Adams_TomThe family of Thomas Philip Adams is sad to announce his death at age 82 on May 22, 2015 in Midland, Ontario.

Philip is survived by his beloved wife Nancy Adams (Lecour), his four children, Louise Adams (Steven Karrys), Jennifer Adams (Randall Wilson), Tom Adams (Laura Adams), Kathryn Adams (Patrick Collins), his special niece Mary Jane Grant and her son Riley Quinn.

He leaves behind 8 fantastic grandchildren, Lauren & Andrea Karrys, Nolan & Liam Wilson, Hilary & Mitchell Adams and Owen & Adrienne Collins.

Philip will be deeply missed by his sister Marjorie Burns, many nieces and nephews, and countless friends.

Philip was born on September 7, 1932 in Windsor, Nova Scotia. He spent his early years moving around Canada as his father took up various positions at the Bank of Nova Scotia. Philip graduated from the Royal Military College and the University of Toronto. Most of his professional career was spent working with the Ontario Public Service. Philip was instrumental in the development of important social programs such as OHIP. As Assistant Deputy Minister in the Ministry of Colleges & Universities, he was a leader in the creation of Ontario’s community college system.

After retirement Philip and Nancy moved to Midland where they began another chapter. They enjoyed their gardens, bridge club, curling and travels to many parts of the world. Philip continued in service to his community, as Founding Chair of the Simcoe County Community Care Access Center and as Chair of the Historical and Heritage Committee for the Township of Tiny. He also took time to author two books on Huronia history.

Philip was known for his gregarious nature, his razor sharp intellect and his ability to devour a seemingly infinite number of books. He was an unwavering supporter of the Toronto Argonauts and an enormously proud Canadian. His greatest love was for his family of whom he was immensely proud.

A funeral mass will take place on Wed. May 27 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Margaret’s Catholic Church, 589 Hugel Avenue, Midland ON. A reception will follow.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that a donation be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

Proud grandfather of Kevin, Andrew, Sheamus, Regan, and Eric.

Predeceased by his sisters Mary, Alice, and his brothers Patrick, and Eugene. Michael Vincent will be lovingly remembered by his family and many friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held The Church of the Guardian Angels, 115 West St. N Orillia. on Monday, May 25th, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. Interment at St. Michael’s Cemetery, Orillia.

Wife of the late Walter Bauer, passed away peacefully at Hillcrest Village on May 21, 2015.

She is survived by her son Dieter (Barbara) and her daughter Gisela St. Amant (Ken). Anni was a loving grandmother to Traci and Scott St. Amant, Sam and Shayla Hilliard, Kevin and Mandy Bauer, and Andy Bauer. She will be missed by her great-grandchildren Sofia, Casey and Eliya Bauer, and Liam Hilliard.

Anni lived a long and interesting life filled with many adventures including nine years in India. She enjoyed travelling and always had a keen interest in seeing as much of the world as she could.

Anni was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who was always available and willing to help her family. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, knitting and her time working at the Midland Library. Anni was also a life-long member of the Hospital Ladies Auxiliary.

The family wishes to extend their deepest gratitude to the staff of King Place and Hillcrest Village for their care and compassion. Special thanks to Debbie Messenger.

Loving mother of Lesley and her husband Wilfred Harrison, of Sprucedale, Ian and his wife Jean, of Owen Sound, Jim and his partner Linda Lachine, of Mississauga, Marty and his wife Marsha, of Cochrane, AB, Teal, of Huntsville, and Richard, of Port Perry.

Treasured grandmother and great-grandmother. Devoted sister of Beryl Woods (late Dennis), of London, England.

Sadly missed by friends at Limpert Lodge, Wiarton. Predeceased by her husband Allan Cochrane (1970).

Lilian’s family wish to express their sincere appreciation to the personal care workers of VON, CCAC, and the doctors and nursing staff of the Wiarton Hospital.

He will be dearly missed by his beloved wife of 61 years, Norma Elliott (née Hollingsworth). Gordon was the much loved father of James (Kathy) Elliott of North Augusta, Sue (Pete) Jagt of Miller Lake, Dee (Dennis) Risk of Meaford, and Kim Elliott (Perry Smith) of Tobermory.

He was predeceased by his daughter Debra Lee. He was the wonderful Grandpa of Kendra, Braeden, Aaron, Brandon, Curtis, Ariel, Zachary, Curtis and Cameron, and was predeceased by his granddaughter Kristin Elizabeth.

Gordon is survived by his brother Johnston Elliott and was predeceased by his brothers Thomas and Wilbert Elliott, and his sister Betty Grozelle.

He will be fondly remembered by John and Marie Hollingsworth, Mary Telford and his many nieces, nephews and their families.

A memorial service will be conducted at the First Baptist Church, Trowbridge St. West in Meaford, on Monday, May 25, 2015 at 11 o’clock.

Wife of the late Othmar H. Struthmann (1999). Mother of Alois (Lois) Struthmann of Innerkip, George (Sally) Struthmann of Minesing, Hermann (Vilma) Struthmann of Craighurst.

Grandmother of Cindy, Tansy, Angela, Amanda, A.J., Christian, and Tiana. Great grandmother of 11, and aunt to many nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, 30 Worsley Street Barrie on Tuesday, May 26th from 7pm until 9pm. Service to be held in the chapel on Wednesday, May 27th at 11am. Interment to follow in Barrie.

Passed away suddenly on Wednesday May 20th at his home at Pine Villa Lodge.

He was 68 years old and survived by his loving wife Helen.

Larry grew up on the main street of Collingwood above the popular Colonial Restaurant owned by his parents. Others would know him as a taxi driver for many years with Ace Cabs. Most recently he would be known for his many strolls up main street with his wife and daily visits to Tim Hortons.

Those who knew Larry would have a special memory but none more so than his surviving family especially his brother Glen (Mary), sister Judy Wood (Bob) and sister Penny Hogg; he was predeceased by brother Alvin.

A special thanks to Larry’s care givers, the staff at Pine Villa and Dr. Rowlinson.
