Domanski_JohnIn his 72nd year after a short courageous battle with cancer, John passed away on January 29, 2015 at the Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre.

John is survived by his loving wife Gail of 48 years his two children Paul and Lisa his grandchildren Paige and Colten who were the joy of his life and also his brother Andy (Mimi) Domanski, sisters in-law Liane (Don) Low and Joyce (David) Bond and also son in-law Eric Duivenvoorden.

A service will take place in Barrie on Monday February 2nd.

Memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society Research Fund or the Salvation Army would be appreciated by the family.

The family would like to thank the nursing staff of 3GC at the Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre for their compassionate care throughout John’s last month.

Norm is survived by his wife, JoAnne Fleming-Valin (nee Campbell), of Collingwood. He joins his beloved first wife, Pauline (nee Luck (2003)), and leaves his daughter Christine Doyle and her husband James (Jim) of Waterloo, and his son Richard (Rick) Valin and his wife Rita of Kitchener.

Also survived by grandchildren Kathy (Darren) Dunnett and James (Agnes) Doyle, great grandchildren Aidan Dunnett, Robert Dunnett and Harrison Doyle.

He will be remembered by his step-children Laura Fleming (Gordon Sparrey) of Kelowna and Suzanne Fleming of Sudbury, his sister Madeline Valin, sisters-in-law Betty (late Raymond) Valin, Ruth (George) Brandt, Fran (George) Whitney, and brothers-in-law Robert (Louise) Luck and Brian (Margaret) Campbell.

Norm led an adventurous life in business and on ski slopes around the world. He loved powder skiing, golf, travel, Mexico and a great party.

An Open House to celebrate his life will be held at 145 Fairway Cres. Unit 51, Collingwood, L9Y 5B4, on Saturday January 31st, from 11 am - 5 pm, with shared memories at 2 pm. Private interment will take place at a future date in Waterloo.

Larry's passion for and commitment to cross country skiing will be long remembered by the ski community. His leadership as mentor and coach for many cross country ski athletes, and contributions to building the sport of skiing across Canada will be missed.

Proud Opa of Lukas (Joanna), Mackenzie, and Grace. Brother of Rudolf Timm, Magdeburg, Germany. Predeceased by his brother Johannes.

A carpenter by trade, a businessman by inclination, a great reader of literature and history, a German immigrant who developed a real love for the land and waterways of Canada, a major fan of F1 racing, a lifetime sailor who raced his CS33 on Lake Ontario, a dynamic and enterprising but also contemplative man whose curiosity about the big questions of life was reflected in his passion for astronomy.

He loved, and he was loved.

Special thanks to the Heart Function Clinic, Orillia, for dedication and compassion over the years and to the Soldiers’ 1 team at OSMH for professional and humane care at the end of his life.

The funeral service will take place in Orillia on Wednesday, January 28th. There will be a reception on the premises after the service.

Cathy passed away suddenly and unexpectedly at her home in Thornbury on Saturday evening, January 24, 2015 at the age of 55.

She will be remembered as the loving mother and best friend of Ashley and loved partner of Allan Bayliss and as ‘second mom’ to Karinna.

She will be sadly missed by her parents Peter and Margaret Aussant of Meaford and sisters Debbie Fletcher (Ed) of Everett, Carrie Innes (Michael) of Aurora and Laurie Kaczmarczyk (Mark) of Guelph.

Cathy was a dear aunt of Ryan (Anneh), Dan (Samantha), Jamie, Cole, Kaitlyn and Maggie and special great aunt of Brody and Myah. Cathy is also survived and fondly remembered by several aunts, uncles and cousins.

As were Cathy’s wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation. A private disposition of Cathy’s ashes will be conducted at a later date.

She fought a tough battle the last 4 years. We are thankful to have been surrounded by the loving hearts and compassion of a team of dynamic women from: RVH – Stroke and Rehabilitation Program, The Home Care PSW team from Bayshore Agency and Red Cross. The Nursing and Personal Support Staff of Victoria Village 6th Floor. Special thank you to Dr. Michael McConvey for his understanding and care to guide us all through this difficult time.

She was proud grandma to Christopher, Christina, Bobby, Kayla, Erik and Alison and great-grandma to Aubrey, Andrew and Brooklyn. Josie was lovingly referred to by her grandchildren as JoJo Bean and Gma Jo.

She leaves behind her brother Martin. Josie has left us to join with those who went before her: sister, Veronica/Ronnie and niece, Georgina.

Josie was born in Liverpool, England and immigrated to Canada in 1960, living first in Toronto and then settling in Stroud, just south of Barrie, Ontario. She will be dearly missed by her nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends.

A Funeral Service will take place in the Chapel of St. Joseph on Friday, January 30, at 12 pm. Following the service a reception will be held for family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.

The loving husband of Jaga, father of Michael, Joanne and Catherine, and wonderful grandfather to Elle, Jack and Sam.

A Celebration of Mark's life will be held in Collingwood on Monday, January 26th.

Nadeau_BarryLoving Son of Joy and Robert and big brother of Renée, Uncle to Rachel & Emma Galloway, passed away peacefully at Orillia Soldiers Memorial Hospital on Friday, January 23, 2015.

Barry led a full life and accomplished many things; Played the guitar and organ by ear, Basketball superstar at the age of 10, Won trophies at bowling, Heavy hitter in T-ball with homeruns guaranteed every time!

Went to grade 10, Fell in love, Had his heart broken, Taught colouring to his nieces, Kind to animals, Endeared others around him, Made us realize what is really important in life.

Speaking on behalf of Barry, his loving sister Renée would like to thank all of his support staff, over the years, from Simcoe Community Services for his Nights that turned into mornings, Friends that turned into family And dreams that turned into reality, Couldn’t have done it without you!

A memorial gathering will take place in Orillia on Sunday, February 1st. Interment in Flesherton.

Ogilive_BruceBruce’s journey of enlightening friends and family with his love and laughter, concluded peacefully on January 23, 2015, at Campbell House in Collingwood, with his best friend and wife, Lorraine Ogilvie at his side.

Bruce’s 76 years of celebrating life, started in Dundee Scotland where the paths he traveled and explored weren’t without challenges, yet Bruce demonstrated the same spirit and endless unselfishness empowering his family with life, forgiveness and joy right up to and now beyond his passing.

Carrying on Bruce’s love and dedication to life, family and friends are his wife: Lorraine, his children: Erin, Patrick and his wife Laura, Lindsay and her husband Gordon, his Grandchildren: Alexandra, Nikita, Gabriel, Skylar, Corinne, Shayne and Paisley, the congregation from Wasaga Beach Community Presbyterian Church and his brethren from Northern Lights Masonic Lodge.

A Masonic Service, scheduled for 1:30, followed by Bruce’s Wasaga Beach Community Presbyterian Church service at 2:00 pm, will take place on Saturday, January 31, 2015 and then followed by fellowship and refreshments at the church, located at 208 Mosley Street.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to Campbell House, as the amazing staff, wonderful volunteers and other resident families were all our extended family during Bruce’s stay.
