SARGENT, Eva-Maria - It is with sadness that we announce the passing of our Mother Eva-Maria on August 21, 2021 after a short illness.
Eva was born on October 29, 1936 in Frankfurt, Germany and immigrated to Canada in 1956.
She is survived by her daughter Patricia (Barry) and son Raymond (Jill).
Grandmother to Kyle (Sarah), Amber (Brandon), and Shane (Cheryl) and great-grandmother to Riley, Harley, Lachlan, Hayden and Kiera.
Eva loved to travel and Cuba was her favourite place.

MACKAY, Margaret Lucy - Passed away on August 21, 2021.
She grew up in Tamsui, Formosa (now Taiwan), the youngest daughter of Presbyterian missionary parents, George William Mackay and Jean Ross Mackay.
In the Tamsui area, she enjoyed summer hikes in the mountains and baseball with her 2 brothers, Leslie and Ross, and her 2 sisters, Anna and Isabel.
Their grandfather, the legendary George Leslie Mackay, was the first Canadian missionary to Formosa (Taiwan) and he established some of the first medical clinics and a school for girls.
As a child, Margy was homeschooled by her mother and then from grade 2 – grade 13 she attended the Canadian Academy, a school in Kobe, Japan, several days journey away from home by ship.

EATON, Kathleen Ruth (nee BELL) - Kathleen Ruth Eaton, nee Bell, quietly entered into her final rest on Saturday, August 21, 2021, while at Fairmount Home in Kingston, Ontario.
She is survived by her five children: Gail (Garth Smith), Dawn, George (Giselle), Kevin, Gerald (Kim), fourteen grandchildren: Quincy, Mylah, Mellow (and their loving mother Sheryl), Alyna (Remi Dubuisson), Brendon, Craig (Kate Horne-Smith), Jeremy, Sheldon (Anna), Ashley (Sam England), Melissa (Braeden Loney), Heather, Jamieson, Nathaniel, Bailey, and two great-grandchildren: Max and Lili.
She also leaves behind two sisters, Hazel and Hyacinth (Vincent DaCosta), three generations of nephews and nieces too numerous to mention by name, but who she loved dearly and all of whom will miss their beloved Aunt Kathleen.

Patricia, in the comforts of her home, surrounded by love and beauty, passed away peacefully after a long battle with cancer.
Adored wife to husband of 52 years Roy Filion; loving mother to Kristie (Jamie) and Donna (Ben); adoring Grandma to her four beautiful granddaughters: Leah, Kaelyn, Claire and Madeline.

D'EGIDIO, Vincenzina (Patullo) - Suddenly and peacefully on Saturday August 21, 2021.
She will forever be missed by her two children, Amodio and Anna, along with son-in-law Tony.

JANO, Dusan Jano Jr. - It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Dusan Jano Jr. on Friday, August 20, 2021, at the age of 30.
Beloved son of Dusan Jano and Petra Matejkova. Dear brother to Denisa and Jamie.
Dusan was a very caring and creative person who was always thinking outside the box.
He was always offering to help others; such a kind soul. He spent many years volunteering at the Garden Court Nursing Home.
Although he faced his personal struggles we take some comfort in knowing he was always trying to get better.

CURL, Edward George (Ted) - (August 3, 1935 - August 20, 2021)
It's been a great ride!" These recent words by Ted Curl bring great comfort to both family and friends upon his passing.
Ted had an extraordinary life. His first summer job would take him from Oshawa to the Banff Springs Hotel where he landed a role in "Oklahoma" directed by Norman Jewison.
Ted's first full time job was as an announcer at CJCS radio in Stratford, where he met his first love, Kathleen (Kay) Melligan. They shared their life together for more than 45 years until her passing in 2000.
Together Ted and Kay built a wonderful home for their children, Kim (David) and Kelly (Vivian), on Avon Court in Whitby. Their family home was the centre of many neighbourhood parties and bonfires by the creek.

CORBETT, Marvelle Blanche (nee White) - (February 16, 1926 – August 20th, 2021) - It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Marvelle Blanche White at the age of 95 at Erin Mills Lodge on August 20, 2021.
Marvelle Blanche Corbett was born February 16, 1926 in Artemesia Township, Grey County, to Ethel White (nee Middaugh) and Robert White.
Predeceased by loving husband Robert Corbett and brothers and sisters Everett, Harvey, Raymond, John, Clarence, Alma and Irene. Marvelle was the devoted mother of Janice Corbett-McKay and Joyce Humbert, mother-in-law of Roger Humbert, loving grandmother of Michael Corbett-McKay and Daniel Corbett-McKay and beloved aunt of many nephews and nieces.

COOKE, Alverda - (1927 - 2021) - Alverda Cooke passed away peacefully on Friday, August 20th, 2021, at her home at Bough Beeches Place in Mississauga, with her family by her side.
She was predeceased by her husband James Cooke and her brother Ross Armstrong.
She is survived by her sister-in-law Margaret Armstrong, nephews David (Susan), and Steven (Doreen), grand nieces and nephews Drew (Monique), Cori, Ryan, and Kurt, great grand-niece and nephew Emma and Kyle, as well as many other family members.

GRIMBLE, Joanne - It is with much sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Joanne Grimble, on August 20, 2021.
Joanne was born on July 20, 1934, in Australia, and immigrated to Canada in her 30's.
Joanne is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Lindsay and Clare Grimble; her niece, Michelle Bone (Lewis); and grandnieces Emily and Georgia; her nephew, Colin Grimble (Sue); and grandnephews Sean and Lachlan, all of whom reside in Australia. Joanne was lovingly called Tup by her family.
Joanne worked for most of her career as a Law Clerk in Toronto. She loved travelling, cycling, downhill skiing, and tennis where she met many of her close friends.
Joanne loved classical music and theatre and fed her keen intellect by attending various lecture series through institutions associated with Toronto universities.

ROLLO, Douglas James Karl - September 23, 1961 - August 20, 2021
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Douglas (D.J.) on August 20, 2021 at William Osler Hospital after a determined and short fight against cancer.
Doug attended Etobicoke Collegiate and graduated with a B.A. from Guelph University. D.J. was involved with the Expert Racing Powerboat Team in both Canada and the U.S.
He patrolled central Alberta as a Forest Ranger and later worked in oil field pipeline construction.
Doug excelled with Caldwell Banker and Royal Le Page for 35 years.
During the summer months, Doug helped his father Douglas build the family cottage at Grandview Beach on Georgian Bay. Doug was frugal, mechanically inclined and often bragged about the fish he landed.

Tim died peacefully, at Norwood Nursing Home, on Friday, August 20, 2021, at the age of 89.
He was just shy of his 90th birthday. Tim loved jazz, art, cars, fashion and his faithful cat, Mittens.

It is with deep sadness that we announce Mary's passing on August 20, 2021 at the age of 81.
Beloved wife of her late husband Victor.
Loving mother to Peter (Cheryl), Mike (Tisa), and predeceased son Steven; cherished Baba of Evangeline and Maksym.
Mary will be greatly missed by her friends and family as we mourn her passing, but the happy memories will allow us to remember her with love and joy in our hearts.

DRENNAN, Stephen William - Lunenburg, Nova Scotia It is with great sadness that the family of Stephen William Drennan, of Lunenburg, Nova Scotia, announce his passing, on Friday, August 20, 2021.
Steve was born on March 4, 1960, in East York Township, Ontario, and lived in the province between East York, Oshawa and Scarborough, before moving to Nova Scotia in 1975.
After graduating high school in 1978, Steve attended NSCC in Cape Breton to study small engine mechanics driven by his love for motorcycles.
Over the years, he was very active in sports including hockey, rugby, and race car driving.
During his racing career he took part in many Moosehead Grand Prix, representing his signature number 44, with his proud family members as his pit crew.

CARR, Anthony (Tony) James - July 20, 1944 – August 20, 2021
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Tony Carr at Alexander Place, Waterdown after his ten-year battle with Alzheimer's Disease.
Tony was the loving husband of Andrea.
He will be missed by his wife and step-children Melissa (Hugh) and Brad (Kate).
He was the most wonderful grandpa to Tilda and Owyn, and enjoyed every minute he could spend with them.
He also would have been a loving grandfather to Esme and Evan as they grew up.
Tony will also be missed by his sister Anne, nephew Chris, niece Jo and all his friends and family in England.

JEFFRIES, Linda Louise Jeffries - Born on February 14, 1944 to Alexander and Myrtle Johnston of New Liskeard, Ontario.
Passed on August 20, 2021.
Eldest sister to Alice, Margaret, Elizabeth and Jennifer, Linda loved playing outdoors with her siblings.
She spent much of her formative years in Australia and then her family moved to London, Ontario. Here she met her soulmate, Allen Stuart Jeffries.
They wed on February 11, 1966 and together they raised Craig, Cathy and Cheryl, as well as many furry companions.
The Jeffries family travelled through the United States and Canada camping and exploring many of the state and provincial parks.
