Daughter of the late Donald Daniel MacDonald and Catherine Christina Edge.

Beloved wife of the late John Clifford (Jack) Tighe. Loving mother of Wendy (Wally Cherwinski) of Ottawa, Stephen of Calgary and Tracie of Toronto. Dear grandmother of Candace, John, Andrei and Ivan and great-grandmother of Jasmine, Alexandra and Aubrey. Also survived by her brother Glen of Spirit River, Alberta.

Donalda served proudly in the Canadian Women's Army Corps during the Second World War, worked at DuPont for 27 years, and volunteered with the Rideaucrest Auxiliary. She was an accomplished cook, baker and seamstress and took great delight in her family and wide circle of friends.

A Celebration of Donalda's Life will be held on January 24, 2014 at 1 p.m. at the James Reid Funeral Home, 1900 Counter Street, Kingston, Ontario.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the charity of your choice, would be appreciated by the family as your expression of sympathy.

Loving father of Donna McQuade of Fort McMurray, Alberta, Sharon and her husband Dean Abraham, of Millbrook, and Scott Wallace and his wife Teresa of Port Perry. Loved grandfather of Ryan McQuade, Cory McQuade, Kailey Ranich, Tyler Abraham, Braeden Abraham, Jasmine Wallace, Chris Elaschuk and Mike Elaschuk and great grandfather of 10.

Dear brother of Joyce and her husband the late Bob Storry of Port Perry, and Carol and her husband Jim Pennett of Port Perry. Predeceased by his son-in-law Dale McQuade.

Service will be held in Port Perry on Thursday, January 16th.  Interment, Prince Albert.

Beloved husband of the late Barbara-Jane Dunlop.

Loved father and friend of Joe of Waterdown, Anne Marie of Barrie and Angela of Waterdown.  Dear brother of Julia Irons of Kansas City, MO., brother-in-law of Margaret Gubbels (Gerry) of Kelowna, B.C. and cousin of Dr. John Vintar (Thérèse) of Mississauga.  

Joseph was raised in Kirkland Lake and attended KLCVI where he excelled at all sports, especially hockey, football and curling.  He worked as an assistant accountant for Siscoe Metals of Ontario Ltd. from 1956 to 1960 and then moved south to Toronto to work for Matthews & Company stockbrokerage.

In Toronto he met Barbara-Jane and, in 1965 began working for the Dufferin-Peel Catholic District School Board where he served as Assessment and Transportation Officer until 1977.

In 1977, Joe, Barb and their three children moved to Waterdown and Joe began the final phase of his career as the Administrator of Transportation and Assessment for the Hamilton-Wentworth Catholic District School Board until his retirement in 1993.  Joe’s passion for, and commitment to, Catholic education were evident during his years of service to the Catholic school board.

Joe was an active member of the parish community of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in Waterdown. He served on many church committees and was most proud of his contributions toward the completion of the new church.  He joined the Knights of Columbus as a young man and continued to actively participate, serving in many capacities including Grand Knight and Faithful Navigator.

Joe spent his retirement years perfecting his golf swing and spent many months each year with Barb in Myrtle Beach.

Joe Jr., Anne Marie and Angela would like to thank all of the staff at Alexander Place for their care and compassion, especially the nurses and PSWs on Home Area 4.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at ST. THOMAS THE APOSTLE CATHOLIC CHURCH, 715 Centre Rd., Waterdown on Thursday, January 9th at 11:00 a.m.

John was the beloved husband and best friend of Patricia for 30 years. Dear father of Joanne Bint (Ross) and Gerald Shody (Lynda). Loving Poppa of Christopher Bint (Alicia), Stephen Bint (Holly), and Ashley, Tianna, Tyler and Teagan Shody.

Dear brother of Isobel Middleton, Wilfred Worr (Joyce), Betty Rowe (George), Allen Worr (Anne) and the late Nancy Manwaring.

John will be remembered by many other relatives and friends in Scarborough, Norland, Peterborough, Oshawa, Picton, St. Catharines and Bradenton, Florida.

A ‘Jack of all Trades’, John could build anything, and will be remembered for always tinkering and fixing things. A history buff, who could answer any questions about Canadian and American history.

A Celebration of John’s Life will be held at a later date. Arrangements out of Peterborough.

Passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 4, 2014 in Toronto at the age of 95 surrounded by family.

Margaret is survived by her brother Victor and sisters-in-law Betty and Marjorie, her nieces and nephews: Dorothy, Kathy, Victor, Susan, Brian, Patricia, Barbara, Christopher, Terri, Stephen, Beth and the late Carol. She will be missed by her 30 great-nieces and nephews, 8 great-great-nieces and nephews, many cousins and dear friends. She is predeceased by her parents Thomas and Laura, her sister Agnes and brothers Thomas, James, Murray and cousin Dr. James Bulger.

Margaret was born in Waterbury, Connecticut and then moved back to Canada in 1922 where the family lived in Cobourg, Ontario and Margaret attended St. Michael's Convent School and Cobourg Collegiate Institute.

Margaret Mary will be dearly missed.

The family wishes to express their thanks to the nurses, doctors and staff at Humber River Regional Hospital (Church Site), Toronto East General Hospital, Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre and St. Hilda's Towers for their care and compassion.

Married Arnold Ingerman (deceased 1987) in 1945 in Stockholm, Sweden and immigrated to Canada in 1949.

Survived by her children, Matti, Mary, Linda and Rita, as well as her well-loved grandchildren, many of whom she provided preschool care for: Erik, Pieter, Theodore, Michael, Gene, Garret, Kerri, Matthew, Nicholas and Harrison, and her great-grandchildren who brought her such pleasure in her later years: Jillian, Wesley and Patrick.

Born 1955, died at home on January 4, 2014, after a long battle with cancer.

He will be sadly missed by his loving wife Jacky, daughters Emma and Robin, father Trevor, brothers Gary (Hélène) and Robert, sisters Dianne (Gary) and Lynn (Bruce) and his many friends. Grant was a truly remarkable person and is irreplaceable.

He was fiercely loyal and loving, quick to laugh and direct with his opinions. He was an artist and created beautiful homes as a builder.

An experienced outdoorsman, he led youths on canoe trips and was a mentor to numerous young people. His childhood passion for toy soldiers developed into a lifelong love for history. His exceptional model soldier dioramas are held in private collections and are on display at Old Fort Erie.

A memorial service will be held at Enoch Turner Schoolhouse on his birthday, January 9, 2014, from 1 - 4 p.m.

LAZAROU, Potoula -

Has left this earth, on Saturday, January 4, 2014, to join her beloved husband George at the age of 84.

Will be sorely missed by her children Chrisoula and Peter, and grandchildren Nickolaos, Angela and Anastasios.

Sister to the late Peter (Voula), Georgina (Stavros), Athanasia (Nick), Stella (the late Niko), Louie (Rouli) and Athanasios. A charismatic and unique individual who left a lasting impression on everyone's lives she touched.

A proud trailblazer who left Greece to start a new life in Canada with her husband, where together they started a family who will carry them both fondly in their hearts forever.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 9, 2014 at St. John's Greek Orthodox Church, 1385 Warden Ave., Toronto at 10 a.m. Interment to follow.

For those who wish, donations may be made to the Pink Ribbon Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign. Bye baby girl.

(1948 - 2013)

Brother, Uncle, Adopted Father, and Grandpa Neil.

Neil travelled around the world, spending twelve years in India where he and his wife, Penny, opened a school for girls.

He will be remembered for his kindness, sense of humour and generosity.

Special thanks to all the staff on the 17th floor of Princess Margaret Hospital.
