DeNoble JeanDeNOBLE, Jean Frances (nee McLaughlin) - (August 29, 1948 - August 13, 2018) -

It is with profound sadness that Jean’s family announces her peaceful passing on Monday, August 13, 2018 at Peterborough Regional Health Centre at the age of 69.

Jean is now reunited with her beloved husband, the late Robert (Bob) DeNoble (predeceased 2005).

Jean will be deeply missed by her children Andrea and her husband Brad Cormier, David and his wife Kathy, and Brian and his wife Lisa. Jean adored her grandchildren and was an amazing Nana to Carson, Cruz and Carter Cormier, Adam and Evan DeNoble, and Owen and Kyra DeNoble.

Left to mourn her passing are her siblings Dan McLaughlin and his wife Caryn, Dawn Marie McLaughlin and the late Judy Blundell and her husband Peter. Jean was a dear sister-in-law to Jean and the late Don O’Neill, the late Gerard and the late Maureen DeNoble, Michael and Liisa DeNoble, and Marie and Ryland Evans. Jean will be forever remembered by many nieces, nephews, extended family members and many friends.

After spending many years dedicated to raising her children and volunteering for countless of her children’s extracurricular activities, Jean discovered her passion for teaching.

Jean worked full time as an Educational Assistant for children with special needs while earning both a B.A. and B.Ed from York University. Following her graduation, Jean fulfilled her dream of becoming a teacher and dedicated almost 30 years to her career with the York Catholic District School Board. Jean loved her students and her colleagues. She developed lifelong friendships with many people with whom she worked, and even in her final days, spoke frequently and enthusiastically about teaching.

Those who knew Jean will remember her for her quick wit, sharp sense of humor, generosity, and selflessness. She will be missed by many. Fly high with the angels Jean!

Family and friends are invited to join a visitation on Sunday, August 19th from 2:00-4:00pm at Thompson Funeral Home, 530 Industrial Parkway South, Aurora.

Funeral mass will be held at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church (15347 Yonge St., Aurora) on Monday, August 20th at 10:00am with interment at Aurora Cemetery. Reception to follow at the Our Lady of Grace Church Hall.

If so desired, donations in Jean’s name to the Heart & Stroke foundation would be appreciated.
