Lovingly remembered by 13 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.

Resting at the OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King Street West (905-721-1234) where the family will receive friends on Monday, January 19th and Tuesday, January 20th from 6 - 9 p.m.

Interment will take place in the Philippines.

Service will be held in Weston, on Sunday, January 25th at 4 p.m.  Interment to take place at a later date.

Fulton_SamuelIt is with much sadness that we announce the passing of Samuel on the morning of Saturday, January 17, 2015.

Samuel was the much loved husband of Isobel for 72 years. Isobel passed away on October 16, 2014.

He was also the dearly loved father to Sarah (Harry) and Mary (Barry, predeceased) Cherished grandfather to Grayden, Brian (Kristi), Michael (Lori), Sharon and Melissa. Adored great-grandfather to Reilly, Carter, Chase, Brock, Alana, Olivia, Haley, Ryan and Garrett.

Dearly missed by sister-in-law Gretta (Evans), their son Robert (Angela) and other relatives and friends here in Canada and overseas in Northern Ireland.

Born in Belfast, Northern Ireland, Sam served his time as an apprentice in Tool and Die making at Short & Harland Aircrcraft. He met his much loved wife Isobel and they married Oct. 1940. They had two children Mary and Sarah. In 1953 Sam immigrated to Canada followed by his family in 1954. They formed life-long friendships with fellow immigrants. Sam and his friends decided to form the Belfast Social Club and developed many social events around the Club.

He gained employment with A.V. Roe Aircraft during the Arrow project and was there until Feb. 1959 when the Arrow was suddenly cancelled. He then became employed with the Ford Motor Co. and was there until his retirement in 1985.

A Funeral Service will be held in Burlington on Friday, January 23rd.

Lois Guernsey (nee Mowbray), of Athol, formerly of Oakville, at the age of 71. Beloved wife of 51 years of Fred, loved mother of Charles and his wife Angela of Woodstock and Chris and his wife Patricia of Belleville and proud grandma of Justin, Alyssa, Quinn and Carter.

Dear sister of Marion Preston, Roy Mowbray, Doris Mather, Harold Mowbray, Ruth Cooper, Pat Mowbray, Nellie Creasy, Joyce Tolley and the late Margaret Gardner and Gladys Thompson.

Remembered by her many brothers & sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and friends and her church family at Cherry Valley United Church.

A memorial service will be held at Picton United Church on Friday, January 23rd, at 11:00 a.m. Spring interment at Cherry Valley.

Born November 4, 1924 in Ballymena, Ireland. 

Beloved wife of the late Alan Guest (1995). Survived by relatives in Ireland and England.  Nancy will be fondly remembered for her great sense of humour. 

Special thanks to Dr. F. Varlese (Baycrest), her caregivers, especially Ruchie Tan, Reverend W. Middleton and all the staff at Pine House for their concern, compassion and excellent care.

Will be sadly missed by his 16 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

Retired from a very successful career with A&P. A lifetime member of the Oakville Lions Club.

Writer, comedian, actor and broadcaster Don Harron, who brought laughter to millions, died peacefully at home on Saturday at the age of 90.

Our thanks go to the family doctor, oncologists, nurses and caregivers who helped make this possible.

His loving heart, encyclopedic mind, razor- sharp wit, kindness, playfulness and "punfulness" will be sorely missed by every member of his extended family, as well as the many, many others who knew and loved him.

Beloved husband of Nancy Judge (nee Ashcroft). Loving father of Kristen Rochon (Martin), Kelly Reid (Jarret) and Greg Judge (Jennifer). Cherished grandfather of Luke, Callum, Evan, Ava, James, Nicolas and Sophia.

Ralph will be dearly missed by his siblings Bob Judge (Gwen), Richard Judge (Marilyn) and Allan Judge (Deb).

Ralph’s entire life was dedicated to his family and improving the lives of those around him. In his final moments, Ralph was surrounded by his family as he would have wanted, as he passed peacefully.

As per Ralph’s wish, cremation has taken place. Arrangements out of Burlington. Family burial to take place at Fairview Cemetery, Niagara Falls. A Celebration of Life will be held in Ralph's honour.

Died surrounded by family on January 17, 2015 in the Palliative Care Unit at the Princess Margaret Hospital, Toronto, of lung cancer.

Born on August 13, 1956 in Saint Boniface, Manitoba, to his parents Gerda and the late Hans-Peter Kaegi, he is survived by his partner Sue Stickler, son Nicholas, mother Gerda Kaegi (Thomas), brothers Stephen (Elise) and David (Sally), sister Ann (Stephanie) and mother-in-law Margaret Stickler. Phil was the loving uncle to James, Adam, Cameron and Hanna and much-loved nephew and cousin of the Thomas family in Quebec and the Martis in Switzerland. P

hil spent the majority of his life in Toronto. He attended North Toronto Collegiate Institute, followed by St. Michael's College, University of Toronto. A bon viveur, Phil's lifelong passion was working in the hospitality and beverage industries. He began his career at The Keg Mansion on Jarvis Street before becoming assistant manager at Spinnakers in Queen's Quay. 

Special thanks to the extraordinary team of caregivers at the Princess Margaret Palliative Care Unit for their exemplary compassion and kindness.

A celebration of Phil's life will be held in early spring (notice to follow).

Peacefully, at the Trillium Health Centre in Mississauga, on Saturday, January 17, 2015, at the age of 88. 

Beloved wife of the late Satyainder.  Her children, Subodh, Sushma (Subhendu) and Sunita (Vikas) will miss her sorely.  Proud grandmother of Arjun, Aditi, Tanmay and Karan.  Savitri lived a good life. 

She was born December 31, 1926 in Punjab, India and spent her childhood in Simla, the Himalayas, then onwards in marriage to Delhi in India's plains, to the desert of Khartoum, Sudan and later the end to the northern climes of Canada, in Toronto, with her son. 

She also travelled widely from Asia to Europe. Knitting and the Islington Seniors Centre were her later hobby passions as was music earlier.  

Funeral service will be held in Missisasuga, on Wednesday, January 21st.

April 1, 1931 - January 3, 2015

Passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 3, 2015 at Toronto Western Hospital. Joan was born in Kingston, New York on April 1, 1931 to Evelyn Mayes and Thomas Moore.

Raised in Kingston, she was very active in the community and was regularly featured in the local newspapers for awards and prizes received for various competitions and sporting events. Her favourites included county spelling contests, dancing, horseback riding and bowling tournaments. Her determination to learn and excel was something Joan displayed all her life and led to her successful career in the legal field.

Joan started her work life assisting a judge in New York and retired from Gowlings LLP in Toronto 50 years later. Joan enjoyed working in the legal profession partially because of her love of the English language. Nothing quite perked Joan up like reading over legal documentation, completing daily crosswords from all three major newspapers and delving into novels obtained at the Toronto Beaches Public Library through weekly visits . During her career Joan developed many lifelong friendships which she deeply cherished.

She maintained these friendships and others, through weekly lunches, telephone calls and letters that were the highlight of her calendar. Joan was predeceased by her husband, Taisto (Ty) Lemberg of 39 years, her parents Evelyn and Thomas, her cherished grandmother Allyne and her uncle Emerson.

Joan will be fondly remembered for her quick wit, honesty, vibrancy, kindness and loyalty by her many good friends.

Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held on Thursday, January 22nd at 11:00 a.m. at the TRULL FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 1111 Danforth Avenue, Toronto, 416-465-4661.

Sister Mary James McMahon, CSJ (Mary Therese) died peacefully at St. Joseph's Residence, 2 O'Connor Drive, Toronto, Ontario, on Saturday, January 17, 2015, in the 73rd year of her religious life.

She was the daughter of James McMahon and Sarah McCulley. She is predeceased by her sisters, Kathleen and Rita and her brothers, Father Arthur, Francis and Edward.

She is survived by several nieces and nephews. Sister Mary James became a registered nurse in 1939, and entered the Sisters of St. Joseph in 1942. She nursed at St. Joseph's Hospital for nearly 20 years. Sister Mary James specialized in paediatric nursing.  

She was very talented and dedicated in caring for children who became ill, always showing gentle compassion and a warm smile.

Continuing her ministry in health care, she was assistant administrator and then local leader at St. Michael's Hospital. At Providence Villa, Sister Mary James was a floor supervisor.

She next assisted in St. Joseph's Infirmary for five years before she returned to St. Joseph's Health Centre, where she volunteered for 12 years. Since 1994, Sister Mary James has lived at St. Joseph's Morrow Park and more recently at St. Joseph's Residence, 2 O'Connor Drive. Her ministry has been one of prayer for the community and the needs of the world.

Visitation will take place at St. Joseph's Residence, 2 O'Connor Drive, Toronto, on Wednesday, January 21, 2015 from 3:30 p.m. with a Prayer Vigil at 7 p.m.

Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Thursday, January 22, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. in the Chapel at 2 O' Connor Drive, Toronto.
