OSBORNE, Gloria Delores Osborne ("G", "GG", "Glo"), Died with family at her side, on September 12, 2021, at the age of 83.
Beloved mother of Wayne, grandmother of Vanessa, Wayne Jr., Jeremy, Julian and Sean, and great-grandmother of 7, Gloria was a kind and loving soul who lead a truly extraordinary life.
Born October 10, 1937 in St. Lucia and moving as an infant to Barbados, she became a proud calypso loving Bajan. Her nursing career began in England and later flourished here in Toronto.
Nursing was her passion and she devoted her life to helping people achieve their best quality of life possible.

She was an exceptional individual of many talents who loved meeting people and captivated them with her charm and sense of style.
She was born in Germany and at an early age developed an interest in travelling, meeting new people, and learning languages.

WARD, Doris Louise - Doris succumbed to cancer on September 12, 2021, at the end of a long, interesting and productive life.
She was born on March 19, 1926, in Stuartburn, Manitoba, the second of three daughters born to Anna and Nykyfor Masyk.
She spent her childhood on the farm.
Lived and worked in several places in Manitoba and Ontario before settling in Scarborough in 1958, where she lived for the remainder of her life and where she made many wonderful friends.
She was a businesswoman and a world traveller, as well as being very active in federal and provincial politics for many decades.

SMITH, Robert Thomas William - "Bobby" "Smitty" "Dad" "Uncle Buck" Whatever nickname you had for Robert "Bob" Smith, you could not forget him.
And that unmistakable feeling of knowing Bob will continue to be the case, as we celebrate his memory following his passing on September 12, 2021.
As a talented young hockey player in Toronto, Bob was awarded a full scholarship to the University of New Hampshire in 1969.
Bob's standout goaltending in 1972 won him the Roger A. Leclerc Trophy, which is presented annually to the UNH hockey team's MVP as voted by teammates.

He was born in Montreal on December 25, 1963 and moved to Vancouver in 1989.

Born in Toronto, Joe spent many years in the Wiarton community where he formed many meaningful and treasured relationships. He will be sadly missed by the many wonderful people he met there.

Cenon married the beautiful Corazon "Cora" Yalung in 1963 and spent 58 blessed years with his caring wife.

STRINGER, Chris - Died on September 12, 2021 after a long struggle with cancer.
He is survived by his wife and best friend, Geraldine (nee Tyrrell); daughter, Justine (Steven Carey); son, Jason (Michelle); his sister, Shirley Davey; grandchildren, Steven, Clio, Christopher and Jack Carey, and Jaime Hunt-Stringer, as well as numerous nieces and nephews in the UK and Canada; and by his beloved Basset Hounds, Arabella and Sebastien.

Chris was born at University College Hospital in London, England when V1’s and V2’s were still raining down on London.

FOOTE, Francis 'Frank', 'Frankie' Norman - It is with great sadness that we say goodbye to Frank Foote, born on July 3rd, 1960, who passed away suddenly at the McKenzie Richmond Hill Hospital in the afternoon of Sunday, September 12, 2021.
Frank, as he was known to everyone, succumbed to complications after having a mass removed from his kidney.
Frank is survived by his Mother Alma Foote, his brothers Michael (Mikey) Daniella & David, Linda and his sister Leisa, Phillip and his daughter Jennifer and all his “adopted……step children” and of course his fur baby Bruiser.

JONES, Gina - Our beautiful, fiesty, wise friend Gina passed peacefully into God’s eternal Presence in the early morning of September 12, 2021.
Gina’s was a life of service. She immigrated to Canada following a career as a midwife in England & Wales, and worked for many years in Alberta, Montreal, and latterly Toronto as a psychiatric nurse.
From that experience she was recruited to work with seniors in their homes in Toronto’s Danforth area and North York. She was a gifted and strong advocate for the elderly, and for many other Justice movements, and a Master gardener with a very “green thumb”.
