MÉSZÁROS, István (Steve) - István (Steve) Mészáros, 85, of Richmond Hill, Ontario, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 12, 2018 at the Hill House Hospice in Richmond Hill.
Born April 25, 1933, in Szany, Hungary, he was the son of the late István Mészáros and Terézia (nee Hegyi) Mészáros.
Istvan was married to Anna (nee Funtek) Mészáros on September 6, 1967. They were married for 51 years.
He is survived by his wife, Anna, daughters, Judit Petten (Michael), Anna Mészáros (Dév), Christina Mészáros (Enrique) and grandchildren, Nicole, Lindsay, Annika, Nikolas and Alexander as well as sister Maria (Gyula). He is predeceased by daughter Elizabeth Mészáros.
Cremation has taken place and to respect his wishes, the family will hold funeral services in Hungary.
The family of István (Steve) Mészáros wish to thank all the staff at the Hill House Hospice for the compassionate care they provided and without them we do not know how we would have gotten through.
