ROCCASALVA, Concetta 'Connie' - Passed peacefully at the age of 60 into the presence of God surrounded by loved ones on Wednesday August 8, 2018 at Michael Garron Hospital.
Beloved daughter of Gaetano and Maria, loving sister to Rose (Mario) and Gina (Brian) and dear Zia to Lorenzo (Alyssa), Giancarlo (Leandra), Marissa and Nathan,
Connie was born on April 8, 1958 in Pachino, Sicily, Italy and immigrated to Canada in 1960 alongside her parents and sister Rose at the age of 2. Connie graduated from Eastern Commerce High School and furthered her education at Centennial College where she gained the skills to pursue jobs in the workforce revolving around design, artistry and architecture.
Connie who lived in the Danforth area for the entirety of her life passed away in a familiar place; a place she has forever called home. She was loved amongst neighbours, recognized by local shop owners, and cherished and adored by her dear Bobby. Connie’s hospitality, friendly demeanor, and beautiful smile followed her wherever she went and captured the hearts of everyone she encountered.
Connie will forever be remembered by her family as an angel on Earth and one of the most thoughtful, selfless and loving human beings. Her zest for life, her tenacity and her love for her family will forever be cherished. Connie was always obsessed with angels and now that she is amongst them in paradise she will forever guide and watch over those she truly loved.
Family and friends will be received at Heritage Funeral Centre, Toronto on Monday August 13, 2018 from 2 p.m.-4 p.m. and 6 p.m.-9 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday August 14, 2018 at 10 a.m. at St. Brigid’s Catholic Church, 300 Wolverleigh Blvd., Toronto. Following the Mass Connie will be laid to rest at Toronto.
