WRIGHT, Keith - On September 14, 2021, Keith Wright lost his 3-year battle with brain cancer.
He was a loving husband to Cheryl of almost 37 years and a wonderful father to Keira, Trinette (Nick) and Kendal.
He loved life fully.
He enjoyed bike riding in all seasons, traveling (he managed to explore 4 continents), photography (earning a certificate at Sheridan College), music (a member of the East York Barber Shoppers for 4 years) and sailing (a member of the Brampton Power Squadron and crewed at the Highland Yacht Club).
His greatest love was collecting and educating people about the history of recorded music.

It is with sadness, that we announce the death of Carole Ann Legget on Tuesday, September 14, 2021, at St. Michael's Palliative Care Unit, with family by her side.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 66 years, David M. Legget, her daughter Elizabeth Manore (Mark), grandchildren Andrew and Cameron, daughter-in-law Mary Ann Gauthier, her brother Keith Baker (children Daniel, Michael and Randall).

Barbara passed away suddenly but peacefully at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre, having lived 91 years in Ottawa, Winnipeg, Tripoli, and Toronto.
She is survived by her daughters Deborah, Janice, and Diane (Richard).

SAM, Alvin - It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Alvin Sam at the Yee Hong Centre in Mississauga on Tuesday, September 14, 2021 at the age of 88.
Husband to the late Katherine (2015).
Loving father to Charlene (Douglas) and Philip.
Doting grandfather to Heather (Justin), Scott, and Reid McInroy; recent great-grandfather to Liam; dear brother to Steven (Sally); uncle to Colin (Gail) and Michelle (Damon); beloved godfather to Olivia (Jerry).
Born in 1933, Alvin immigrated to Toronto from Guangdong, China at the age of 16.
He worked hard to provide a good life for his family, starting in the family grocery store on St. Clair Ave., to many years with Oshawa Foods before finishing his career with Ontario Produce (the Food Terminal).

GILCHRIST, Christiane Jeanne Claire Marie Legier - April 6, 1931 - September 14, 2021
Beloved wife of the late Donald Hunter Gilchrist for almost 65 years, adored mother of Nancy Ann, Donald (Jeanne DesBrisay) and Jean, and greatly loved Mimsie to Charlotte and Anne Bell, and John, Sara, Kate and Meg Gilchrist.
Christiane was predeceased by brothers Dr. Jacques Legier and Michel Legier.
Christiane was born in Ostend to Dr. Leon Legier and Claire Legier. She lived under occupation for four years before Ostend was liberated by the Manitoba Dragoons in 1944. The lack of proper heating during that time explained her heating rooms to near tropical temperatures year-round. She never wanted to be cold again.

DA LUZ, José - It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Father/Pai, Grandfather/ Vovô and Great-Grandfather/ Bisavô, José Da Luz (Brampton, Ontario) on Tuesday, September 14, 2021 at the age of 95.
José was born in Rabo de Peixe, Sao Miguel (Azores) Portugal on March 18, 1926.
A fisherman by trade, José worked in Sao Miguel (Azores), Terceira (Azores), St. Johns, Newfoundland and finally worked on the CN Tower construction in the early 1970’s.

Ruth Rubinstein was a vibrant woman who lived an exciting life golfing well into her final year.
She enjoyed her winters in Florida and her summers in Collingwood where she lead a very busy social life filled with friends and family.
Ruth will be sadly missed by her long time life partner Steve Burnstein, her devoted sons Randy and Paul (Eva), her grandchildren Sarah and Joseph and her many friends.

PERUGINI, Clotilde - (October 20th, 1923 - Monday, September 13th, 2021) -
Clotilde was born in Cosenza, Italy. She ventured to Halifax, Canada in April of 1954 on a luxury liner named the SS Saturnia. She settled in Toronto where one month later, in May, she met the love of her life, her belated husband Fiorindo Perugini. On November 20th, 1954, they got married.
With $100 in Fiorindo’s pocket and a borrowed pickup truck, they set off to Niagara Falls for their honeymoon. On August 28th, 1955, their first born child Donato was born, and sadly died that same day. Being a newcomer to Canada, Clotilde faced many hardships, but was resilient and determined to move forward and persevere. In July of 1956, Brigide was born. 18 months later, Maria was born. 3 years passed, and Julie was born, and finally, 18 months after that, Tony was born.

He was born December 6, 1938 to John and Lila Hirst of Willowdale. Jack was the beloved father to Michelle Evancio and Lesley "Leeann" Robertson.
He is the Grandfather to Ashley, Hailey, Desiree, Brett and Steven.
Jack is survived by his sister Linda Threlkeld. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Joanne Kelterborn.

BURGESS, Robyn Louise (nee Elliot) - Robyn Louise Burgess (nee Elliot) was born in Scarborough on February 4, 1948 and passed peacefully in Barrie on September 13, 2021 at the age of 73.
Daughter of Ruby and Edgar Elliot (deceased), Robyn is survived by her loving husband of 50 years Peter and her two sons James and Jeff (daughter-in-law Lesley). She was a proud Grandma to Ethan, Kaia and Caeleb.
Robyn worked as an administrative assistant for TCDSB and was active in her community as part of the Barrie South Lions Club.

WONG, Yuk Wah - Passed away on Monday, September 13, 2021.
Our mom was born in Guangdong and grew up in Shanghai.
She moved to Hong Kong in her late teens. She was studying at a nursing school in the evening while working in a family medical clinic during the day.
After roughly ten years of being a clinical nurse, she sacrificed her career so that she could devote her time to her husband, and raise her three girls for about 20 years.
Our mom was a kind, determined, and independent woman who helped others beyond her limits.
