Garcia_IsidroIt is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved father and husband Isidro, who passed away surrounded by his family at Toronto General Hospital on Monday, October 13, 2014 at the age of 63 years.

He is survived by his devoted wife Patricia Garcia (nee Quinn), cherished father of Amy Garcia-Baker (Michael), Tammy Garcia (Shaun), Benjamin Garcia (Stephanee), and Brooke Garcia.

Loving Papa to his three grand-daughters Grace, Isabella and Adriana. He will be missed dearly by his family in Mexico, Isidro’s sisters Teresa, Conception, Rosa, and brothers, Jose, Jorge, and Rafael.

Dear son of the late Jose & Rafaela and brother Poncho. Isidro will be sadly missed by his many sister and brothers-in-law and all of his nieces and nephews.

Isidro’s smile and positive energy was contagious and he was a pleasure to be around. He left a lasting impression on everyone he met. He loved spending time with family more than anything, and his children and grandchildren were his life. He was so courageous and complained little when facing his medical trials over the past few years; his bravery was an inspiration to us all.

Funeral Mass will be held complete at ST. KEVIN’S ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH, 303 Niagara St., Welland on Friday, October 17, 2014 at 10 a.m.

A special thank you to the Lung Transplant Team at Toronto General for their exceptional care to Isidro over the past two years.

Donations in Isidro’s memory to Lung Transplant Program Fund at the Toronto General & Western Foundation or to the Canadian Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation would be gratefully appreciated.

It is with profound sadness we announce the passing of John Scott Geddes of Aurora, ON in his 64th year.

John will be lovingly held in their hearts by his wife Nell (nee Schep), daughter Jen Jukes (Graeme) of Port Coquitlam, BC; daughter Carrie Meagher (Brad) of Vancouver, BC; grandson Scott James Meagher; father John Murray Geddes of Moncton, New Brunswick; and sister Jane Grant of Moncton, New Brunswick.

He will be fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews and friends. John was predeceased by his mother Peggy Geddes (nee Fisher).

The family would be honoured to visit with you at the Thompson Funeral Home, 530 Industrial Parkway, Aurora, ON, Canada on Thursday, October 16 in the evening from 5:00 to 8:00 pm.

Funeral services will be held at THOMPSON FUNERAL HOME, Aurora on Friday, October 17th at 11:00 am with visitation one hour prior.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Southlake Regional Health Centre, Newmarket or the Asthma Society of Canada.

Cherished son of Ruby and the late Harry Greenough. Dear brother of Ken (Randy), Brenda Jackson (Richard) and Bill.

Hammer_LarryIt’s with saddened hearts that we announce the passing of our wonderful husband, father and grandfather at St. Joseph’s hospital in Hamilton on Thanksgiving Day, Monday, October 13th, 2014. After a fierce and courageous battle with C difficile, Larry was surrounded by his family till the end.

At the age of 66, Larry was retired as a successful business owner and master of customer service. Everyday he looked forward to seeing and serving his customers with a smile.

He enjoyed the outdoors, travelling the continent in an RV, gardening and being 'Mr. Fix It' for his family, friends and anyone who needed a hand.

He leaves behind beloved wife of 45 years Diane, loving father of Chad (Effie) and Craig (Cheryl), grandfather to his much loved grandchildren Nathan, Sophia, Kristy and Michelle. He will be sadly missed by his siblings, in laws, nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral service will be held in Burlington on Friday, October 17th.

Mrs. Hancock was former Executive Vice President of the Lumber and Building Materials Association of Ontario.

After a long battle with Dementia, Nan quietly passed away at Winbourne Park Life Care, on October 13, 2014.

Beloved mother of Lynda Pellow (Bob), Craig (Monique).

Loving sister to Joan Jackson (Andy). Loving Nana to Teri Paisley (Rob), Ashley Andrews (Don), Shanna (Mark) and Elyse. Loving Gran to Aiden, Cody, Keegan and Owen.  Loving Aunt to many Nieces and Nephews.

Nan is now reunited with her husband Ian, mother and father Ann & John Craig, brother Joe and sister Janette Mataya.

A celebration of Nan’s life will be held on October 25th at Annandale Golf and Curling Club, 221 Church St. S. Ajax, in The Golf View Room from 1pm - 4pm.

After a long, hard struggle, Glen passed away at Bridgepoint Hospital on October 13, 2014 just shy of his 87th birthday.

Son of the late Arthur and Sarah, he will remain in the hearts of his beloved daughter Charmaine (David Campbell), brother Frank (Helen), in-laws, nieces and nephews.

He was a hardworking, strong, kind, generous and devoted husband and father.

His daughter will miss his love, quick wit and their standing Sunday dates desperately, but is content that his parents, wife Joan, son Tim, brother Bill and sisters Ida, Dolly, Muriel and Betty will embrace him.

Rest in peace Daddy.

With sadness we announce the passing of Martha at St. Joseph's Hospital early on Thanksgiving Day, October 13, 2014.

Martha is survived by her children: Louis P.; Catherine Kyle; Jane (Sil Dosso); Diane and Carolyn.

She was predeceased by her hu sban d William (1998) and youngest son, Patrick (1997). She will be greatly missed by her 9 grandchildren: Josh and Jessica Gollish; Andrew, Alex, Brian and Margaret Kyle; Louis L. (Claire) and Sean and Madelaine Meehan. Born Martha Ann Flaherty to Margaret Classon of New York and Louis C. Flaherty of Baltimore on May 29, 1922 in Hamilton, Ontario. Martha was the last survivor of an ebullient and prolific breed, the Flaherty's . Her 6 siblings were Elizabeth Carr; Robert Louis, Sister Marina (Marguerite) CSJ, Fr. Bill (Hamilton diocese), Joseph and Peter. Charming, musical, mathematical and proficient, Martha was offered a career in Washington D.C. by the telegenic, Bishop Fulton J. Sheen, but preferred to stay in Canada.

Bill and Martha married in 1949, spending their early years in Hamilton and moving their 5 kids to Toronto in 1960. A surprise sixth, Carolyn, arrived in 1965.

Once all were in school Martha pursued a career at Richview and Martingrove Collegiates. Martha was renowned for her retirement speech, 7 words in tears, "I don't want to be dead!" 

A Funeral Mass will take place at Holy Angels Church (61 Jutland Rd.) on Thursday, October 16, 2014 at 11 a.m.

A private family interment will take place on Friday, October 17th.

Passed away at the Milton District Hospital on Monday, October 13, 2014.

Beloved husband of Eulalia. Loving father of Sidonia (Manuel Luis Jacome da Costa). Forever remembered by his grandson Paul Jacome da Costa (Mary Ann) and his great grandchildren Adam and Ryan.

Survived by his sisters Maria Eduarda and Nidia Ivone (Joao Carlos). Sadly missed by his nephews and niece Alcides (Helena), Gustavo (Helia), Nidia and Hernani (Edna).

The funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday, October 16th at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 139 Martin St., Milton at 11:00 am. Interment.

Devoted husband of 51 years to Bertha Nallanayagam who predeceased him by nine years.

Loving father of Nimmi Pitt (Steve Pitt) Koshala Nallanayagam (Paul Lapinskie) and Vathsala White (Peter White). Adoring grandfather of Nicole, Kevin (Tali) and Vanessa. Predeceased by his brothers David Ariyanayagam, Solomon Rajanayagam, Alfred Jeevanayagam, Joseph Sabanayagam, Samuel Theivanayagam and Isaac Kirupanayagam. Mourned by his beloved nieces and nephews worldwide.

Paul stood up for his beliefs in human rights despite harsh consequences. We will miss his sense of humour, his magnificent tenor voice, expert Scrabble playing and fascinating stories.

The family thanks the staff of Wellesley Central Place for their dedicated and loving care over the last six years.

At his request, Paul's body has been donated to the University of Toronto's medical school.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 18th at St. Paul's Anglican Church, 227 Bloor Street East, at 11 a.m. immediately followed by a reception at the church hall. No flowers please.

Passed away suddenly at his home in Toronto on Monday, October 13, 2014 at the age of 93.

Beloved husband of the late Erna (2007). Predeceased by his daughter Ingrid Gibbs (2008), by his son Paul Parg (2006) and by his grandson Ryan Gibbs (2001). Survived by his grandson Michael Parg, by his daughter-in-law Heidi and by his son-in-law Trevor Gibbs.

Lovingly remembered by his family and friends in Toronto and Estonia.

A private family Committal Service and interment for Wally will be held in Minden on Saturday, October 18, 2014 at 2:00 p.m.

A Service to Celebrate Wally's Life will be held at St. Peter's Estonian Evangelical Lutheran Church, 817 Mount Pleasant Rd. (just north of Eglinton), on Wednesday, October 22, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. Reception will follow in the Church Hall (downstairs).

We’re very sad to announce Len’s passing, at age 71, following a year long battle with cancer.

He will be truly missed by his children Andrew (Jaime) and Kimiko (Kyle), his wife of over 40 years, Atsuko, and his 3 grandchildren; Fynn, Kiyomi and Wyatt.

Len will also be lovingly remembered by his sisters Kathryn Harris (Jack) and Nanci McCaul (Steve). Predeceased by his parents Gord and Dorothy Perkins, Len leaves behind nephews Jim Harris (Mic) and Mark Harris (Kim), niece Jackie McCaul (Toni), great niece Ashley and great nephew Tyler. 

Len will be sadly missed by cousins Karen Barnes, George Barnes, Doug Perkins, Pat Perkins, John Perkins, Ray Perkins, their families and many others in the Perkins/Barnes clan.

Len was a piano teacher, band member, photographer and model train enthusiast and will be fondly remembered by the many friends he made over the years.

A celebration of Len’s life will take place on Sunday October 19, 2014 from 2:00pm to 5:00pm at The Rolling Acres, 2941 Taunton Rd E, Clarington Ontario.

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Theresia on Monday, October 13, 2014 at 86 years of age.

She passed away at 12:30 in the afternoon.

She will be dearly missed by her beloved husband Andrew.

She was also the proud and much loved grandmother of Matthew Pfundt and Jessica Pfundt and loving mother of her two sons Ron and Andy Jr. and daughters-in-law Cathy and Angie.
