HEHNER, Barbara - My heart breaks in telling you that Barbara left us on Sunday, August 12, 2018 little more than a week after the joyous wedding celebration, and just two weeks before our own anniversary. It was peaceful and pain-free, which is what Barbara had hoped for.
She was surrounded by her closest family. Barbara never liked the "cancer is a battle" analogy, but her courage over these last five months was an inspiration.
A service will be held at Beth Ezekiel in Owen Sound on Wednesday, August 15 at 1:00 p.m. A Shiva observance at the synagogue will be held on Wednesday and Thursday evenings beginning at 6:00p.m. Following that, we will observe three days of Shiva in Toronto at 65 Skymark Drive (Finch and Don Mills area) apartment 1502 from Sunday to Tuesday from 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.
