Passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, on Thursday, November 20th, 2014, one month after celebrating his 91st birthday at the Tiffin House in Midland.
He will be missed by those included in his circle of love. Loving father to Carol Belcher. Fondly remembered and deeply missed by his siblings; Gordon, Jack (Beryl), Edna (Gordon) Barratt, Jean (the late Bert) Calvert and Lorne (Theresa).

A celebration of Ted's life will be held on Friday, November 28th at 1 o'clock at the Unity United Church, Vasey. Interment will take place in the spring in Victoria Harbour.

Passed away peacefully at Hospice Simcoe in Barrie on Thursday, November 20th, 2014.
Born on November 5, 1931 at St. Thomas, Ontario, he was the eldest son of Morrow and Laura Riddell of Welbeck. Beloved husband of Elizabeth Anne Riddell (nee Harvey) for fifty-six years, recently of Barrie.
Dear father of Jill Shipley–Brown (David) of Barrie, Peggy Millar (Tim) of North Bay, and Robert Riddell (Jennifer) of Barrie. He was the proud grandfather of Alex and Charlotte Shipley, Max, Julia and Lucy Millar, MacKenzie Knapp and Liam Riddell.
Hugh will be missed by his brother Doug (Marilyn) of Welbeck. He was predeceased by his sister Sylvia Reid and her husband Bruce. He will lovingly be remembered by Norma Riddell and Cathy and Bev Turner and families, and will never be forgotten by his many nieces and nephews.
We will all miss his constant curiosity for life and his desert dry wit.
His family is profoundly grateful for the love and support given to Hugh and Elizabeth Anne throughout the course of his illness.
A celebration of Hugh’s life will be held Latona Presbyterian Church, Dornoch on Monday, November 24th at 11 a.m.

Beloved husband of the late Edna Mae Stevenson. Loving father of Linda Lawlor and husband Pat, Gord Stevenson and wife Betty, Doug Stevenson and wife Carolyn, Allan Stevenson and wife Darlene all of Orillia and daughter Margo Ayers and husband Douglas Lake of Whitby.

Joan was predeceased by her parents Josephine and Norman Ryckman. Joan was the beloved wife of the late Lloyd Russell Armstrong and loving Mother of Jane and her husband Dennis Brown of Midhurst, and Douglas of Sault Ste. Marie.
Her grandchildren, Sandra (Ryan Wright), Kimberly (Michael Letourneau), Josh, Nick, and John, were her greatest joy. John Ryckman of Toronto was her only brother.
A celebration of Joan’s life will take place at the Salvation Army Barrie Church, 151 Lillian Crescent, Barrie, where the family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 25th at 2pm. Cremation has taken place. Internment will take place in the Spring.

GUY, Holden Thomas - WWII Veteran (Retired Mail Carrier for Canada Post in Barrie)
Passed away peacefully at The Pines Long Term Care Residence in Bracebridge on Tuesday, November 18, 2014, in his 92nd year.
Predeceased by his dear wife Ruth (nee McLellan), who died on December 29, 2002. Devoted father of Ken Guy (Nina) of Bracebridge and Rob (Susan) of Aurora.
Proud grandpa of Michael, Scott, Nathan, Christopher, Nicholas, Mitchell and Rachel. Beloved brother of Gwennie Gallagher of Moncton, N.B.
Predeceased by his siblings Harold, Marion, Phyllis, Donald, Lenore, Hazel, Basil and Maureen.
In accordance with the family’s wishes, a Private Celebration of Life Gathering will take place at a later date. Mr. Guy will be laid to rest beside his late wife, Ruth, in Barrie when weather permits.

Died peacefully, after a short illness, as the snow storm raged in Collingwood.
Predeceased by her husband John Rykert, her daughter Pam, and sisters Ann Laing and Alan Riley. Survived by her daughters Liz (John Sewell) of Toronto and Serena (Andy Connelly) of Bancroft, her son John of Tofino, her daughter-in-law Aeron and her granddaughter Emily of Orangeville. Loving aunt to the Laing and Riley cousins.
Carol lived in Collingwood for more than 25 years after her husband died, and was devoted to books and the arts. She also loved golf, travel and her garden. She invested much energy in the Blue Mountain Foundation for the Arts, the Georgian Triangle Lifelong Learning Institute, Beaver Valley Lifelong Learning, The Collingwood Ladies Book Club and the Raglan Book Club. She was a vivacious woman, full of ideas and fun. She was much loved and admired by many in Toronto and in Collingwood who found her a constant delight to be with. As one close friend said “She was a bright soul.”
Carol was an active supporter of the Collingwood General and Marine Hospital, especially her commitment to mental health services. The family wants to thank the staff of the hospital for their attentive care.
Cremation has taken place. A memorial celebration for Collingwood friends of Carol will be held on Tuesday November 25, 2-4 pm with words at 2:30pm, at the Blue Mountain Foundation for the Arts, 163 Hurontario Street at Third Street. For Toronto friends, a memorial celebration will be held on Thursday November 27, 2-4pm with words at 2:30pm, at the York Club, Bloor Avenue and St. George Street in Toronto. The York Club asks for business attire.
