de Silva Josephde SILVA, Joseph E. Nimal  - Surrounded by family at Sunnybrook Hospital on Friday, August 17, 2018, peacefully passed away at the age of 82.

Nimal, darling husband of Janice for 58 wonderful years.

Loving father of Melanee (Stephen), Shihan (predeceased), Dolly (Dave) and Dinalie.

Beloved Grandpa/Papa will be fondly remembered by Sarah (Michael), Renee, Nicole, Isabella, and Aaron as well as, great-grandchildren Sophie and Mason.

Cherished son of the late Stanislous and Maureen de Silva, and son-in-law Clarine Perera. Dearest brother of Rohith (Hyacinth) de Silva, Ranganie (the late Reggie) Wijesooriya, Pemsiri (Gene) de Silva, the late Mithra (Malini) de Silva, Preethie (the late Prince) Symons, Mihiri (the late George) Vyantharasapillai, Nisal (Sunendra) de Silva, and Suranee (Nalaka) Weerasooriya (Sri Lanka).

Loved brother-in-law to Bernice (Terry) Pereira (U.K), Desmond (Blossom) Perera, the late Brinsley (Barbara) Perera, the late Maxine (the late Douglas) Wijesinghe, and Erin (the late Sena) Nugapitiay (Sri Lanka).

His memory will also be remembered by his many nieces and nephews residing in Sri Lanka, the U.K and Canada. Joseph will be missed by all family, friends and colleagues.

Visitation at Paul O'Connor Funeral Home, 1939 Lawrence Ave. E., from 8:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, August 21, 2018. Funeral Mass will follow at 11:00 a.m. in St. Thomas More Church (Ellesmere east of Markham Rd.). Private cremation will follow.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Sunnybrook Hospital and The Terry Fox Foundation will be accepted by the family.
