SATTOLO, Pia - It is with great sadness that the family of Pia Sattolo announce her passing on November 3, 2020.
Born in Italy on May 5, 1930, Pia immigrated to Canada to marry her beloved husband Albert and remained devoted to him for 51 years until his death in 2007.
Pia will be greatly missed by her children, Elizabeth (Leonard), Antonella (Sonny), Gerry (Aline) & Christina (Patrick).

HANDJIS, Panagiota “Nota” - 84, went home to be with our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ on November 3, 2020 after losing her battle with pancreatic cancer.
Panagiota was born on May 16th, 1936 to Ioannis and Zaxaroula Hagias in Geraki, Laconia, Greece. She moved to Toronto in 1962.
In 1963, Panagiota met Nicholas Handjis and they wed in May of 1964 in Sparta, Greece.
They had three children together, Panagioti/Peter, Dionisia/Denise and Alexis/Alex.

APPLIN, Anne-Marie Haig - It is with most profound sadness that we share the passing of Anne-Marie this past Tuesday, November 3, 2020.
Anne-Marie was the epitome of elegance and a true lover of beauty in all its forms. Her vibrancy, brilliance, and joie de vivre were trademarks of her every endeavour: she embodied the maxim, “live each day to the fullest”.
She forged an exceptional and varied career in marketing and public relations, starting as the Director of National Training at Clinique Laboratories and moving to the Toronto Convention and Visitors Association and the World Trade Centre, Toronto.

BAXTER, Edith - Family matriarch and die-hard Toronto Maple Leafs fan, Edith Baxter passed away on November 3, 2020, at home, surrounded by her family.
Born Edith Newman in Usti nad Labem, in the former Czechoslovakia, on December 30, 1927, Edith spent her youth in England before coming to Canada at the end of WWII with her husband William, her parents and sister.
Emotionally she never recovered from the loss of her son, Timothy (1994), but her commitment to family and tradition, her fierce loyalty and love, as well as her quiet strength, are all part of the legacy she leaves to those left to mourn.

TYRRELL, Lloyd - On Tuesday, November 3, 2020, Lloyd Tyrrell, loving husband and father of two children, passed away, at 85 years old.
Lloyd was born on May 27, 1935 in St. Kitts and Nevis, to Arnold and Beryl Tyrrell.
He left those sister Caribbean islands as a young man.
His studies took him to Birmingham, England, where he trained as an Electrician and married Veronica Tyrrell.
In the late 1960's, they immigrated to Winnipeg, Manitoba, where he had fond memories of being employed by Manitoba Hydro, Canadian Pacific Railway and Canadian National Railway.

MACUMBER, Shaun - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Shaun Macumber, born May 7, 1984 - deceased November 2, 2020, from complications related to a short battle with Lupus.
Shaun is survived by his devoted wife of 20 years Rachel; his children Elizabeth, 14 and Robert, 12; his parents Robert and Brenda and brother Mathew.

WALCOTT, Jean Lydia (nee de Souza) - (5 January, 1935 – 2 November, 2020)
Jean Lydia Walcott, nee de Souza, born 5 January 1935 in St. James, Trinidad.
She was the 5th child of Henry de Souza (1901-1939) and Iris de Souza (nee Simmons) (died 1972). After her father’s death in 1939, at age 5, Jean went to live with her godparents, Roy and Maize Eadie, in Belmont, Trinidad. Maize had been born and raised in Martinique and spoke French fluently. Jean spoke both French and English fluently as a child.
At age 11, Jean won a scholarship to St. Joseph’s Convent in Port of Spain. She attended Teacher’s Training College (St. Joseph’s Convent), graduating about 1955.

She was born in Guangzhou, China and immigrated to Toronto, Canada with her late husband, Andrew Chu, in the 1960s to start a new adventure in their new home and a family.

VENDITTELLI, Roberto - (June 9, 1930 - November 2, 2020) -
Roberto Vendittelli was born in San Vittore del Lazio, Italy, in June 1930. He was raised in a loving family with six additional siblings. Roberto was child number five and was the child to his loving parents, Andrea Vendittelli and Concetta Capitano.
Roberto worked as a brick layer while growing up in Italy and eventually met the love of his life Pierina Massechia who he married and had 5 children with.
They eventually left their beautiful country of Italy to find a more prosperous land and decided Canada was going to be their new home.
