SEGATORE, Diva (nee MARCASSA) - March 14, 1928 - September 25, 2018 This is Diva's story.
She was born and raised in Timmins and remained forever a small-town girl at heart.
She met Orlando – the love of her life – on a blind date.
He was something else again: war veteran, ex-professional football player and a city rat born and raised in Montreal.
They married and settled in St. Bruno, where – for 10 years they raised their four daughters.
Then came the numerous corporate moves that proved to be disruptive and grand adventures both.
As were the familial roles of the time, her jobs were to take care of Orlando, the girls and the house.
She cared for Orlando for as long as she could. They relocated to separate residences, but she visited with him every week to the end.
Diva leaves behind daughters Carla (Rob), Claudia, Milena, Brian (son-in-law) and granddaughter Tori.
Orlando and her daughter Andrea predeceased her. Diva's ashes will be placed in the family plot in Montreal, and consistent with her instructions, the occasion will be marked by a festive gathering of the extended clan.
