Hillsborough, NB, 86, died at The Moncton Hospital on June 23, 2015 after a lengthy illness.

Born in Toronto. Retired from Petro-Canada.

Sadly missed by daughter Laurie Richter, son-in-law Wilf Richter, daughter-in-law Jeanne Hamill and grandchildren Aaron Richter, Alexis and Mackenzie Hamill and his brothers.

Predeceased by wife Shirley and son Dean. No service.

Donations may be made on his behalf to the Canadian Cancer Society.

His body will be donated to Dalhousie University for research.

Beloved wife of the late Matthew Kamstra (2000). Loving and caring mother of the late Aaffien "Angie" (2014) and Ron Couper of Burlington, Peter and Jo-Anne Kamstra, Janet and Willy Havenaar, all of Flamborough, Anita and Ben Poort of Burlington, Theodora Ng of Waterdown, the late Johnny (1968), Renee and Peter Van Dyk of Burlington, Herman and Sylvia Kamstra of Dunnville, and Michelle and Ralph Frebold of Hamilton. Loved grandmother of twenty-nine grandchildren and twenty-seven great-grandchildren.

Predeceased by her grandson Daniel Poort, and granddaughter Lauren Havenaar.

Dear sister-in-law of Annie and the late Klaas Aikema, Herman and the late Grace Kamstra, Weike and the late Dick Kamstra, and Teddy and John Hordyk, all of Burlington. She is predeceased by her brothers and sisters in The Netherlands: Annie and Menno Norden, Jan and Anna de Jonge, Jantje and Jacob Wieringa and Timmen and Sjouke de Jonge.

She will also be fondly remembered by her nieces and nephews in Canada and The Netherlands.

Family will receive friends at EBENEZER CANADIAN REFORMED CHURCH, 607 Dynes Rd., Burlington on Thursday from 6-9 p.m., where a Funeral Service will be held on Friday, June 26, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. The Reverend G. Nederveen officiating. Interment.

He is survived by his brother Bill and his sister Edith.

With sadness we announce the passing of Mary Mate on June 23, 2015 at the age of 82 at Humber River Hospital (Church).

Predeceased by her husband Lajos (November 7, 2011), she leaves behind her beloved son Joseph.

She will be missed by her brother George (Veronica) and her many nieces and nephews in Quebec, Alberta and British Columbia.

Service held in Toronto on Thursday, June 25th. Private cremation followed.

It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden and untimely passing of Kevin on June 23, 2015.

Born in Mississauga, is survived by his mother Barbara McCauley, brother Mark McCauley, his two sons Adrian, Lucas, aunt Janice, uncle Ron Baron and grandparents Ken and June McCauley.

He will be greatly missed by his extended family and friends. Kevin was a fun loving soul with strong spirit and deep love for his family.

He taught us that we sometimes need to pause, to put our own challenges aside and reach out to others in love.

Celebration of his life to be held at Chartwell Baptist Church, 1880 Lakeshore Rd. W., Mississauga, on Saturday, July 4th at 1 p.m. Reception to follow.

Fondly remembered by Jeff, Gramma Bert, brother-law, Dale, her nieces and nephews, great aunt and uncles extended family members and her many friends and acquaintances.

Payette_DianePassed away suddenly as the result of a heart attack on Tuesday June 23, 2015 at the age of 75.

Beloved wife of 32 blessed years to Doug Brown. Loving mother to Shane Payette and Chantal Payette; step-mother to Yvonne Harris, Joseph Brown, and Matthew Brown; mother-in-law to Wendy Payette, Adam Rymer, David Harris, Angela Demke Brown and Catherine Brown.

Proud grandmother to Megan Payette, Justin Payette, Jenna Payette and Wolfe Rymer; step-granmother to Lauren Brown, Jayson Brown, and Colin Brown.

She valiently triumphed over illness to return home from a three-month hospital stay for two months. Her tremendous courage, her wit and wisdom will be sorely missed. 

A celebration of Diane's life will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday July 25th outdoors at BOSTON PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH, 9185 Third Line/Boston Church Road, Halton Hills, Ontario. Passed away at Trillium Hospital on June 23, 2015 at the age of 64.

Devoted husband for 36 years to Leigh (Harris) and loving father to their children James and Caitlin.

Predeceased by his parents Jim and Irene Pedlar (Davison). Favourite son-in-law of Lorna Harris (Spear). Much loved brother of Darlene Copeland, Donna Pedlar, Debbie Pedlar and Cathy Hillis and brother- in-law of Ron Hillis and Carman Murphy (deceased). Uncle of Angie Linton, Jason Hillis (Heather), Carmen Pedlar, Brandie Hillis (Scott) and Amanda Hillis, as well as great-uncle of Josh, Jordin, Bryden, Cameron, Jackson and a new baby due in October.

He will also be missed by Leigh's family: Jean and Laurie Watt, Dave and Marcia Spear and their families. Very involved in Scouting for many years, Scouter Ron will be missed by many of the youth and leaders who knew him.

Friends may call at Meadowvale Visitation Centre, 7732 Mavis Road, Brampton, on Friday, June 26th from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 27th at 10:30 a.m., with reception following.

In his last act of kindness, Ron was a registered organ donor.

Norman was born in 1942, son of Walter and Norma Peel of Lindsay, Ontario. Norman died June 23, 2015 peacefully at his home near Strathroy, Ontario. He is survived by brother Bill (Chris) of London, daughter Susan (Thom) of Lindsay, son Ron (Dawna) of Tottenham, step-son Scott (Mary) of London, grandchildren Tanya, Brittany, Grant, Lexie, Alanna and Tommy, and great grandchildren Caden, Lucas, Carter and Hudson. Norman is predeceased by wife Jean Targon and second wife Susan Obernesser.

Norm was a very respected lawyer with a criminal law practice in the London, Ontario area for over 40 years. He served in the Canadian Forces as Lieutenant Colonel in the Office of the Judge Advocate General. Norm taught law and lectured in many criminal law fields.

A private family memorial service will be held in the near future.

Loving father of Sandra Ballard of Oakville, Glenda Bennett and her husband the late Gary of Dwight, Wanda Candolini of Port Bolster and Brenda Romeo and her husband Cosmo of Pickering.

Predeceased by his son Alan. Loving grandpa of Leila (Mike), Alanna (Paul), Phillip (Jill), Rebecca (Scott), Jennifer (Josh), Paul (Jessie), Michael, Jeremie (Tara), Marybeth (AJ), Joey (Danielle) and Andrea and great-grandpa of thirteen.

The last surviving child of Joseph and Edna Peterbaugh, Al is remembered by his sister-in-law Florence Peterbaugh, the families of his brothers and sisters and his many friends.

Resting at the Forrest & Taylor Funeral Home, 20846 Dalton Road, Sutton, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday.

Loving mother to James (Susan) and the late Adam. Cherished grandmother to Sophia and Katherine.

Will be fondly remembered by her extended family and many friends.

Christine led a full and wonderful life, always looking for a new adventure or experience. She was a teacher for the Toronto Catholic District School Board until retirement. She was also a member of many organizations and clubs and had a true passion for travelling. She will be dearly missed.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, June 26th at 1:00 p.m. at ST. MARGARET OF SCOTLAND CATHOLIC CHURCH (Avenue Rd., south of Wilson), Toronto. Burial to follow.

Born on January 31, 1942 in Pisticci, Italy, the fourth of five children. When he was 11 years of age, his family moved to Canada and settled in Toronto. It was there that he later met his loving wife, Lina, whom he married on June 17, 1967. Vince and Lina began a wonderful life together and had three sons, Leo, Joe and Daniel.

Vince was a loving, generous and humble man. He had a big heart and genuinely welcomed all who entered his home. His sons remember how much he enjoyed playing with them, taking them on outings, and all the fun activities they enjoyed together. He was truly a family man – his family meant everything to him.

On June 23, 2015, six days after celebrating his 48th wedding anniversary, Vince peacefully fell asleep in death surrounded by his loving family.

Vince is survived by his wife Lina, his sons Leo and Daniel, and his granddaughters Zara and Sofia, whom he adored.

Visitation and funeral service at Glen Oaks funeral home on Saturday, June 27th beginning at 10:00 a.m., with funeral servie at 11:00 a.m. Burial to follow.

 Vince had faith in God and believed in the resurrection. His death has left a void in the lives of his family and friends, yet while he sleeps awaiting a resurrection; he remains very much alive in God’s memory. Jehovah yearns to see Vince again in perfect health. All of us also look forward to seeing Vince once again and the fulfillment of the Jesus’ words at John 11:25, 26:

“I am the resurrection and the life. The one who exercises faith in me, even though he dies, will come to life; and everyone who is living and exercises faith in me will never die at all.”

Passed away suddenly at Scarborough General Hospital on Tuesday, June 23, 2015, surrounded by his family.

Herbert, dear husband of Mary (nee Gemmell).

Loving father and best friend of his daughters Gail and Karen.

Herbert will be missed by his sons-in-law Ian, Glynn and Bernie. Herbert was a longtime employee at Canada Post.

He resided in his early years on Lipton Avenue in Toronto and later moved to Coboconk, Ontario.

Great-grandmother to 4 great-grandchildren.

Margaret was a lifelong member of the 48th Highlanders OCA and Past President of the Ladies Auxiliary.

Margaret will be greatly missed by many family members and friends.
