Karen), grandsons Gavin (Leigh), and Cameron (Anita). Great granddaughters Josie, and Elise.

Mary was an avid reader, loved Scottish country dancing and enjoyed landscape painting. She was a Red Cross Nurse in W.W.II, immigrated to Canada so Eric could work on the “Avro Arrow”. Long time employee of Sears Canada, Mary also volunteered for years at Royal Victoria Hospital (Barrie).

Our thanks to Dr. Gan and his team, medical, palliative and pain management teams at L.H.S.C. also, to CCAC and St. Elizabeth's, and to all who ensured that mom could have the best quality of life in her final journey.

Mom has requested a graveside service and interment next to Eric in Barrie which will be held on Saturday, August 30.

If you wish, donations may be made in memory of Mary to Sick Kids' Hospital, Toronto or the Donkey Sanctuary of Canada, Guelph.

Ron shared his enthusiasm and zest for life with all who knew him. Beloved husband of Debbie Russell. Sadly missed by his children Jason (Lisa) Russell, Kimberly (Glenn) English, and their mother Barbara Niles, Kimberly Nadeau (Jason) and Christie (Pretesh) Mistry.

Caring nephew to Nellie Parsons, with whom he was especially close. He will be sadly missed by all of his many friends and relatives.

A celebration of his life will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion, 215 Mississauga Street East, Orillia, on Sunday, August 31st from 2-5 pm. Prayers and eulogy will begin at 3 pm.

Lucille was a childcare provider for many years and later worked for the Simcoe County District School Board for 20 years as a Custodian.

She enjoyed quilting where each of her children received one of her beautiful quilts and she was also an avid baker known for her famous "peanut butter balls".

Beloved wife of the late Allen Therrien and survived by her children, Anne Rutherford (Neil), Pierre (Tracy Palmer), Louise Read (George), Joan (Brian Jacques) and Paul (Jeffrey Prentice).

Cherished Mémère of Jenna Prout (Chris), Justus Rutherford, Laura Leaney, Jessie Therrien and Katrina Therrien. Sister of Gertrude Marion (Andre), Alberta Gignac (Marc) and Julie Desjardins (Armand).

Predeceased by her parents Albert & Lena Genier and daughter in law Terry-Anne. She will be sadly missed by her many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Devoted husband of 54 years to Pat (nee Forsyth), John died after a courageous but brief battle with leukemia at the Georgian Bay General Hospital on Monday, August 25, 2014, in his 82nd year.

Thanks to the hospital staff for their special care.

Father of Jamie (Mary) and Robert (Julie) and grandfather of Thomas, Paul, Jack, Christian, Sally and Charlotte. Brother of Ann Porter (Ron), Frank (Jan), and the late Bob (survived by Louyse).

John had been an air force pilot, amateur race car driver, provincial badminton champion and radio enthusiast and astronomer but above all, was an avid sailor to the end, inspiring his family and friends to share his passion at the Shediac Bay Yacht Club, the Midland Bay Sailing Club and at the Royal Canadian Yacht Club.

Born in Moncton, New Brunswick, John attended Moncton High School, Mount Allison University and earned his Professional Engineer designation at McGill University.

A celebration of John’s life is to be held later in September.

Sister of the late Reginald  (Laura) Potter, the late Dorland (Eileen) Potter, the late Dora (Clem) Swaile, the late Lillian Gill and the late Donald Potter.

Cherished grandmother of Michael (Tracy, Kaitlin) Sallows and Scott (Rachel) Sallows, Paul Marshall, Andrew (Quinn) Marshall, Nancy (Rob) Marchall-Platts. Proud great-grandmother of Jake & Luke Sallows, and Abby & Chloe Marshall-Platts.

Survived by her brother in law Harold Gill, and sister in law Dot Potter.

She spent many happy hours in her flower gardens or baking for family, friends, or the UCW for bake sales. Marg felt very lucky to have lived to 97 ½ years but saddened by having lost so many family members and friends.

The Funeral service will be held in Orillia on Thursday, August 28, 2014 at Westmount United Church at 10 a.m.. Interment to follow.

Sime_JeffJeff passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 24th, 2014 at Orillia Soldiers' Memorial Hospital in his 57th year.

Dearly loved youngest son of Don and Gladys Sime. Predeceased by brother Donnie in 1969. Lovingly remembered by siblings Greg, Mark, Catherine (Sean).

Loving uncle to Michael, Megan and Virginia, all in Orillia. Sadly missed by many caring aunts, uncles, cousins and friends, many from the Cambridge-Kitchener area.

His best and dedicated friend was his golden retriever, Sarah. Jeff was a lover of baseball in his youth and an avid golfer.

His brother, Mark, was Jeff's special caregiver in his final days with superb care from Annie, Irene of Bayshore and Dr. Marc Italiano.

As per Jeffrey's wishes, cremation has taken place with a private family service. A Celebration of Jeff's Life may be held at a later date.

Memorial Donations would be greatly appreciated to the Children's Wish Foundation.

Brooksbank_LarryPeacefully passed away on Saturday August 23rd, with his family at his side after a courageous battle with cancer.

Survived by his best friend and loving wife of 46 years, Jenni. He will be greatly missed by his children Jason (Leigh) and Nikki (B.A.), his mother Mabel and the twinkle of his eye, his granddaughter, Laurel.

Remembered by his extended family from Chatham area as well as brothers-in-law, Christopher and Russell (Jacqui) and his nephew, Simon and niece, Avril.

Larry proudly served Ontario Hydro for 31 years, then key consultant to Five Nations Energy James Bay projects and member/President of the Orillia Light and Power Board in his busy retirement. He still found time for his passion, golf and treasured his time with his Monday night golf league friends.

A memorial service will be held in Barrie on Thursday, August 28th. A celebration gathering at his local watering hole, Wickies 274 Burton Ave, Barrie, will follow the service at approximately 3:30pm.

His family would especially like to recognize the wonderful work of the nurses, doctors and support staff at Mount Sinai and Royal Victoria Hospitals during Larry's brave fight. Special recognition to his home healthcare nurse, Christine, for her incredible support.

In lieu of flowers, a donation in Larry's name may be made to the Simcoe County Carriage Driving for the Disabled where he was a volunteer.
