McGouran JohannaMcGOURAN, Johanna (nee O'CALLAGHAN)  -  Born Toronto, Ontario February 2, 1924 - October 18, 2018

Johanna passed peacefully at the age of 94 while in Lakeridge Health Oshawa Hospital where she was surrounded by her loving family.

Our mother was a wonderful mother, she was a fabulous Gran and Great-Gran.

She was a kind, caring, gentle lady with a great smile, who was so generous with her time for all family, friends and even strangers she would meet.

Her love of her family, her faith and her friends kept her with us for so very long, we are all truly blessed.

All the family wants to give special thanks to two of her daughters Annie and Margie who constantly, selflessly and lovingly cared for our mom in the last few years. She was predeceased by her husband Bernard of 43 years.

She was also predeceased by her daughter Mary Bernadette and her son Timothy and her own brothers James and Timothy. Johanna lived a full and loving life enjoying her family and friends.

She will be deeply missed by her children Kathleen (Ronald), Thomas (Evelyn), Bernard (Nancy), Maureen (Phil), Michael (Francesca), John (Sora), Bernadette (Peter), Joan (Paul), Annie, Margie (Samuel), Mary (Martin) and Karen. Gran/GG as she was loving called will be sorrowfully missed by her 30 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren and counting. She will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews and many wonderful friends, both old and new.

Family and friends may visit at Holy Cross Catholic Funeral Home, Thornhill, Ontario on Monday, October 22, 2018 at 2:00-4:00 and 5:00-8:00 p.m. A Catholic Funeral Mass celebrating her life will take place within the funeral home Chapel, on Tuesday, October 23rd at 11:30 a.m. Followed by a burial and a lunch reception all at the same location.

As an expression of sympathy, donations may be given to Community Living Ajax- Pickering-Whitby and or Durham Association for Family Resources and Support.
