BONE, Vernon Lloyd - (April 25, 1955 – August 7, 2018) - Passed away suddenly at home surrounded by all the things he loved.
Best friend and husband to Colleen Bone, beloved father of Lorne (Vicki) and Dallas Carvalheiro (Dennis). Much loved grand-father to Arianna, Tristan, Marisa, Oliver and Isaiah. Honourary dad and grandpa to Teri, Bill and Ethan.
An award-winning photographer, Vern's photography speaks to the best and most generous part of his nature – the desire to share what he found beautiful and interesting with others.
He loved cars, cooking and travelling and made friends wherever he went. Vern was a tireless volunteer and was especially drawn to helping the marginalized and homeless in his beloved Scarborough community.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Giffen-Mack Funeral Home, 4115 Lawrence Ave. E., West Hill on Sunday August 12th from 11:00 am - 3:00 pm with remarks at 1:00 pm. Wear something orange as it was Vern's favourite colour, and join us as we share stories and celebrate his unique, joyful life.
In lieu of store bought flowers, please bring some flowers from your garden and honour Vern by paying it forward in any way you can; in kind gestures big and small, giving back to your community and bringing a smile to someone’s face .
