Survived by his loving mother Mary. Predeceased by parents Eric and Shirley. sisters Shirley Cocklin and Brenda (Glen) Taylor (nee Cocklin), brothers Eldon (Lynne) Cocklin, Charles Cocklin, and Bruce (Trish) Cocklin.

Cherished grandson of Isabel and the late Robert Dickey. Uncle of Matt (Laura) Cocklin, Jonathan (Stacey) Cocklin, Kaitlyn (Andrew) McElroy, Michelle (Nick) Taylor, Michael (Elyse) Taylor, Patrick (Dyann) Cocklin, and Jason (Katherine) Cocklin.

Paul will be missed by extended family, friends, many nieces and nephews.

Family wishes to thank the ladies for their kind care at Forest House, Lori, Kathy and Kym, you are family.

Paul worked for 19 years at Arc Industries in Burlington and was a special part of their team.

An extended thanks to the friends at Fairfax House.

Beloved wife of the late Rev. Donald Scott Dinnick (October 12, 1981) of the Fellowship of Evnagelical Baptist Churchs of Canada.

Devoted mother of John Victor Dinnick and his wife Janet (nee Henkleman) of Millbrook. Grandmother of Kevin (Kim) of Peterborough, Christopher, Lauren and Nathan Dinnick all of Millbrook; great-grandmother of Isaiah, Isabella and the late Elijah (September 2010).

Only sister of Rev. Victor Wood of Bracebridge and Donald Mitchell of Peterborough. Gladys was an aunt to Laurence Robert Wood (Michelle: nee Close) of Washago.

Gladys was predeceased by her parents Eldred Lawrence and his wife Emily (nee Geer) and her sister-in-law Florence Wood (nee Fry).

She trained as a Salvation Army Officer - Hold Fast Session 1940 and served in Orangeville, Byng Avenue (Scarborough) and Woodbine (Toronto) Corps. She was a devoted Baptist pastor's wife, and avid seamstress, quilter and knitter.

Visitation will take place from 7 - 9 pm on Monday and 10 am until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 am on Tuesday, March 4th at FERNDALE BIBLE CHURCH, 25 Ferndale Avenue, Peterborough. Interment will take place at Erskine Cemetery, Pickering.

Arrangements entrusted to   COMSTOCK FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 356 Rubidge Street, Peterborough.

Peacefully, at the Dorothy Ley Hospice following a short stay on Saturday, March 1, 2014.

Born January 9, 1955 in Toronto, David was the dearly beloved son of Marjorie and the late Harvie Randolph Eaton. He will be fondly remembered by his cousin Linda Kerwin of Forest, Ontario and her extended family. Also cousins in England (Janette Mapp and family, Carolyn and Bill Field and family and Lillian Lewis, wife of cousin Philip (deceased)).

Special thanks to Marjorie's best friend and caregiver, Virginia, and thanks also for the valuable help of April and Winsome. David was an employee of Ontario Hose Specialties for more than 30 years, a family business, he saw it grow to a now prosperous, thriving company. He was admired and appreciated by his workmates for his dedication and knowledge.

Funeral Service will be held in Mississauga on Thursday, March 6th.

Born February 5, 1922 in Burton-on-Trent, England.

Predeceased by her husband John A. Fletcher.

Mother of Peter (Phyllis) Fletcher, Leslie Wright and Paul (Lorraine) Fletcher. Grandmother to Nicola (Jason), Gary (Alison), Matthew (Stephanie), Michael and Andrew (Stacey). Great-grandmother to Ella, Jack, Cameron and Addison.

Will also be missed by Stuart Moulton, Elizabeth Chapman and Emma Moulton.

Memorial Service in Brampton on Saturday, March 15th.

Beloved husband of Irene Fogg. Loving father of Brian (Sharon) and Glenice (Ron) Martin, Janet (Nick) Larter and Maureen Olivier. Cherished Bumpa of Della (Matthew), Alicia (Ken), Christina (Mike), Suzanne (Dale), Rebekah, Matthew, Sarah and Kaitlin. Great- grandfather of Elainna, Avery and Bray. Predeceased by his first wife Dorothy "Pat" (1987), his parents Harry and Martha; and his sister Eunice Del Medico.

John served his country as a member of the Governor General's Horse Guards and the Canadian Provost Corps receiving his commission at Sandhurst.

On his return to Canada John worked for the Toronto Police Department, Traffic Division and the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board. In his "retirement" he was Head Supervisor - Security for the Toronto Blue Jays Baseball Club.

Funeral Service in Oakville on Thursday, March 6th.  Private Interment.

She was loved and cherished by everyone who knew her.

Loving mother of Barbara, Darlene and Walter. She will be sadly missed by her grandchildren, Sean and Lisa Robertson, Jannah Rowe, Ryan Giesche & Kevin Scanlon, and her great grandchildren, Courtney, Matthew, Holy, Dominic, Amarette and Kieran.

She was a gracious, kind, smart and funny lady. She raised her family with energy, dedication & commitment and made sure that we were always cared for.

In her retirement years, she worked as a Crossing Guard for Oakville’s school children and loved every minute of it, protecting and loving each child under her care.

Passed away peacefully on Saturday March 1st, 2014 in his 90th year at Lakeridge Health Oshawa.

George was a WWII veteran who served with the Royal Canadian Air Force.

In 1960, representing Oshawa, George and his partner won the Canadian Men’s Doubles Lawn Bowling Championship which was held in Edmonton. This wonderful accomplishment led to his induction into the Oshawa sports Hall of Fame in 2005.

George is predeceased by his first wife Lois (Yourth).

Beloved husband and best friend of Doreen for 26 years. Proud father of Ellen (Ernie), Diane (Robyn) and step-daughter Lynne (John).

Remembered by his grandchildren and great grandchild.

A private family service has taken place.

Past Master of Flower City Masonic Lodge no. 689 AF & AM of Brampton, ON; Master of Hackett Loyal Orange no. 805 of London, ON; and member of Innis Killing Royal Black Knights of Ireland no. 834.

Passed away peacefully on March 1, 2014 at Belmont House in Toronto at age 82 after a long struggle with Parkinson's disease.

Ashton was predeceased last year by Joan, his wife of 55 years.

He is survived by his daughter Julia (Robert), sons Ian (Ann) and James (Lisa) and grandchildren Andrew, Sean, Lauren, Virginia and Zoe. Ashton was a passionate educator who was inspired by school and teachers from an early age. While growing up on the family farm near Smithville, Ontario, he attended a local one room schoolhouse and was delighted to have his teacher live as a boarder at his family's home one winter. After graduating from high school in 1950, he obtained a teaching certificate and began his career as a primary school teacher in Hamilton.

While enjoying city life, he attended night school at McMaster University where he met Joan and graduated with a B.A. in 1955. Ashton and Joan were married in 1957. A few months later, Ashton graduated with a B.Ed. from the University of Toronto.

Reasoning that if a little was good, more would be better, Ashton and Joan moved to New York City where Ashton pursued graduate studies at Columbia University. He completed an M.A. in Educational Psychology in 1958 and a Doctor of Education in 1960.

After returning from New York, Ashton pursued his career as a Lecturer at the Toronto Teachers' College from 1960 to 1965. He then became Chief Psychologist with The Peel Board of Education, a role he loved until his retirement in 1986.

Proud grandmother of Kevin (Suzanne) and Karen Skleryk (Richard). Great-grandmother of Cole, Eden, Myles and Mason Moorhead and Joshua, Nathan and Kate Skleryk. Sister of Francis Fry, the late Jack Alexander and Helen Johnston and step-sister to the late Atha Boisvert, Frank Alexander, Edward Alexander, Evert Alexander, John Alexander, Sadie Shannon and Verna Palfrey.

The family would like to thank the staff of The Village of Humber Heights in appreciation of their care for the past 7 years.

1948 - 2014

Randy Morgan died early on Saturday, March 1, 2014 with his wife, Carole and her brother, Michael, by his side.

His death followed a brief but brutal struggle with a very aggressive cancer.

Randy was asymptomatic and led a robust life until early February, when he became ill and it was determined that effective treatment was not an option.

Carole Broadley, Randy's cherished wife and his canine kid Rupert are devastated by their loss. Carole and Rupert are very grateful for the friendship and support they have received from near and far. He was predeceased by his parents, Kathleen and William Morgan, sister Sheila Morgan, brother Jake Morgan. He is survived by and is lovingly remembered by brothers Bill, (Edith), Russ, Roy, Tom and Joe; sisters, Sharon Sloan-Short (Ray), Susie and Donna. Several generations of Randy's extended family are grieving the loss of a favourite uncle. Randy is deeply missed by his brother-in-law, Michael Broadley (Bonnie); nephews, Peter (Jenna), Stephen (Lisa), Nicholas (Mallory) Broadley; niece, Sariah Grigg (Jonathan). Randy Morgan was one-of-a-kind as his legions of friends can attest. Randy and Carole relocated to Goderich from Toronto in 2006.

They would have celebrated their 32nd anniversary this coming August and they were blissfully happy in their restored century home. A small private service and cremation have already taken place.

A celebration of Randy's life will be held at a later date, when weather and travel permit.

Notice will be sent in advance of the date. Heartfelt thanks go out to Dr. Radan and the nursing staff at AMGH for their extraordinary care.

Newlands_KathleenPeacefully, on Saturday, March 1st, 2014 at Allendale, Milton. Kathleen, in her 97th year.

Wife of the late Major John Newlands.

Loving mother of Patricia (David), Barbara (Richard), Jane and Catherine (the late Craig). Loved grandmother of Amanda, Bryan, Cameron, Brendan, Sarah, Katie and great-grandmother of Emma. Predeceased by her two brothers, Terry and Ed.

Kathleen served as a Lieutenant in the Canadian Woman's Army Corps during World War II. One of her duties was to help war brides in England, prepare to come to Canada.

After marriage, she was happily a stay-at-home mom for her four daughters. In her 60's she took on a part time job working in historical houses in Toronto. She had a great love for crafts and definitely had a green thumb.

A memorial service will be held at Allendale, Milton at a later date. Cremation has taken place.

In memory contributions to the Willow Foundation would be appreciated.

Passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 1, 2014 surrounded by his loving family.

Gregory is now reunited with his loving wife Maria.

He was the beloved father to Christine (Stavros) and loving grandfather to Niko, Gregory, Christos and Anthoula. Loving brother to Christina (Bob).

He will be dearly missed by his family and friends, but they take solace from his devoted faith which was exemplified by the final blessing he offered to his family before his passing.

A funeral service will take place at St. John's Metropolis on Friday, March 7, 2014 at 10 a.m.

Harold was predeceased by his grandson Andrew, great-granddaughter Alessia, and his brother Siegmond (1988).

Public visitation to occur at ANDREWS COMMUNITY FUNERAL CENTRE, (8190 Dixie Rd., Brampton 905-456-8190) from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 pm on Wednesday March 5th.

Funeral Service to take place at 10:30 am at St. John Fisher Roman Catholic Church (330 Balmoral Dr, Brampton, ON.) on Thursday March 6th.

PARKER, Donald (Donnie) -

April 10, 1954 - March 1, 2014

The late Don Parker was a loving husband to Jackie.

Father to David (Shelley) and Dean; brother to Gord (Mary) and John; and friend to all who knew him.

He was the guy next door that would be there the minute anyone needed anything. He did everything with great passion and flare; everyone knew Donny Parker. His love of family and friends was matched through his passion for his years as a firefighter, fixing cars and his love of the outdoors.

Don Parker will be greatly missed by those that knew him for his quick wit, his friendly smile and his contagious laughter. 

Funeral Service will be held in Scarborough on Thursday, March 6th.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Salvation Army or to Camp Buck.
