WOODS, Mary Jane - December 25, 1956 – September 1, 2021
Mary Jane passed away at St. Mary's General Hospital in Kitchener, at the age of 64.
She was the beloved wife of Robert Sloan since 1985 and mother of William Sloan.
She will be deeply missed by her many friends. Mary Jane grew up in the Weston neighbourhood of Toronto, the third of five children born to Frances and William Woods.
She attended St. John the Evangelist in Weston, and Loretto Abbey Catholic Secondary School in Toronto. Mary Jane graduated from the University of Toronto with a BA in June 1979, and graduated from Osgoode Hall Law School in August 1982.
She was called to the Ontario Bar in April 1984 and began her law career at Bastedo, Cooper & Shostack before practicing estate law at her own practice in Weston.

MIRABELLI, Antonio - It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Antonio on Wednesday, September 1st, 2021 at the age of 83 (born in Rende, Cosenza, Italy).
Antonio was a dedicated and loving Husband to Maria, a cherished and beloved Father to Beniamino (Nadia), Gianni, Antonietta and Natalina (Roman); adored and proud Nonno to Victoria, Isabella, Sofia and Karina.
Antonio is survived by his loving Sister Ida and is now reunited with his departed siblings Angelina, Pasquale, Franco and Michele in heaven.
A hardworking, family man, Antonio proudly devoted his life to his family and always ensured that those around him were cared for and deeply loved.

PORATTO, Claire Marie - Passed away September 1, 2021 at the age of 87 after suffering from a severe stroke surrounded by loving family.
She was born on February 3, 1934 to James and Mary O’Hagan.
She was the oldest of 4 daughters. Survived by her sisters, MaryLou Schornagel (Karl), Carol Baker (Max) and Catherine Marianelli (Tony) .
She was predeceased by her husband of 48 years, William Frank Poratto.

PRICE, Allan Kevin - 1959-2021 -
Passed away peacefully at Southlake Regional Health Centre, Newmarket, September 1, 2021 in his 62nd year.
Known to his friends as “Li’l Al”, he owned and operated “Li’l Al’s Custom Vans” and won many awards in the North American custom car show circuit.
“Li’l Al” was also a longtime sponsor of the East Gwillimbury Minor Softball Association.

McCARTHY, Charles Joseph - It is with profound sadness that the family of Charles Joseph McCarthy (known as Chuck to many), announces his passing, peacefully in the early morning of September 1, 2021, at the Elden Retirement Home, in Bradford.
He is survived by his loving wife Helen McCarthy nee Caffery. Proud and devoted father to his 5 children Frank, Mike (Erica), Dan (Julia), Tom and Mary Ann (Mark).
Beloved grandfather to his 7 grandchildren Brian, Carly, Barrett, Austin, Max, Taylor and Trista.
He was also preceded by his sister Mary and brother John and will be missed by sister Peggy and his brother Mike.
He spent 30 years mostly as a Regional Manager of the London Life Insurance Company, mentoring and leading a very successful branch.

BOLDIREFF, Anisia Elena (nee RUDKIEWICH) - Beautiful Wife and Mother Anisia passed away peacefully, on September 1, 2021, at Hill House Hospice in Richmond Hill.
She leaves behind her husband of 54 years, Archpriest Nicolas, her children Nathalie (late Paul), Tamara (Nicholas), Marina and Michael.
Proud Grandmother of Alexander, Nicholas, Christopher, Sasha, Ekaterina, Gregory and Isabelle.
Anisia will also be missed by her sister Nancy (Bob) and nieces Lana and Marina, and nephew Greg.
Predeceased by her parents Anton and Olga, brother John and sister Leonilla.
Anisia sang, read and directed in the church choir with her beautiful Alto voice.
She was educated as a psychiatric Nurse and later worked as an Administrator in a real estate office.

BUCK, Gordon P. - It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Gordon P. Buck.
He died peacefully with his children by his side on September 1, 2021 at Erin Meadows Long Term Care after a long battle with Lewy Body Dementia, only one week from his 86th birthday.
Beloved husband of Berit for 56 years and devoted father to Else, Bertina (Robert) and Peer (Claudia).
Loving grandfather to Jacob, Madison, Henry, Alex, Caleb. Brother to John (deceased), David (Jan) and Rodney (Carol), sister to Patricia.
His gentle, jovial nature and magnetic personality made him well liked by everyone he met.

FERNANDES, Christopher - It is with profound sadness that on Tuesday August 31, 2021, we said our final goodbyes to our beloved husband and father, Christopher Fernandes, at age 83.
After a lengthy and courageous battle with Parkinson’s Disease, Christopher passed away peacefully with his family by his side, who deeply loved him and will miss him always.
There was only peace at the end and he was given a good, spiritual, and loving passing.

DOMAGALA, Joseph Paul - It is with great sadness we share with you the passing of Joseph Paul Domagala. After many years of health issues, Joe passed peacefully in his sleep in the early hours on August 31, 2021.
Joseph Paul Domagala was born on June 11, 1934 in Toronto, Ontario to Helen and Joseph Domagala. Joe and his twin brother were the second oldest in a family of 7. At a young age, Joe entered the work force and tried his hand in many different jobs. He later settled into CN Railroad, where he worked until retirement.
Joe enjoyed creating memories on 101 Massey Street, Bellwoods Park and Wasaga Beach with his brothers, sister and friends. Joe married his childhood sweetheart, Evelyn. Together they celebrated 67 years of marriage, and a lifetime of exciting experiences. Joe was a father to Joey and Laurie (Dusty), a grandfather to Ashlee (Tyler), Lindsay (Cody), and Karli. Blessed one more time, he was a great-grandfather to Khessler, Kinlee, and Julia.
Valued time spent with his family, brought great joy and laughter. They were his gems!

FREEDMAN, Sam - It is with a sad and heavy heart we say goodbye to Sammy Freedman, son of the late Dina and Leibel Freedman. He had a valiant and courageous fight with leukemia and left us on August 31st, 2021.
By his side friend Serena Birken, and his brothers Louis and Irving (Paula) Freedman.
Sammy was an active man who loved to participate in getting people physically fit right until the bitter end with a great deal of humour. Many of his fitness clients became his friends.

Mary was born November 22, 1928 in Maberley, Newfoundland. Mary passed away peacefully, hand-in-hand with her loved ones.
Predeceased by her husband Peter (2002). She was a loving mother and best friend to Susan and her husband George Gilbert. An amazing and devoted Nama to her grandsons, Luke and Colton. She was a beloved sister to Lily (husband Howard), and cherished aunt to Suzette (husband Tracy).

MOORE, Brian Darryl - December 13, 1942 - August 31, 2021
Brian Darryl Moore bought a black Beetle as his first car, which he drove all the way to Mexico, then a Mini, which he drove across Europe for 5 months without taking a picture.
Next was a Fiat, which he hated, then a Datsun 510, which he used to rescue his future wife, Marianne Wiegers, from a snow storm.

OLINEK, Nestor - 1924 - 2021
In loving memory of Nestor Olinek, Canadian Armed Services veteran, traveller, father, husband, and friend.
Nestor passed away on August 31, 2021 and was predeceased by his daughter Gale and survived by his wife Lucy, children Gary and Susan, and grandchildren Jodi and Nicolas.
After moving to Canada in 1952, Nestor served 36 years in the CNR.
He lived in Alderwood and was a member of masonic lodge and the Shriners.

LENNON, Jean (Lewis) - Passed away peacefully at Sunnybrook Hospital, on August 31, 2021 at the age of 92.
Born in Spring Bay, on Manitoulin Island, Ontario to the late David and Grace (Buie) Lewis.
She moved to Toronto as a young woman, married and raised a family.
Hard working, both inside and outside of the family home, she balanced her life with travel to Ireland, bus trips within Canada and the USA, and was an enthusiastic supporter of her favourite Toronto baseball and hockey teams.
