Jeffrey JohnJEFFREY, John Stephen David - Following a challenging battle with his health, Stephen departed peacefully at Bridgepoint on Thursday, October 18, 2018.

Ready to reunite with his beloved wife, Robin Robarts (2009), Stephen leaves his cherished children John Paul, Jennifer and David, and their mother, Catherine Kelly.

Favourite son of Paul (2008) and Jane Jeffrey, dear brother of Dr. Liss Jeffrey (2008) and Jennifer Jeffrey Deacon (Campbell).

Uncle of Jeffrey, JC (Jessica), and Gillian Deacon.

Fondly missed by Aunts Maryal Coke and Susan Edwards.

Stephen loved his years at Upper Canada College boxing above his weight, playing football for the Blues, excelling in track and forging lifelong friendships.

Stephen was always genuine, a creative thinker, eccentric, and had the great ability to make people laugh. He was a loyal and a dear friend to many. He graduated from Queen’s University (Economics) and went on to a successful marketing career.

Stephen loved driving top-down in the jeep in all seasons, motown, motorsports and fishing – whether in Florida or his favourite place on earth, Honey Harbour. Some of his fondest memories were of his many adventures travelling, especially in Italy and on safari in Africa with Robin.

Stephen was a survivor. His strong will to live was tested at birth. He was a “blue baby” and the first to survive in a newly installed incubator in Chatham, Ontario. Stephen conquered cancer several times. Always friendly and never complaining, his “black humour” kept his family and the medical staff amazed and amused.

We thank Dr. Liz Amos, Dr. Jeff Myers and the compassionate Palliative Care team at Bridgepoint.

A celebration of Stephen’s life will be held on Monday, October 22nd, 12 noon, at St James-the-Less Chapel, 635 Parliament St. (south of Bloor).

If desired, donations may be made to Bridgepoint.
