GREENFIED, James Frank -
It is with profound sadness that we announce the death of Jim Greenfield , husband of Diane of Lafontaine, Tiny. His Spirit voyage began Wednesday, December 19th and his wife and two children Stephanie and Geoffery were there with him for the farewell. He loved Iife and the people he met, always listening and interested in their stories .....savouring the gift of each. Even twelve years after retiring from teaching , he still spoke fondly of all he had received from his encounters with so so many. He saw the extra ordinary in everyone. If he could reach out and thank each one, he would. He was the blue-eyed master of warm laughter, gentleness and quiet affection. The pleasure he had in his hobbies, his home, and his dear grandchildren, family and friends could not be diminished by his long struggle. He leaves behind many many very special friends, his dear father in law Harry Davidson, his cherished grandchildren Reed, Michael, Chloe and Willow , his much loved adoptees Cheryl Greenfield and Dave Picton, his sister in law Cathy Butler and her family, Melanie and Jed, two brothers Mark and Paul and his grieving family. He is joined on his voyage to that untravelled realm by Posey and the loving messages of friends and family. In keeping with his beliefs, there will be no funeral but a spring celebration with a tree planting is planned.
Personal remembrances as well as a request for notification of the spring celebration can be sent to
