Formerly of Jamaica and late of Toronto, Canada, made her transition to heaven on Friday, August 8, 2014.

She leaves her children Fabian (Carine), Sydjea, Simone and Nicholas; five grandchildren; siblings: Carl (Barbara), Barbara (Harold), Lorna (Roy), Sandra (Charles), Barrington (Joyce); nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Arrangements out of Scarborough. Funeral Service will be held at Rosewood Church of the Nazarene (657 Milner Ave., Toronto, ON M1B 2K4), on Thursday, August 21st at 11 a.m. Interment.

In lieu of flowers, kindly make a donation to Rosewood Church of the Nazarene or the Canadian Cancer Society.

Bill will be remembered by his 'other brothers' at the IBEW, his wonderful neighbours, his friends at the lake, the incredibly generous McMonagles and by Rick C., the best friend anyone ever had.

Passed away suddenly on Friday, August 8, 2014 at the age of 67.

Cherished husband of Mickey Mehal, Brian will also be greatly missed by his three children: Peter and fiancée, Sandra, Andrew and Sarah; his step-daughter Vanessa (Rob); his grandchild Robbie and his brother Chris (Marg). Brian was bright, musical, loyal and had a great sense of humour.

He loved to cook, entertain and be challenged whether in sports or games.

Currently working in the security industry, he was also a retired police officer who served over thirty years both in the Metropolitan Police Force in London, UK and Toronto.

He was a true gentlemen loved by all.

Service will be held in Scarborough on Wednesday, August 20th.

In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.

Passed away at the age of 93 on Thursday, August 7, 2014.

Recently predeceased by her husband of 70 years, Willis Blair.

Survived by son Douglas (Marilyn), daughters Judy Fletcher (Charlie) and Janice Jones. Cherished Grandma of Jennifer, Christine, Sean, Andrea, Geoffrey, Alexander, Scott and Andrew. Great- grandma of Suri and Jora. Dear sister of Norman Clode (Josée) and aunt of Kathy Pelzl and 14 other nieces and nephews.

Elsie was born in Toronto and lived all of her life in the east end and East York.

She volunteered for many years with the Toronto East General Hospital Auxiliary, was active in the Home and School Association of several schools and was a Brownie leader.  Elsie supported her husband Willis in his political career on East York and Metro Councils.

She enjoyed travelling with him and her family, gardening and doing many types of handwork. Elsie will be dearly missed by her many friends and large family.

A funeral service will be held in Toronto on Monday, August 11th.  Cremation.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Westview Presbyterian Church and the Toronto East General Hospital Foundation would be greatly appreciated.

A service in Teresa's memory will be held on Tuesday, August 12th at 11 a.m. at the McEACHNIE FUNERAL HOME, (28 Old Kingston Rd, Ajax).

CLARKE, Etelka (nee Trimble) 

Clarke_EtelkaShe slipped away peacefully at Lakeridge Health Bowmanville on Thursday, August 7, 2014 at the well-earned age of 101.

Etelka was the beloved wife of her forever love, the late Allan Clarke (1962).

She was the loving and supportive mother of her only child, James Clarke.

She was born May 8, 1913, the third of five siblings; Vera (2002), Vern (1986), Lavonne and Phyllis (2003), to Richard Trimble and Gladys (Snowden).

She was known and loved for her caring heart and concern for family and friends following Allan’s tragic death at 51 years. Etelka enjoyed 14 years as a book keeper and saleslady for Harry Locke Television in Bowmanville.

She overcame accidents and health issues in her long life bravely, concerning herself more with the problems of family and a wide circle of friends.

Her treatment at Bowmanville Hospital during her nine-day stay was magnificent. She was treated with dignity and gentleness by her many angel nurses and her family Doctor, Leon Irish.

Friends may pay their respects at the MORRIS FUNERAL CHAPEL, 4 Division Street, Bowmanville on Tuesday, August 12th. There will be visitation one hour before the service at 1 p.m. Interment at Bowmanville Cemetery.

Donations made in Etelka’s memory to the Trinity United Church Organ Fund or to Lakeridge Health Bowmanville would be gratefully appreciated.

Upon retirement, he was so happy to be at his beloved cottage on Silver Birch Beach overlooking the beautiful waters of Georgian Bay.

Ethel was a faithful employee of Hallmark Canada until her retirement at the age of 65 in 1994.

It is with a heavy hearty that we give notice of Peter's peaceful passing on August 3, 2014 after complications of COPD/pneumonia in Oakville-Trafalgar Memorial Hospital (OTMH).

He leaves behind his beloved wife of 63 years Miki, sister Irene Watson, sister-in-law Rose McFarlane, daughter Brenda Johnson (Randy), grandchildren Kyle and Brooke (Jarrod LeDrew). He was predeceased by his parents, brother Irving and sister Betty Florance. Peter was able to make friends easily with his sense of humour, hearty laugh and storytelling, endearing him to all he met. His early years were spent commuting from Toronto to the Toronto Islands. The experiences and lifelong friendships forged on the islands shaped the wonderful man he became.

A husband, father, brother, Clan chief, leader (Mason's and Rotary), life guide, lover of waterside living, gourmet food and spirits (Scotch) are only a few of the qualities that contributed to a life well lived.

He will be missed by all who knew him.

In lieu of a service, visitation or flowers, please consider a donation to the Canadian Lung Association.

A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Bill loved and is loved by his wife Ann; children Liam (Andrea), Emily (Daniel); mother Gwen; sister Dee; grandchildren Liana, Lyla, Carson and extended family.

Bill was a proud member of AMAPCEO and recipient of its first Lifetime Achievement Award.  He was a member of Kingston Camera Club and Toronto/Kingston chapters of the Civil War Round Table Clubs.

Special thanks to St. Elizabeth's Care, especially Glynnis and Kim; and the Kingston Cancer Care Clinic Team. 

Memorial service will be held in Kingston on Wednesday, August 13th.

As expressions of sympathy donations made to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.

NOBLE, Marcelle Pierrette (nee Gaudreault) -

Noble_Marcelle(June 21, 1923 - August 7, 2014) - Passed away peacefully in her home of 60 years where she raised her four children.

Survived by her son Karl, her daughter Sandra, and her grandchildren Luke (Alison), Spencer, and Austin Perry of Cincinnati Ohio.

Predeceased by her son Kurtis (1977), her daughter Kitty (1995), and her parents Georges-Henri and Angelina Gaudreault.

Marcelle will be sadly missed by extended family, brothers, sisters, their spouses, and many nieces and nephews. Marcelle was a very proud to be the oldest sister of 11.

Marcelle worked at Ford Motor Company for 35 years in French Services and enjoyed their monthly retiree lunches. Her hobbies included reading, crosswords, and puzzles, going on bus tours and buying expensive clothes. She also loved her many pets over the years especially her protector Bailey the Yorkie.

A sincere thanks to CCAC and the special PSW’s for their help and support. Our family would also like to thank all of the wonderful neighbours and friends for their kind words and support especially our dear friend Al Kovacic.

A Service of Remembrance will be held in Burlington on Tuesday, August 12th. Cremation has taken place.

If desired, in lieu of flowers, donations to the SPCA would be greatly appreciated.
