It is with great sadness that we announce Mario's passing with his loving family by his side at William Osler Health Centre Etobicoke Site, on February 4, 2015 at the age of 75.

Beloved husband of Giuseppina for 45 years.

Dear father of Patrizia (Franco Di Marco), Antonella (Carlo D'Erasmo), Rocco and Anna (Daniel Gledhill). Adored Nonno of Gianfranco, Daniel, Alaina Rose, Matthew and Jack Daniel. Predeceased by his loving parents Carmine and Franceschina and was the youngest of 13 children. Sadly missed by his sisters Rita, Liberata, Sestina and Anna and adored by his many nieces and nephews. He was a proud and longtime member of Club Aprigliano di Toronto.

We would like to thank the entire nursing staff at Princess Margaret Hospital, Leukemia Unit 15 A, for their compassion and care during Mario's illness.

To Dr. Vincent Maida and the Palliative Unit at Etobicoke General Hospital, thank you for your care during Mario's final days.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Benedict's Roman Catholic Church (2194 Kipling Avenue) on Monday, February 9, 2015 at 9:30 a.m. Entombment to follow.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (2 Lansing Square, Suite 804, Toronto, ON, M2J 4P8) or to the Palliative Unit at Etobicoke General Hospital.

Passed away on February 4, 2015 at the young age of 66 after a brief illness. 

Beloved husband of Mary (nee Anderson). 

Loving father of Wendy Ann (Wendy Snelgrove), Alice (Mark Bunn) and Kelly (James Hayes).  Cherished grandfather of Genevieve, Joey, John, Chris and the Peanut to be. 

Brian was well known for his passion for life, especially entrepreneurism, politics, sports, health and fitness, and good times with family and friends.  And if he could do it all at once, he would.  

Funeral service in Toronto, on Saturday, February 7th.  Cremation.

Peacefully, at McNally House Hospice on Wednesday, February 4, 2015, surrounded by his loving family, in his 76th year.

Beloved husband of Patricia for 52 years. Cherished father of Rick (Cheryl), Thomas (Mojdeh), and Greg (Correen). Loving grandfather of Lauren, Gavin, Josephine, and Samantha. Loved brother of Andrea (Vic Conte).

Andy will also be missed by his honorary son Al (Carolyn) and their children Andrew, Brittany, and Brenden.

Andy served in the United States Marine Corps from 1958 to 1961, and served with the Ontario Provincial Police from 1961-1991. Andy was also a local businessman in Stoney Creek, founding Canadian Alarm Services.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 8th at the Church of Our Saviour the Redeemer (25 Lake Ave. South, Stoney Creek) from 12 p.m. until the time of service at 1 p.m. Cremation to follow.

Much loved grandmother of 15 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. Dearly remembered by her sister Edith Randall of London, England and her Down-in-laws and many nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by one granddaughter Diana and one infant son.

William Jack FitzPatrick, better known as Jack to his friends and family, passed away peacefully after 87 happy, fulfilling years.

On Wednesday, February 4, 2015, Jack succumbed to a long battle with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).

Jack was an adored son, husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He is survived by his loving wife: Marguerite, three sons: John (Gail), Paul (Ambro) and Mark (Debbie), seven grandchildren : Derek (Stacey), Garrett, Kayla, Michael (Laura), Daniel, Daryl (Natasha) and Devon and two great-grandchildren: Stephen and Jolene.

Jack was a hardworking, intelligent man, who enjoyed a successful career at Canada Post for almost 40 years.

He had a passion for knowledge and researching issues that piqued his interest and he loved nothing more than sharing this with others. He will be missed.

A service will be held in Toronto, on Tuesday, February 10th.

Passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family at the Village of Humber Heights on Wednesday, February 4, 2015 at the age of 92.

Predeceased by her husband John and her daughter Gloria. Loving Oma of Patrick (Lynn) and Robin (Tim).

Cherished Great Oma of Matthew, Emma and Patrick. Tinie was a budding ballerina at the Amsterdam Opera House, which was cut short by the German invasion.

She met her husband John while working in the resistance after the Dutch Liberation and they married on December 13, 1945 in Amsterdam. Tinie started teaching ballet in the courthouse in Niagara-on-the-Lake shortly after her arrival in Canada in 1946.

She founded her own ballet company and school, several pupils of which formed the basis of the National Ballet of Canada. In 1950, Tini and John formed the Yoga Society of Canada, a non-profit organization.

As a war bride of World War II, John and Tinie's was the greatest of enduring love stories.

Service will be held in Etobicoke, on Saturday, February 7th.

In loving memory of Tinie, memorial donations may be made to the SPCA, Toronto Symphony Orchestra or the Royal Winnipeg Ballet.

Jean passed away peacefully at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre on February 4, 2015 at the age of 90.

She will be dearly missed by Harold, her husband for almost 70 years and by her children: Rick (Nancy), Rob (Rhonda) and Pam (Brian). She was a caring and fun-loving grandma to Julie (Yen), Wendy (Gabe), Amanda (Andrew), Matthew, Heather (John) and Michelle (Doug) and a proud great- grandmother to Ethan, Jacob, Matthew, Aurora, Halle and Katherine. Jean will also be missed by her friends at the Scarborough Retirement Residence. Jean was born and raised in Sudbury.

She joined the Royal Canadian Navy during WWII and was stationed in Halifax. Harold was also in the Navy and they were married in Halifax on May 11, 1945, the day after the Halifax Riots. Most of her adult life was lived in Scarborough interrupted only by brief stints in Espanola and Windsor.

She was an active member of the Scarborough Village Community. Jean was a great dessert maker and enjoyed creating pictures using bunka.

The family would like to thank the staff in the trauma unit at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre for the care that Jean received and for the comforting words that were communicated to the family.

A family-only service will be held on Monday, February 9th.

Passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 4, 2015, at the age of 90.

Devoted wife of the late Masato Ishibashi and dearly loved mother of Marianne, Elaine (Keith Smithers) and Larry (Barb Kawamoto). Cherished grandmother of Alexander and Cynthia Smithers will be missed deeply. Survived by brother James (Kimiko). Predeceased by siblings Fusae Kawakami (Japan), Ichiro, Yasushi (Noriko), Connie (Tom Kawamoto) and Ken (Etsuko). Sherry was a loving aunt to her many nieces and nephews.

The family acknowledges with sincere gratitude the kind and caring staff at Macassa Lodge, particularly Phyllis Kokoski (RN) and caregivers on 3CE.

At Sherry's request a closed family visitation and cremation are planned.

At Etobicoke General Hospital on February 4, 2015, age 88.

Husband of Betty Rita O'Brien, father of Shawn Scott Peter, Kevin Geoffrey Gordon and Maureen Elizabeth Marguerite, son of predeceased Earle and Emma James and brother of predeceased Elwood, Ernest, Clarence, Kenneth, Ralston, Douglas and sister Doreen.

Beloved grandfather of Silas James Todd, son of Maureen and partner Graham Todd. Mr. James had a successful career in the arts and in business. He was born in Bradford, Ontario, where he taught piano and was organist and choirmaster at Trinity Anglican Church. After locating to Toronto, he was organist and choir director at several churches, including St. Paul's (Rexdale), St. Barnabas (Halton) and Christ Church (Mimico).

He was a member of the Committee of Finance Officials for the Metropolitan Toronto School Board for 30 years and a member of the Kiwanis Club of Casa Loma where he was an active volunteer for the annual Kiwanis Music Festival.

He was a graduate of The Royal Conservatory of Music, held a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Toronto, a Master of Business Administration from York University and was a life member of the American School Business Officials and the Ontario School Business Officials. He was Chairman of the Renewal Committee of St. James Cathedral in 1969 and was the People's Warden of that Cathedral in 1971 and 1972.

In lieu of flowers, remembrances can be made to Trinity Anglican Church Bradford - Bell Tower Restoration Fund, Box 282, 62 Church Street, Bradford, Ontario L3Z 2A8.

Service will be held in Weston, on Thursday, February 12th.

Suddenly, unexpectedly, at home, on February 4, 2015, in Ourimbah, Australia, in his 80th year.

Ernie is deeply mourned by his second wife Sandi (Kilbride); by his children Lynda (David Beer), Christopher (Diane Bennett), Alison (Paul Moretti) and Mathew; and by his grandchildren, Adam, Joanna, Aidan, Kai, Katrina and Jacob; also by his step-children Kelly (Ian Mitchell) and Jamie (Vikki Woodhead) and step-grandchild Harrison. Also survived by first wife Shirley Morden.

Ernie spent the first half of his life around Toronto, working for three decades at Dominion Stores Ltd.

Thereafter, 1984- 2003, Ernie lived in Prince Edward Island, continuing in the retail food business, as General Manager of Island Food Co-op. In 2003, Ernie and Sandi moved to Australia to be grandparents to their newest grandchild.

A funeral has been held in Australia; a Celebration of Ernie's life is planned in the Toronto area for later this year.

Dad - you were loved so very much; we will not forget you.

It is with deep regret that we inform the sudden passing of George Kalkanis on Wednesday, February 4, 2015.

Cherished husband and life partner to Julie (Vardoulias) of 55 years. Loving father to Demetra (Barry), Helen, Soterios (Myriam) and Cristine. Loving grandfather to Jordanna, George and Steven.

Predeceased by his father Soterios, mother Dimitra and brother Paul. Dear brother to Constantine (Stella) and Marika (George), as well as uncle to many nieces and nephews.

George shared many meaningful moments throughout the years with family and friends, specifically enjoying the company of his grandchildren, for whom he catered to with many of his culinary specialities. He also enjoyed the company of all of his children's pets and ensured their comfort through consistent treat offerings.

During his retirement, George spent much time as a member and volunteer at the Holy Theotokos Convent and St. Panteleimon Greek Orthodox Church.

Service to be held on Monday, February 9th at 10 a.m. at St. Panteleimon Greek Orthodox Church, 11359 Warden Avenue, Markham.

A Celebration of Life will take place at Claremont Community Centre on Friday, February 20th at 4:30 p.m.

Barbara Lombard (nee Treloar) formerly of Scarborough at 81 years of age. Beloved wife of late Ken.

Loving mother of Lynda Lombard, Susan (Rick) Lindsay, David Lombard (Barry Quart) and Lawrence Lombard.

Proud Nanny of Shannon (Steve), Josh and Jon. Dear sister of Murray (Janet) Treloar.

At Oak Terrace, Orillia on Wednesday, February 4th, 2015. Lucille Lombard of Beaverton was the long-time companion of the late Leonard Donner.

Dear mother of Gary of Glenarm, Ray of Fenelon Falls and Carol of Toronto.

Lucille is survived by her granddaughter Candice and brother Robert (Evelyn) Bell.

Service will be held in Beaverton, on Saturday, February 7th.
