Ashton was predeceased last year by Joan, his wife of 55 years.

He is survived by his daughter Julia (Robert), sons Ian (Ann) and James (Lisa) and grandchildren Andrew, Sean, Lauren, Virginia and Zoe. Ashton was a passionate educator who was inspired by school and teachers from an early age. PARKER, Donald (Donnie) Parker - Obituary | Print |

PARKER, Donald (Donnie) -

April 10, 1954 - March 1, 2014

The late Don Parker was a loving husband to Jackie.

Father to David (Shelley) and Dean; brother to Gord (Mary) and John; and friend to all who knew him.

He was the guy next door that would be there the minute anyone needed anything. He did everything with great passion and flare; everyone knew Donny Parker. His love of family and friends was matched through his passion for his years as a firefighter, fixing cars and his love of the outdoors.

Don Parker will be greatly missed by those that knew him for his quick wit, his friendly smile and his contagious laughter.

Funeral Service will be held in Scarborough on Thursday, March 6th.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Salvation Army or to Camp Buck.
