SANELLI, Giovanni 'John' - Peacefully passed away on Saturday, October 13, 2018 at North York General Hospital at the age of 88.
He leaves behind Lucia ('Lucy') his devoted wife of 60 years.
Predeceased by his daughter Diana (1985). Survived by his daughter Louisa, son Carlo, son Mario (Maricon); grandchildren Kadija Naomi (Ken), Diana (Kyle), Chantalle, Brandon, Joshua; and great-grandchildren Carter, Emanuel, Isabella.
Lovingly remembered by brother Ernesto and many nephews, nieces, family and friends.
Giovanni was a family man at heart. He will always be remembered as strong, selfless and dedicated to his wife and children. He loved gathering with family and friends, sharing his homemade wine, listening to opera and Dean Martin, and was an avid fan of Italian soccer.
He will be deeply missed by his family, relatives, and close friends whom he loved dearly.
Visitation will be held at the R.S. Kane funeral home, Toronto, on Tuesday, October 16, 2018 from 2-4 and 6-9pm. Funeral mass will be held at Blessed Trinity Church, 3220 Bayview Ave., on Wednesday, October 17 at 10am. Entombment Highland Memory Gardens.
In lieu of flowers donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
