ANTUNES, Maria Madalena (nee TORNEIRO) - Died on August 18, 2018
We remember with sadness the passing of Maria Madalena Antunes, suddenly but peacefully in her homeland of Reguengo Grande, Portugal.
She is survived by her daughter Lydia (Joe Melo).
Madalena was a very proud grandmother to Christopher (Lisa Evans) and Melissa (Jonathan Maguire) and had the pleasure of becoming a great-grandmother to Logan, Nathan and Riley. "Maria", as she was known to the "Agincourt Ladies" she cleaned house for, immigrated to Canada in 1958, eventually returning to Portugal after retirement.
While she saw her 95th birthday, her husband's death 18 months prior took a toll on her health.
Funeral and entombment took place in Portugal on August 22, 2018 with friends and family in attendance.
Family and friends in Canada are invited to attend Memorial Mass at 7 p.m. on Friday, November 23rd at Sts. Martha and Mary Church, 1870 Burnhamthorpe Rd. E., Mississauga, Ontario. Refreshments afterwards in the church hall.
