THORPE, John James Charles - It is with great sadness that we are announcing the sudden passing of John Thorpe on August 6, 2018.
Beloved son of John (Jack) Lyle Thorpe (deceased) and Helen Jane Thorpe.
Deeply loved by his partner, Paulina Cadena-Thorpe, his sisters Lori Anne Thorpe, Tracey Jane Thorpe-Krejcir, their families and John's many friends.
John was a University of Toronto graduate in Chemical Engineering.
He was a true athlete who loved competing in triathlons, half marathons, playing hockey and was a superb skier.
He was an avid traveler who enjoyed being outdoors in natural settings. He loved listening to jazz, playing his guitar, and like his father, renovating his homes. His love of animals and his sensitivity to those less fortunate was endearing.
John's greatest joy was using his keen sense of humour to make someone else laugh.
To say we will miss him forever is an understatement. John, we love you and we hope your next journey is a peaceful one.
