Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, October 4th at 9:30 a.m. at St. Paschal Baylon Roman Catholic Church, 92 Steeles Avenue West (west of Yonge, north side, Thornhill).

Everett MacEacheron, beloved husband of Rachel MacEacheron (nee Ripley).

Dear father of Gail (Tony), David (Laurie), Richard (Helen) and Robert (Melanie). Cherished grandfather of Sarah, Kathryn, Christine, Andrew, Kelly, Leanne, Adam, Tyler, Michael, Phillip, Ryan, Lee and William. He will be sadly missed by his extended family and friends.

A Memorial Gathering will take place at Smith's Funeral Home, Burlington on Thursday, October 2nd from 3-6 pm, family tributes will be shared at 4:30 pm. Cremation has taken place.

Special thanks to the Brant Centre team on 4th floor for their loving care of our father.

Predeceased by his wife Mona Madore (nee Lebel). Loving father of Michel (Tracey) and Dave (Tina) and granddaughters Emily, Jenna and Jennifer.

Survived by his loving partner Marlene Teggart and her children Julie, Pat, Mike, Maureen, Sheila, and Katie.

Brother to the late Adrien and Sam. Survived by his brothers and sisters Guildor, Yvon, Gerald, Gaetane, Laurette, Leonide, Doreen and countless nieces and nephews.

Resting at the ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME, 124 King Street East, Oshawa on Friday October 3 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Assomption de Notre Dame Catholic Church (384 Hillside Ave, Oshawa) on Saturday October 4 at 11 am.  Interment Resurrection Catholic Cemetery.

Loving Great Aunt to Lauren, Scott, Kelly, Wendy, Jamie, Danny, Cathy and Bradley.

Pre-deceased by her brother George Masters, sisters Dorothy Deakin and Irene Knipe, sister-in-law Audrey Masters and brother-in-law Jack Deakin.

She will be sadly missed by all her friends at The Woodhaven Long Term Care Residence.

Memorial service will be held in Toronto, on Saturday, November 8th.

Helen died peacefully on September 29, 2014 at Leisureworld, Ellesmere, after a long battle with dementia in her 97th year.

Loving wife of the late Robert Lorne McCarthy for 65 years, dear mother of Sandra Thomas (Keith) and Bruce (Denise).

Adoring grandmother to Bradley and Shawn Thomas (Tory) and Lauren McCarthy. Great- grandmother to Kaitlyn, Sydney, Ruby, Evelyn and Stanley Thomas. Much loved aunt to several nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by her parents Jane and Robert Greer as well as all 7 of her siblings, Roy, Marshall, Jane, Adele, Harvey, Isobel and Norma. Cremation has taken place.

Service will be held in Scarborough, on Thursday, October 9th.  Interment to follow in the Greer family plot.

The family wishes to thank all caregivers and staff at Leisureworld, Ellesmere, for their wonderful care of Helen for almost 11 years as well as all private caregivers from Preferred Health Care Services.

Loving mother of Brian McDougall (Janet Bodendistel), the late Ken McDougall and Elain Pulford (Stephen). Proud "Grandma" of Erin McDougall, Meghan Penney and Mark Pulford.  Kay also had four great grandchildren Ellie and Nathan Cunningham and Oliver and Henry Penney.

Her brother, Vincent Elliot, survives her as well as many nieces, nephews and their families.

Marianne passed away on September 29, 2014 in St. Michael's Hospital.

Cremation took place on October 9, 2014.

She is survived by her loving parents Marion and Jim Pattison and her brothers Bruce, Bob and Glenn and their wives Chantale, Tricia and Gita and grandchildren Colin and Taryn.

Marianne was an accomplished skater and artist and a true lover of animals, especially cats. She will be greatly missed by her family, friends and Buddy, her cat.

Memorial service on October 19th at 3 p.m. at the Unitarian Congregation, 84 South Service Road, Mississauga.

After a long life well lived, Victor passed away at the age of 88 on September 29, 2014.

Beloved husband of the late Larissa Artemiuk Pawlenko.

Loving father of Lydia and Natalie and sons-in-law Henry Lobos and Ihor George Lomaga and cherished grandfather of Emilia and Julian Lomaga.

He leaves behind his sister Olya Mychalczuk, brother Yuriy and their families.

Born in Uzyn, Ukraine, Victor endured the Holodomor (Soviet man-made famine of 1932-33) and imprisonment in a Nazi German forced labour camp during WWII. Despite these hardships, Victor came to Canada and built a meaningful new life, completing post-secondary studies and enjoying a long career at de Havilland Aircraft, Boeing, then Bombardier companies. He was also extremely active in the Ukrainian-Canadian community, devoting his boundless energy to teaching, publishing children's books and serving on the executives of organizations devoted to Ukrainian language schools and supporting a free and democratic Ukraine.

Heartfelt appreciation goes to the staff of the Ukrainian Canadian Care Centre, especially the 4th floor staff and also father's "guardian angel" caregiver Anya.

Visitation will be held at the Ukrainian Canadian Care Centre Chapel (60 Richview Rd., Etobicoke) from 6:00 – 8:30 p.m. on Thursday, October 2nd. Panakhyda at 7:30 p.m.

The Orthodox Rite of Funeral will be held Friday, October 3rd at 10:00 a.m. at the All Saints of Ukraine Chapel, 1280 Dundas St. W., Oakville, ON. Interment to follow at St. Volodymyr Cemetery, 1280 Dundas St. W., Oakville.

Peacefully, after a lengthy battle with cancer with family by his side at Ian Anderson House Hospice on Monday, September 29, 2014.

Beloved husband of Alison for 23 years.

Loving father of Mackenzie and Meagan.

Cherished son of Jean Porter and son-in-law of James and Emma Sant, brother-in-law to Charlene and Robert Wells and Allen and Ann Marie Sant, Uncle to Kiersten, Jake, Marcus and Andrea and special cousins Kate and Luc. Dennis will be lovingly remembered by many aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family and many friends. Dennis was a loving and devoted husband and remarkable father to Mackenzie and Meagan. He will be remembered as a kind and generous man who touched many lives. His legacy will live on with his two beautiful daughters.

Dennis enjoyed a successful career in real estate development most recently as Senior Vice President of Real Estate with the Stronach Group where he loved going to work every day.

Helen will be much missed by her extended family and friends and members of the Bloor Street United Church.

Peter Roxon (Oompa), 93, of Toronto, Ontario, passed away peacefully from heart failure on Monday, September 29, 2014.

Peter, born in Silesia, Poland, bore witness to some of the most horrific and glorious events of the 20th century.

Peter was an avid practitioner of curling, bridge and ballroom dancing. He had a very positive attitude toward life, always saying, 'Life is beautiful.' It was his way of telling everyone not to sweat the small stuff. He had experienced a lot of joy and pain in life, and his perspective was apt. He will be sorely missed by all.

Peter is predeceased by his wife Margaret, who passed in October, 1998.

He is survived by his son John, daughter-in-law Julie, granddaughter Lindsay, and grandson Sam. 

The funeral service will be held in Toronto on Monday, October 6th.

She spent her final days surrounded by family, reminiscing and listening to her favourite tunes.

 Doris is grieved by her loving husband of 64 years, W. Robert Sturgeon, daughters Carolee (Geoffrey Mason), Heather (Mark Swallow), grandchildren Caitlin Mason (Tim Allam), Brigid Brown, Robert Brown (Natalie Siegel-Brown), Courtney Mason (Matthew McLean) and great- granddaughter Harper Allam.

Also survived by sister-in-law Margaret Britton (Grant) and nieces and nephews in the Payne, Harvey, Blanchard and Britton families. Doris was predeceased by her parents Edward Milton Payne and Christena Mae Ferguson, her brother Norman (Doris Cook), sister Florence (Clarence Harvey) and infant brother Donald. Doris was born on May 26, 1922, on the family farm on the Bloomington (CFRB) Sideroad, between Yonge and Bathurst.

 She was descended from Gaelic speaking families in King Township (MacCallum, Ferguson, Stewart, MacDonald) and from members of the Primitive Methodist Community in York and Pickering Township (Middleton, Wilkinson), who later settled in Orillia, (Middleton, Wilkinson, Payne).

All of Doris' ancestors had settled in Upper Canada before 1840. For loving care and kindness in her final days, a special thank you to the staff of Lake House, Bradford Valley.

Funeral service will be held at the St. John's Presbyterian Church, 2940 10th Sideroad, Bradford on Thursday, October 2, 2014 at 11 a.m. Interment St. John's Cemetery, Coulson's Hill.

Donations in Doris' name may be made to St. John's Presbyterian Church, Coulson's Hill Restoration Fund (c/o St. John's Presbyterian Church, Bradford).

THOMPSON, Alec -

Age 98 years. Passed away at Glenhill Marnwood Life Care Centre on Monday, September 29, 2014.

Alec is survived by his beloved wife of 65 years Isobel (nee Reeves).

He is survived by his sister Sheila May Limb and brother Patrick Thompson and their children David Limb, Stuart Limb, Rosalind Bedell, John Thompson and Lucy Dymond, all of England.

He is lovingly remembered by his sister in law Edna Kerr and brother in law Richard (Joan) Reeves and their families. He will be sadly missed by Wanda Lambier, his friend and caregiver.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday October 18th at 2 pm at Glenhill Marnwood Life Care Centre (26 Elgin Street, Bowmanville).
