Predeceased by brother Tommy. Brother in law to Allie, Lillias (John), Grace (Allan), Alex (Seila), Jim (Isobel), Mary (John) and David. George will be missed by his extended family, friends and all who knew him in Scotland and Canada.

Wife of the late George Moffat. Beloved mother of John (Nancy) of Warsaw, Ontario and the late Laurel (2006).

Grandma will be sadly missed by Daphne, George, James, Mary, Janet, Lorna, Shona and her 12 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by 7 sisters and 1 brother. Survived by several nieces and nephews.

A Service will take place on Sunday, November 16, 2014 at 11:00 am, at North Runnymede United Church, 33 Pritchard Avenue, Toronto, Ontario, M6N 1T4, Reverend Kathryn Pater officiating. Private interment at a later date.

Sheila, beloved wife of Vic for 39 wonderful years. Loving mother of Joanna, Laura and Michael. Dear daughter of Joyce Beck. Survived by her sisters Donna Campbell, Gloria Gartshore, Vicki Beck and her brother James Beck and their families.

Passed away peacefully at Trilogy Long Term Care in Scarborough.

Beloved husband of Betty (Elizabeth Curtis) for 63 years. Proud father of Anne Goldson (John), Ellen Martin and Elayne Burt (Dave). Loving brother to Archie, Dave and Fred. Will be missed by his grandchildren Kristy, Sheryl, Robert, Alex, Joshua and Jenna. Great grandfather to Zacari, Curtis, Robin and Elizabeth. His loss will be felt by his cousins, in-laws, nieces, nephews and many friends.

John was born in Cabbagetown. His lifelong friends Harry Fairman and Mel Thomas predeceased him. John enjoyed singing in many choirs.

He was an energetic golfer, gardener, whistler, walker, fisherman, horse lover, stock market guru, Blue Jay fan and Maple Leafs supporter. His favourite saying was "Do unto others…"

John completed his Commerce Degree at University of Toronto at night school. He was a loyal and longtime employee of Canada Life.

Memorial Service will be held in Scarborough, on Sunday, November 9th.

Passed away quietly in his sleep at Peterborough Regional Health Centre on October 30, 2014.

A native of west Toronto and a brave veteran of the Canadian Army, 48th Highlander Regiment.

Served in England, Belguim, Holland and Germany during World War II. George had a long career with CN, then VIA Rail.

After retirement he volunteered with Save the Rouge Valley System and loved to travel with his beloved wife Joan, who predeceased him on November 3, 2013. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren James, John, Andrew and Jessica, drawing, making paper airplanes and vacationing in Haliburton.

Survived by his sister June (Mike), brother Chuck (Diane) and children George (Linda) and Leanne (Charlene).

Now at peace and reunited with Joan, the love of his life.

Cremation has taken place and an interment service will be held in Toronto, on Saturday, November 8th.

It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of Dulce, loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend.

Mom left us on October 30, 2014 after a courageous battle with cancer.

She was surrounded by her entire family and is survived in life by her husband Lino, two daughters Lee (Ken), Cathy (Paul), her sister Maria Celeste (Joaquim Emilio), brothers Antonio, Helder (Ermilinda) and beloved aunt Maria Joao. "Vovo" was also blessed with 6 grandchildren, Joshua, Mikayla, Ethan, Nicholas, Daniella and Olivia.

The celebration of Mom's Life will be held in Toronto, on Tuesday, November 4th.

The family would like to honour all those who cared for Mom at Centenary Hospital and Providence Health Care Hospital.

After a long and full life Gerry passed away peacefully at home surrounded by the love of family and friends at the age of 92.

Cherished daughter of the late John Mann Summers and Gertrude Mary Summers (nee Hardie).

Gerry was predeceased by her husband and the love of her life Edward John Grace.

Loving mother of Paul, Ian (Arlene), Trisha (Takashi), Ted (Andrea), Moira (Michael), Tony (Jonelle) and Sheila (Jamie). Deeply missed by grandchildren Rachel, Jason, Ryuji, Jack, Finn, Evelyn, Michaela, Ryan and Isabella. Mum had an adventurous life as part of the Women's Air Force during WWII working in radar, then as a student of Fine Arts at the Glasgow School of Art and later studied at the Accademia di Belle Arti di Firenze in Tuscany, Italy.

She arrived in Toronto in 1953 and met our Dad and embarked on family life - as she would say - her greatest adventure! Mum dedicated her life to our family and was an extraordinary mother. She was cherished by all who knew her.

Special thanks to the compassionate care of Lailani DeCampo and Tiina Kumpunen, as well as Dr. Jennifer Shapiro and Dr. Victor Cellarius and the palliative care team of the Temmy Latner Centre for Palliative Care for treating our mother with dignity and love.

Funeral service will be held in Toronto, on Sunday, November 2nd.  Interment to follow.

Donations can be made in Gerry's name to support her favourite charity, Covenant House.

Beloved wife of the late Norman.

Cherished mother of Larry (Barbara), Susan Silliker (Gary) and Jean (Paul). Devoted Grandma of Tammy, Teri (Steve), Isaac and Great-Grandma of Heather, Lindsay, James and Evan.

Margaret was the central pillar of her family, for friends and the community. She was a kind and loving soul who accepted everyone and had a special place in her heart for those who were going through difficult times.

Margaret was a loving mom and grandma not only to her immediate family but also to people around her.

She touched the lives of many.

Margaret worked hard throughout her life in many roles, but particularly enjoyed a lengthy career as a teacher's support aide at Lucy McCormick Public School and in the dining hall at Burwash Hall, University of Toronto.

Funeral Service will be held in Toronto, on Saturday, November 1st.

He will be greatly missed by his many nieces, nephews, friends and most of all his loving and devoted friend Faith. Bob worked many years with Remax Ultimate Realty and took great pride and joy in helping people.

Art Meyer died peacefully at the Veterans' wing of Sunnybrook Hospital in Toronto on October 30, 2014 at the age of 95.

Loving husband of the late Ann Meyer, Art is survived by his sister Sarah Kirzner, his children Frank (Barbara), Paul (Judy) and Jenny (Jim) and his grandchildren Gillie, Noah, Suzanne; Alina, Laura, Aaron; Trevor, Jake, Max and many nieces and nephews. Art was born May 17, 1919 to Frank and Jennie Meyer, the only son following five sisters.

A soldier and a lover of literature, Art was at his best reciting a poem, telling a joke or recounting a story. He was a consummate handyman and had a successful career as a maintenance supervisor at Baycrest Centre.

He will be lovingly remembered as a generous, thoughtful and caring person who lives on in the special memories of all who knew him.

Art's family thanks the caring staff of K1 West at Sunnybrook.

The family will welcome visitors this Saturday and Sunday, 12 - 3 p.m., at 8 Henderson Avenue.

72, originally from Galle, Sri Lanka died October 30, 2014 at 12:35 p.m. at Mackenzie Health in Richmond Hill while surrounded by his loving wife and children as well as a Buddhist monk.

He was receiving blessings according to the Buddhist tradition when he passed away peacefully.

He leaves behind his beloved wife Srima; his son Chamath and his wife Brigette and their kids Braeden, Sloane and Cole; his daughter Hasini and her husband Russell and their son Zachary; and his daughter Kithmini and her husband Omar.

Funeral services be held in East Maple, on Sunday, November 2nd.

A memorial service and reception will follow from 3-5 p.m. that same day.

Peacefully, surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, October 30, 2014.

Nell was born in Saskatchewan on May 15, 1923, one of 17 children in a Ukrainian farming family.

In her late teens Nell moved to Toronto, where she worked until she retired in the early 1980s. After retiring, Nell spent much of her time caring for the sick and elderly.

A devout Catholic, she was a parishioner at Holy Cross Catholic Church for almost 50 years.

She was fondly known as "Auntie Nell", not only by her immediate family but by many who had the privilege of knowing her. Auntie Nell lived in her apartment independently up until four days before her death.

She attended mass regularly and looked forward to her monthly sojourn to Casino Rama with her seniors' group. Nell was a happy and positive person who was a delight to be around.

This amazing lady will be sadly missed by her family, her many dear friends and those she helped.

A Funeral Mass will be held at Holy Cross Catholic Church (291 Cosburn Ave.) on Tuesday, November 4, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. There will be a visitation at Holy Cross from 12:30 p.m. until the time of service.

Beloved mother of Michael Sawicky (Laura) and Patricia Raymer (Bruce). Loving grandmother to Peter (Erin), Katelyn, Stefan, Katrina and Shannon. Great-grandmother to baby Averie.

She will be sadly missed by her loving brother Charlie Browne and his family.

Funeral Mass will take place on Tuesday, November 4th at 9 a.m. at St. Elizabeth Seton Parish, 17955 Leslie Street, Newmarket.  Interment to follow.

Schreiner_MadelinePeacefully at Trillium Mississauga Hospital on Thursday, October 30, 2014, at the age of 85.

Mom treasured her family, sons Larry (Marilyn) and Michael, granddaughters Laura and Sarah and late grandson Robert. She will also be missed by her brother Jim Pendlebury and was predeceased by her brother John and sister Elizabeth.

Madeline will be remembered for her sense of humour and sharp wit which were with her to her final days.

In accordance with Madeline's wishes, there will be no visitation or formal funeral service.

There will be a private family farewell at a later date.

Scurfield_ThomasPassed away suddenly on October 30, 2014 at the age of 78.

Survived by loving children Lynn and Shawn and dear sisters Marion Wolfenden and Audrey Roberts. Missed and remembered by all of his family and friends.

Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held in Oakville, at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 9th.

STEGNAJIC, Vitomir -

April 12, 1927 - October 30, 2014

Loving husband, father, role model, erudite engineer, WWII slave labor camp survivor, Renaissance man and committed Serb and highly successful humanitarian organizer, died on Thursday October 30, 2014.

He died peacefully, the way he wanted it, with dignity and control, at the Palliative Care ward of Toronto East General Hospital in his 88th year. In his final journey, he was surrounded by his family and friends, supporting him with love and respect, the way he showed and inspired us throughout his life. Vitomir was predeceased by his wife Nada Stegnajic, who died 15 years ago from leukemia.

He is survived by his children Predrag (Yvonne) and Snezana (Bohdan) and his four grandkids Luke, Zachary, Nicholas and Maxim. He is also survived by his nephew Mladen Tudorovic (Mira), with whom he was very close and his two children Tijana and Bojana.

In the last 10 years of his life, he was lucky to have found a best friend and loving confidante in Radmila Pantelic, who stood by him to the very end.

Funeral service will be held on Friday, November 7, 2014 at the Holy Transfiguration Serbian Monastery in Milton at 11 a.m. A short reception will be held afterwards.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Toronto East General Hospital Foundation.

Rest in peace Dad, our "Noble Seed", we will never forget you.
