Our dear, beautiful mother Gloria passed away unexpectedly at home surrounded by her loving family. Daughter of Ernest and Josephine Reeve-Newson, predeceased by her husband Joseph (January 19, 2015), she is survived by children Sarah (David), John (Michèle), Liza (Mark) and Mia (Ryan). She received her BA from Trinity College, University of Toronto, completed her ARCT from the Royal Conservatory, taught typing at night school, was a Museum Docent at the Royal Ontario Museum and taught children with developmental disabilities at Bendale school. Gloria was Joseph's legal secretary in his law practice during the '70s until his appointment to the Bench. Gloria and Joe cherished their family time at the cottage on Lake Kashagawigamog in Haliburton where they spent many happy summers.

The family is very grateful to Alma for her compassionate, tender care of our mother. Gloria looked for the best in people, always put others before herself and gave her children a beautiful and lasting role model. She will be deeply missed by family and by lifelong friends Bain and Betty Ireland, Charlotte Graham, Maggie Normand and many, many others.

A funeral will be held at St. Simon's Church, 525 Bloor St. E., Toronto, Saturday, April 25th at 11 a.m.
