Dora will be missed by all of her family and friends.

Passed away peacefully on December 3, 2014 at Sunnybrook Hospital, surrounded by his family at the age of 92.

Beloved husband of the late Irene Celeste Wilkins (nee Power). Dearest husband of Jacqueline.

Loving father of Charlotte Rochon (Michael), Faye Hill (Robert) and Wendy Cimicata (Louis). Cherished grandpa of James, Katherine, Kristy and Robert (Lauren).

James was a first wave D-Day landing veteran of the Queen's Own Rifles of Canada. He was a proud family man with a kind and gentle heart and was loved by everyone he met.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all the staff and volunteers at Sunnybrook Veterans Centre, CICU and his devoted caregivers Jessica, Tess and Melody.

Funeral Service will be held in Etobicoke, on Tuesday, December 9th.  A private family Interment to follow.

For those who wish, memorial donations may be made to the Queen's Own Rifles of Canada Trust Fund, Unit 12A, Suite 250, 4981 Hwy. 7 E., Markham.

He passed peacefully on December 3, 2014 surrounded by family.

Service will be held on Saturday, December 6th at St. Luke's Anglican Church, 904 Coxwell Ave., at 10 a.m.

Devoted mother to her loving children Marika Aroutsidis, Susan Caerels (Ron) and Chris Aroutsidis. Treasured grandmother to Anita (Joseph), Michael, Daniel (Milena), Timothy (Amanda), and Leon (Jennifer). Proud great-grandmother to Oscar, Rockluka, Haley, Caleb, Nickolas and Faith.

Funeral Mass will be Celebrated at St. Paul the Apostle Roman Catholic Church, 2265 Headon Road, Burlington on Friday, December 5th at 11:00 a.m. Burial.

BANNOCK, Norah Kathleen (nee QUINN) -

Our loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away on December 2, 2014 at Cummer Lodge, Toronto from Alzheimer's related conditions.

Norah was born on October 24, 1919 in Ottawa to Dr. Frank and Josephine Quinn.

She leaves her husband Russell after sixty-seven wonderful years of marriage, her sons Paul (Carla), Michael, John (Martha) and daughter Anne (Steve Smith). Nonie was much loved by her 12 grandchildren and great-grandchild. She is also survived by her sister Patricia (Keith) Mills in Ottawa. Norah was a terrific full time mom, excellent role model to her children and a particularly supportive grandmother to their children.

In addition, she volunteered with the Society for Crippled Civilians, St. Michael's Hospital, Blessed Sacrament Church and served breakfast for the homeless at Osgoode Hall.

She was a keen tennis player, loved downhill skiing and her summers on Lake of Bays. Norah was a constant co-pilot with Russell on his many business trips around the world.

The family is indebted to the wonderful care she received on 3 North at Cummer Lodge.

A special thanks to her fine caregivers Reah Gabuya, Nancy de los Reyes and Aleli Diak.

Cremation has taken place and a Funeral Mass will be held at Blessed Sacrament Church (Yonge Street, just south of Lawrence Avenue) on Thursday, December 11th at 11 a.m.

As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Canada, 20 Eglinton Avenue West, 16th Floor, Toronto, M4R 1K8.

Jo-Ann was deeply loved by all, including by many nieces, nephews and cherished friends.

A funeral service will take place in Milton on Friday.

Don Bruno, in his 76th year, beloved husband of Joanne (Callaghan).

Loving father of Shirley Bruno, Donna (Philip) Healey and Len Bruno (Susan). Sadly missed by his grandchildren Justin, Leanne, Jeffery, Christopher and his great-grandchildren Nathan and Nicholas. Predeceased by his brother John Bruno.

Visitation will be held at the NORTHCUTT ELLIOTT FUNERAL HOME, 53 Division St. Bowmanville, on Friday December 5th from 2 – 4 & 6 – 8 pm.

A Funeral Service will be held at TRINITY UNITED CHURCH, 116 Church Street, Bowmanville on Saturday December 6th at 11 am, with visitation from one hour prior.  Interment Bowmanville Cemetery.

Warren beloved husband of Sheila (nee Billinger) for 53 years, adoring father of Debbie and Scott.

Predeceased by his parents Henry Bliss Carman and Edith Hazel Carman (nee Magee), Warren was a descendant of Richard "The Loyalist" Carman, a 7th-generation Canadian whose family are proud of their United Empire Loyalist heritage.

Warren will be greatly missed by his cousins, mother-in-law Anna Billinger, his brothers-in-law, sisters- in-law, nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service will be held in Scarborough, on Friday, December 5th.

Interment to follow at Highland Memory Gardens.

CASSIDY, Anthony Hugh (Tony) -

Born May 9, 1942 in Cobalt, ON, died December 2, 2014, peacefully at the Kensington Hospice in Toronto.

Tony was loved by all who knew him. In the 1960s, he was an early systems designer on mainframe computers at the University of Toronto and at Canadian Tire.

He later worked as a consultant and was active in GUIDE (an influential IBM Users group) until his career was interrupted by a serious stroke in 1992. He was predeceased by his wife Julie (Landriau) Cassidy in 2010. "We have circled and circled till we have arrived home again - we two have; We have voided all but freedom, and all but our own joy." - Walt Whitman Tony and Julie were active in the Annex Residents' Association and both worked on genealogy of their respective families, Julie's dating back to the 1700s in Quebec and Tony's to the 1820s in the Eastern Townships of Quebec.

Tony is survived by his siblings Robert Cassidy, Terence Cassidy, Patricia Ahern and David Cassidy and by numerous nephews and nieces on both the Cassidy and Landriau sides. Particular support to Tony in his final years was provided by Julie's nephews Greg and Michael Martyn.

A funeral service will be held in Toronto, on Saturday, December 6th. Interment to follow.

For details about the gathering of friends and family planned after the interment, please contact one of the family members.

The family would like to thank the staff at Toronto Western Hospital for their care of Tony and the Kensington Hospice for their provision of compassion and care in his final days.

Extraordinary father to Bianca and Callie Cirella and to Amanda Z.

Cherished brother to Mattea Angelini (Frank), Joe Cirella (Natalie) and to Grace Commisso (Remo). Uncle Nick to many nieces and nephews. Nick will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by his extended family and friends.

Since anyone can remember, Nick always had that entrepreneurial spirit and ability to move any mountain. He shared his heart with everyone. May his legacy remain eternal...

Family and friends will be received at the ANDREWS COMMUNITY FUNERAL CENTRE (8190 Dixie Road, Brampton, 905-456-8190) on Tuesday, December 9th for a memorial visitation from 2 - 4 and 6 - 9 p.m.

A celebration of Nick's life will take place on Wednesday, December 10th at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. A private cremation has taken place.

She was born in Nova Scotia on January 11, 1928. Predeceased by her loving husband George Warren Hannaford, daughter Bernadine and son Ronald. 

Shirley was always a mother first. She was the loving mother to St. Clair (Diana); Edith (predeceased by Bob): Keith (Cheryl); and Sean Jackie (Albert). 12 people were lucky to call her grandma and 23 to call her great grandma.

Over the years Shirley was the loving foster mother to 25 children.

Arrangements out of Burlington. Family and friends are welcome to come celebrate Shirley’s beautiful life on Sunday, December 7th at 1pm at 19 Lake Ave S., Stoney Creek.
